- Today we made a very expensive tool for pennies. The tool cost about $250 bucks to buy but that doesn’t sound fun. So we made it
.
.
The part is a pretty simple design and can be made very easy so we decided to make it.
.
The actual part you can buy is a little more complex but for almost no reason. Clearly in the simplified form it works perfectly.

The intro and outro were amazing
I agree 100%!
Just bought one brand new on eBay that came with the bushing install tool as well. $95.
That’s pretty cool. $95 is super good as far as price goes. It’s harder to find them if you need a specific spec.
I have to replace the seal and bushing on my 66 Caprice Powerglide. I am a machinist, but I am retired. I no longer have access to a machine shop! Maybe if I ask nicely, my ex-co-worker could make one for me???
I mean it’s such a simple tool I bet he would do it.
If he doesn’t we are thinking about selling them.
Bring him a nice cake and then ask😂
Awesome entry . We've all been there. That poor laptop. But I don't have the machine tools or welding skills to make that beauty. Certainly fun watching though. Very creative.
Thank you! It was a fun one to film. It definity is a project you could brute force with simple tools but it would be tough. Thats why you gotta make friends with somone who has a lathe😂😂
Where's the video of making to tool to install the replacement ?
You just tap the new one in. It’s only hard to pull it out
Well done!
Thank you
That was some skilled acting right there!
No sir no acting here
How much to make me one? $235?
mucho loco
Well this is entertaining and all that and it is a nice home made tool but here is what I did;
1 sawzall
1 sawzall fine metal blade
1 bench vice
1 removed tail shaft with worn out bushing
1 minute to carefully cut through the bushing over one of the 3 grooves
2 fingers to pull cut bushing out
DONE.
😂 glad you enjoyed the video. This was definitely more of a “we could make that” kind of project rather then is there a better way.
Your way sounds like it takes more skill as well
Oh my gosh 🤣🤣
I’ll take that as a good “oh my gosh” 😂😂
nice work
Thank you!
Hi, great video, wonderful ideas. Kindly tell me what thickness pipe you used, like 3/16" or 1/8" thick?
I actually don’t remember the thickness let me check for you!
Nice can I borrow it?
I wish I could give it to you but I don’t think that would work.
Hey.
Do u sell this Tool?
Im at the point to remove the Busher without opening the trans... :o
No, sadly we don’t sell this. I wish I could though.
Nice work. Guy You are the greatest
I try!😂 Glad you liked the video👊
Why not sell them ?
We previously didn’t have the time but decided to try selling some.
Are you interested?
@@ianpalm I am interested yes, but i have just spent thousands in parts for my 2003 ford f250,5.4 4x4 and im tapped on every card at the moment. Appreciate it though, you should list it on every video where to buy, thanks and lata !!!
Oh my gosh 😂😂😂😂 fucking dead ☠️☠️☠️ hahahaha
I’m glad you liked it😂 we had a good time with the video!
