Definitely enjoying the vibe and content of this video. Only recommendation I have is make the background music slightly quieter so it's not competing with the straight knowledge you're dropping.

I just wish Force had follow actions for scenes in the matrix rather than the arrange page. It’s the glaring miss for people like me who prefer working in Session view in Ableton.
Please explain a little further do you mean you want to see what’s happening on the matrix when u record rather than being in the arranger. The force is getting an update too so push those requests to Akai before it drops.
@@BeatsbyLonzaNo, the alternative to using the arrange screen in the Matrix screen is thus. Record ideas in various clips Then if you equate a row in the Matrix screen as a song section eg verse, chorus, breakdown etc. You then copy clips to the different rows ie verse etc as you need. In Ableton you then create follow actions for each row. Example; Row 1 is intro, row 2 is verse 1, row 3 is chorus 1, row 4 is verse 2, row 5 is chorus, row 6 is ending. The follow action for row 1 could be play for 4 bars then play the next row. The follow action for row 2 could be play for 8 bars then play the next row, and so on. The chorus in row 5 could be set to loop around 16 bars to allow some solo improvisation before going to the ending. Automating these section allows you to create song arrangements but also allows some flexibility to jump between sections on the fly and also bring in different clips even if not in the original arrangement. Without follow actions in the Matrix view you have to manually move between sections, which if you also playing other instruments (I play keys) is not practical to do. For live work follow actions is invaluable.
I hope they never update the software for the computer because on mpc2 you can transpose each sequence. Example intro -3 , hook -0 , first 4bars +2 , second 4bars +3 ,brake down-3 . It gives each section a different sound making the beat interesting as it builds and drop . If I can’t transpose each sequence I might as well go back to FL lol
@@samgoldsberry3029 this is the force arrangement so it’s a lil different. But I’m just as fast on the force as i am on the Mpc. I wouldn’t think too much into it. For this video sake i slowed down to explain the process. I think you’re gonna like it more than you think.

@BeatsbyLonza Understood. I also have both MPCX and Force. I can literally arrange a song in 5 minutes using sequences and song mode. The Force software is great in some aspects, such as not having to link the tracks to programs and having to name them both. I guess it's a give and take situation for me. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

how does the force compare to mpc 3?
We don’t know yet!!!
OK!!!
how are yall getting this beta. they haven't seen me one after signing up

From what I've seen, you'll still have that ability
@@boomboombaby9140 yes you can do that with ease. They just changed the ease of making a complete song.

With MPC 2 song mode, you could have arranged and exported stems in 10 minutes...tops. The new arranger drains my creativity.
