We apologize for any confusion caused by the potential misinformation on the website regarding the LG 29WP500-B monitor's built-in speakers. In general, when a monitor or any product has a special feature, it is usually indicated in the product name itself to help customers easily identify and understand its capabilities. While, in the case of the LG 29WP500-B monitor, the product name on the website does not explicitly mention the presence of "Built-in Speakers". Upon further investigation, it has been confirmed that the LG 29WP500-B monitor does not have built-in speakers Therefore, it is not possible to get audio output directly from the monitor itself. This way, you can enjoy audio while using the monitor. If you have further inquiries, please do not hesitate to reach out to us through @LGUSSupport on Facebook or X. ^Danee

Hey Maria! Are you having trouble with the sound on your LG monitor 24GN60R-B? Let's try and troubleshoot this together. Here are some steps you can try: 1. **Check Connection**: Ensure the audio cable from your computer is connected correctly to the monitor. You can try unplugging and re-plugging the cable to ensure a secure connection. 2. **Verify Volume Settings**: Make sure the volume is turned up and not muted on your computer. Also, please check the volume settings on the monitor itself and make sure that they are not set to zero or muted. 3. **Test with Different Audio Source**: Try connecting a different audio source, such as headphones or external speakers, directly to your computer. If you can hear sound through the headphones or external speakers, it indicates that the issue may be with the monitor's audio settings. 4. **Update Monitor Software**: Visit the LG website and check for available software updates for your monitor model. Download and install any available updates, as they may include fixes for audio-related issues. If you have questions, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport. We're always available to help out! ~ Jupe
Hi. Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for the confusion you're experiencing with your LG UltraGear gaming monitor. Based on the information provided, it seems you're having trouble getting sound from your monitor. First, it's important to note that not all LG UltraGear monitors come with built-in speakers. Some models only have an audio output to connect external speakers or headphones. Please check your specific model's specifications to confirm if it has built-in speakers. If your model does have built-in speakers, ensure that the monitor's volume is turned up. You can usually adjust this using the joystick button below the monitor by moving it left or right. Make sure your PC's sound settings are correctly configured. Check if the monitor is selected as the playback device in your computer's sound settings Verify that your HDMI or DisplayPort cable is properly connected and not damaged. Sometimes, a faulty cable can cause audio issues. If you're using DisplayPort, be aware that some monitors don't support audio through this connection. Try switching to HDMI if available and update your sound drivers on your PC, as outdated drivers can sometimes cause audio problems. If you have further questions for us, please feel free to send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport and we'll be more tha happy to assist you. ^James.

So question. If you don’t use the HDMI cable that comes with the TV you can’t get any sound?. I’m currently using the HDMI cord that came with my PS5 because the one for the TV won’t connect to the HDMI port in the back of the 5. Pretty shitty if you spend $200 dollars and can’t even get sound because of something as simple as that.
Hey there, great question! It is recommended to use a certified cable with the HDMI logo attached. I have a LG 24MR400-B.A monitor. I can't get a sound on HMI but can adjust the volume in the monitor menu. IF I plug in a set of speakersr into the head phone connection I get a sound. looks like the monitor has an audio output feature but no in built speakers. it was no clear from the specification when I bought it. From the LG website no clear answer could b the monitor's H/P connection and got sound. Why was the monitor not simply shown under specifications as no in built in speakers but with a H./P output connection. Would have saved me time and I would have avoided the confusion

Hi, Omar! Regrettably, there are no LG monitors of 165 Hz or 140 QHD that have a built-in speaker. However, we tried to look for more monitors, a bit the same as what you're asking for, the 32'' Ergo QHD IPS Monitor with USB Type-C™ which has a built-in speaker. Can i connect external speakers to my LG 24GN650-b monitor? The only sounds coming from the “built-in” speakers are beeping noises whenever i’m fiddling with the settings. And when i flick the little cursor on the underside, it shows a headphone icon next to the sound bar.
Hi there. Since this monitor has an earphone (Headphone Out/ 3.5mm AUX port) you can connect an external speaker. Please check out this link for more information on how to have them connected through that connection; rb.gy/l973n. ^Anthony

