As a digital art student at the time, the CG was so offensively bad it ruined the film for me. That crash was such a quality drop from everything before it, they totally ran out of money or time or something.
Clear and Present Danger is such a phenomenal political thriller movie. Jeremy should review it. And the books are great too...even if they are longer than 5 bibles ducttaped together.

I literally watched this movie the past couple of days and wanted to watch a review of yours for it but there wasn’t one so I commented on your last video to review and bam it’s here!! Literally you know what the fans want!!
One thing that's pretty strange in this movie is that there are conflicting info about the villains' first names. In the film itself, the general's name is mentioned by a translator to be Ivan Radek, and Glenn Close reads a file that identifies Gary Oldman's character as Egor Korshunov. Yet the end credits list them as Alexander Radek & Ivan Korshunov.
This was the first R rated movie I ever watched. I was 4 years old and always referred to it as the "Get off my plane" movie. One of the most memorable 90's quotes of all time. 😂

Air Force One has some really iconic scenes, you mentioned the killing the hostage one, but I'm pretty fond of the scene where Radek is being let go and all hell breaks loose and he is gunned down before he can escape.

Since you been doing throwbacks, ive finally sat down to rewatch soldier starring kurt russell from 98 and i gotta say, it actually holds up. Id give it a good time, no alcohol required.
This flick was a fun time at the movies in 97. We had The Lost World, Men in Black, The Fifth Element, Anaconda, Con Air, Face Off. A great summer for movies.
Only issue is the current political climate. The long running chain of "cops who don't play by the rules" films through the 80s and 90s could easily be attributed as a cause of our current lineup of "bad actors" who likely grew up watching these films, possibly joining the force to emulate these characters. So the review would likely begin with some sort of disclaimer.
The best story from the set is when Gary Oldman said there was a sign above the door of the green screen area that said "No Leaning. No Smoking." Just below it was Harrison Ford leaning on the wall smoking a cigar.
Watched it on July 4th, in these dark times, and it helped to brighten the dying flame in my heart, that is the love of my country. Also the terrible CGI plane crash at the end had me lmfao.

I always enjoyed rewatching this film as a kid, rewatched it again not too long ago and it still held up. I always got sad when that character at the end dies... They just seem to forget about him, no mourning even though he was a main character.
Great movie behind iconic movies like The Rock, Face/Off, Twister, ID4... but still great. Re-watching it pulls you in everytime cause even knowing what happens you still wonder how close certain moments came to it being successful
