The exact same intersection near Eastland Ringwood. People just cant stay in their fking lane when turning.
It's either a racetrack or a traffic jam on the Ringwood Bypass. The lane to go south onto Eastlink is so congested it slows to a crawl.
@@robertporter9173 If only they had though to extend the 4th lane of the bypass a few hundred metres. One lane for Maroondah Hwy, 1 for Eastlink southbound, 2 lanes for the tunnel.
Because it would eliminate the merge just west of Ringwood St (we all know how good people's merging skills are 🙄), it would reduce the incentive to go up the two right lanes (to avoid the merge) and then try to cut across. Not going to completely solve the problem, but it would have reduced it.

@@PBMS123 first off i said intersection not a crossing for pedestrians, cars only have to give way if it is signed as a pedestrian crossing with the large white stripes on the road or the pedestrian has a green 'walk' light on the traffic light post, he had neither. I partially agree with the statement, But no new long journey is unplanned, there maybe certain cases of unplanned journies on a new road, suburbs, cities. But as a driver with a machine that has the potential to kill any living thing on the road at high speeds, it is our due diligence to look at the GPS beforehand to get a clue when to enter a freeway or what roads to exit. Some people needs to set their priorities straight, rash, dumb driving probably putting lives at risk or a little due diligence.