I guess my 27GL850-B doesn't have inbuitl speakers, when I fiddle with the stick, it shows a headphones symbol instead of a speaker. I guess it's only for plugging a jack into the monitor itself for audio.
Hey there. We appreciate you letting us know about this. We understand the importance of a good connection for your headphones, and we'd be more than happy to look into this. If we may ask, what other troubleshooting steps have you attempted for this? ^Anthony
If your LG 24" Class Full HD IPS LED Neo Blade III Monitor (23.8" Diagonal), model 24MP88 monitor experiences ghost touch issues, follow these steps: Clean the screen gently, check for interference, update drivers/firmware, disable touchscreen, check cable connections, calibrate, test on another computer, and try a factory reset. If the problem persists, kindly send us a private message through @LGUSSupport on Facebook or Twitter for further assistance or repair options.
My Bluetooth audio is turned off in settings but I get a re-occuring popup about a blue tooth audio device is paired, Do I want to use it? How do I make this stop? Reset didn't work. I want the blue tooth OFF and no pop ups
Hi, Phrede! Does the notification show the name of the device that's pairing? We don't recommend ever connecting to a device you aren't familiar with. Could you also please provide your model number, so we can look further into your specific device? Because none of our monitor's natively support Bluetooth, the notification is likely coming from your computer. Please feel free to reach out to any of our social media pages @LGUSSupport if you'd like to DM! ^Ian

Hello, Warrdon! Sorry for the confusion; the 27GL83A doesn't feature built-in speakers. The UltraGear lineup of monitors shares a UI, so models will share selectable options, though not all features are possible. Please be sure to let us know if we can help or provide any more info! ^Ian
Hello Warrdon! The LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor, Model # 27GL83A, does not have built-in speakers. It has a headphone out, so you can connect a pair of computer speakers or a soundbar with a portable in port. ~Rita www.lg.com/us/support/contact
Hey there. Thank you for reaching out. If you're experiencing sound issues with your LG screen while using your PS5, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem. 1. Connect your PS5 console directly to the HDMI port on the screen. If there are other devices connected to your screen, such as a sound bar or home theater, disconnect them to see if this fixes the issue. 2. If you're looping your PS5 to your display through an external piece of equipment, such as a soundbar or AV receiver, try connecting your console directly to your TV or projector instead using the HDMI cable supplied with the PS5. We hope this helps! If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to message us in Facebook or Twitter. ^Jolly

ok i finally understand why my monitor doesn't have sound..... it just DOESN'T :) while the pc indicates "speaker of LG ultragear" and despite the built in sound volume control of the monitor, it doesn't have a speaker builtin.... then why would u include a volume control option 😅 it doesn't make any sense at all, only confusion
We understand that the presence of a volume control option on your LG Ultragear monitor, despite the absence of built-in speakers, can be perplexing. This feature serves a distinct purpose: it allows you to adjust audio output when connecting external speakers or headphones, which can serve as a hub for directing audio output from your PC to other devices. This capability provides flexibility to accommodate various audio configurations and setups.
Greetings, we appreciate your inquiry regarding this matter. It is feasible to transmit audio through the monitor's built-in speaker or headphone port by utilizing input terminals such as HDMI, Display Port, and USB-C. The specific type of input terminal and the method of installing the speaker will vary depending on the model. For more detailed information, please consult the product manual or visit our homepage. Additionally, you can find further details by clicking on this link in the comment: www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-monitor-how-to-adjust-the-volume-levels-CT32003206-20153192688882 ... ^Anthony

Hi. To answer your question, the LG 32GP850-B does not have built-in speakers. The circle on the back that looks like sound holes is actually for ventilation purposes. Hello i have the LG 29wp500 when i try to adjust the volume theyre is a heaphone icon, how do i switch to built in
We apologize for any confusion caused by the potential misinformation on the website regarding the LG 29WP500-B monitor's built-in speakers.
If you'd like to have audio output while using this monitor, you can consider connecting external speakers or headphones to your computer's audio output port. This way, you can enjoy audio while using the monitor.
If you have further inquiries, please do not hesitate to reach out to us through @LGUSSupport on Facebook or X. ^Danee

i cant make my 24GN60R-B reproduce sound from the monitor. Any help?
Hey Maria! Are you having trouble with the sound on your LG monitor 24GN60R-B? Let's try and troubleshoot this together. Here are some steps you can try:

Bought LG ultra monitor gaming PC even i increase the volume, and set speaker to monitor it still doesn’t sound
Check if the monitor is selected as the playback device in your computer's sound settings
Verify that your HDMI or DisplayPort cable is properly connected and not damaged.
^James.

I bought this LG screen that has video and there is no external speaker and I use it for the PS5, so what should I do please?

Does this monitor have it to where you can adjust the treble and base?
Greetings, we appreciate your inquiry regarding this matter. It is feasible to transmit audio through the monitor's built-in speaker or headphone port by utilizing input terminals such as HDMI, Display Port, and USB-C. The specific type of input terminal and the method of installing the speaker will vary depending on the model. For more detailed information, please consult the product manual or visit our homepage. does LG 32GP850-B have built-in speakers? There is a circle on the back that looks like sound holes.
Hi. To answer your question, the LG 32GP850-B does not have built-in speakers. The circle on the back that looks like sound holes is actually for ventilation purposes. It may not have a built-in speaker, but it does have a headphone jack and supports external speakers through its audio output port.
Hope we were able to answer your question.
