    Here we do the port work and some chamber touches and clean up
    We work on the port finish after some bowl work and throat
    as well as the chamber touch up we do that helps make an efficient combustion chamber.
    I discuss the levels of grit I use and the importance of lube when it comes to
    achieving the desired port finish.
    As mentioned in the video, here is the Pr3 B16a Head porting video we did
    • B16 PR3 Cylinder Head ...
    The playlist will be on all the shop work we did as far as engine assembly
    porting a D16a6, D16z6 sohc heads to Bseries including the p75 crv head
    K20a typeR head and the k24 RBB casting head.

      Oh thank you man! I always try to “improve” how or what we share… be it on how videos are taken or details we overlooked before and can show next…
      Thanks brother 🙏

    I'm not well-acquainted with the specific casting details of the GSR head, but yours closely resembles the head featured on your channel belonging to a previous customer, where the HM markings are italicized. Initially, I thought your customer's head was an HMaking one from China, but it appears that the OEM head is designed in that manner.
    By any chance, have you encountered Chinese made Honda cylinder heads locally? I watched a video on Headgames' channel, and the comments about the casting were somewhat positive.

      yeah the Aussie destined core is similar I never realized it until you mentioned that!
      and true I saw the Headgames video a few times and honestly havnt had a chance to have my hands on one… actually I’m really considering asking Dave (owner) of Headgames where it can be scored and prolly save up to get one just to study and port
      I mean sooner or later it will be used for sure so a spare is always handy

    Nice work. How much CFM does your B16 and GSR heads flow? From Texas, United States!

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      They’re usually 295-305cfm on stock sized valves
      you in the United States for ease of shipping the boys at Headgames Motorworks are in NJ and Dave is a good guy too! might be another option to check (easier logistics)

      I mean heck I’d love to represent Texas for you but me thinks DHL will be more than happy amongst us lol! (Shipping cost)

    Good morning master, what sprays inside the intake manifolds? Are you doing this to limit aluminum dust?

      @SRDmotorsports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      To get a more consistent finish

    Hope it's okay to ask, which particular carbide burr do you usually use?

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hey slr, bfast was more important kase late 🤣
      I just use the common or regular carbide I got from a local tool shop it’s tree shaped or pear shaped? not double cut etc… I have the cylindrical shaped and the round one too but havnt used it as much unlike the tree shaped carbide
      it has a 6” long shank so it helps not being too close to flying debris 🤣 I know on the early days vid (2yrs ago) I think I made a vid about the porting bits but next video I make il have a moment to show them for sure

      @@SRDmotorsports Thanks! The finish of your ports are really nice compared to others that I've seen and it's not just visually nice but it also is effective 🍻

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for that! And well yeah I mean I realized back then (til now) I can rely on light and it’s glare on surfaces to double check or ensure consistent curve or bend and lesser unequal areas…
      The lube and mix ratio to “hand” pressure I know plays a factor as I did experiments on manifold porting to find certain finish too

      @@SRDmotorsports If you don't mind me asking, who taught you how to port cylinder heads?

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      actually it’s mostly reading on forums especially D-series dot org, as back then I started with a sohc and one of the early or second only mini-me in the land…
      Then further expanded thru HT on B and D series
      But prior? To the Dseries I actually started and tested vw heads on my dad’s bug 🤣
      Then the passion on rc planes helped cuz I was always fond of “aero” and flow
      Like to this day I’m still amazed at how they came up with the cooling system of the
      P51D mustang and the “Meredith effect” on the cooling system
