Man. My dad never showed me how to do any of this stuff. Now at 40 I find myself coming to TH-cam for advice. Thank you for posting this. It truly means a lot

Thank you! I’m a 56 year old super lady! 😂. And you helped me today. 😢 my chainsaw worked and I was able to cut up a huge branch that fell near my 🐓 coop. Everyone is okay. Wood for next year. G-D bless you ! Today you were my friend, my hero! ❤🎉

This helped me out thought I was doing something wrong thank you for the choke trick. First craftsman I’ve owned. Mighty fine saw for $200. I bought a Stihl for $300 and a 16”. This craftsman is a nice treat. Plenty of power and 20” is a great all around size.

I bought a chainsaw when I purchased a home with a ton of trees. I wanted to clear some area I thought that was gonna be easy task but I thought again and hired a contractor. Now some 21 years later I find said chainsaw never opened or taken out of the case and I do have a couple of trees. I’m sure I can tackle and this is just a video I was looking for, yes it’s old but it’s never been used not even fueled up. Thanks for your video.

How much bar and chain oil does it take or how much do I put in ?

I fill up the bar/chain oil reservoir with around 1/4 to a 1/2 of a quart or so and check it every time I refill the gas as they both go fast.

This is not a great video and not helpful in the least, this person has no clue what he is talking about. This video is good if you want to destroy your new chainsaw. Bar oil is very important for the life of your saw, It should be a higher quality oil, this guy who obviously has zero mechanical experience is telling you to use old engine oil from you car. You should never re-use oil from a car for anything.
