  • 2018 Suzuki GSX-S750 on road price: bit.ly/2HD60cF
    Suzuki has started assembling their second "big bike" in India - the GSX-S750. The smaller sibling of the flawed, but enjoyable GSX-S1000, this S750 is powered by a 749cc inline-4 cylinder motor derived from the K5 Suzuki GSX-R750. And while its power and torque figures aren't class leading by any means, this naked streetfighter is known for extremely usable power delivery characteristics.
    The GSX-S750 also comes equipped with fantastic brakes and a 3-stage traction control system, which can be turned off if required. Priced at Rs 7.45 lakh (ex-showroom India), it goes up against strong competition from the likes of the Kawasaki Z900, the Triumph Street Triple S as well as the Ducati Monster 797.

    Z900 = excellent engine. Done.
    Gsxs750= good engine, better handling, way better sound, safer(TC).

      bought my gsxs 750, it has nice suspension , nice brakes, smooth engine, awesome sound, new looking, electronics...
      Z900 has more power but gsxs 750 is way better balanced.

      @jazzysaravana 6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      It can't get any better than this. To me the pricing is spot on. Who gives you 3 stage traction control in this segment? Previously it was the new Street Triple 765 S with two levels, but Triumph India has priced themselves out of the segment. It's new price is ₹9.3 lakhs ex-showroom, yikes! The price you pay for their premium service huh.
      GSX-S750's only real rival is the Z900 in India.
      Check out any comparative TH-cam review of GSX-S750 and you will only hear praises for the razor sharp but forgiving handling nature, quick turn-in, superb brakes, brilliant traction control. One UK journalist actually said, when comparing with Z900 "It feels sharper, it feels lighter, it feels livelier and more agile".
      I actually took a 20km test ride of Z900, I emailed my deeper thoughts to you guys earlier.
      I loved the Z900.. but my only gripes were the 4 cylinder symphony was overtly muted and the lack of safety net, traction control. Z900 has a very gentleman character to it. In that you will feel like you're really 'working' the machine only when doing silly unruly triple digit speeds. Kawasaki has made it so silky smooth and linear that a 125bhp 950cc 4 cylinder motorcycle feels so lazy, relaxed and leisurely!
      It would be an awesome motorcycle on unrestricted closed/safe autobahn type freeways in first world countries. But in India you have to be really really careful with what speeds your doing. Also under hard braking I noticed it had a serious nose dive. Could be adjusted with suspension settings though but not sure.
      Going by Indian media rides, the GSX-S750 takes care of some of the deficiencies Z900 has. Superb radial four-pot brakes, Stiffer Suspension, traction control, better ground clearance and a more usable pillion seat. Oh did I forget the sweet 4 cylinder symphony from the stock exhaust!
      Also checkout the Yoshimura slip-on exhaust note of the same. Sounds like a Lamborghini!
      Other brownie points, I found was that it can slip under the radar since it looks like a grown-up Gixxer155.
      If you don't mind the brand Suzuki and are looking for a brilliant all around package, to my knowledge GSX-S750 is the best middleweight you can buy right now in India. Can't wait to test ride one!
      Cheers!

      @Saravana Kumar It cannot go under the radar...because of it's awesome sound :). Yes it is a balanced machine. I wish it had better ground clearance for Indian road and little less weight...everything else fine though.

    Chill out guys Karthikeya will surely be back for the Road Test... however I would pick the Suzuki and not the Kawasaki because of a better exhaust, better electronics and partly because it looks muscular. The Kawasaki Z800 was better in looks than the Z900 IMO.

    Its very very confusing when people refer their height while testing the seat height. A fat person with 5 feet 10 inches is as tall on a bike as a 5 feet 3 or 4 inch thin guy as the fat guy will be raised by his bum thickness and legs looses inches due to that.

      DCV absolutely right, im a skinny guy at 5'9" - 5'10", i rode the 2k18 duke 390 which has a seat height of 830 which is a bit tall but i can flat foot it without any problem, my friend on the other hand who owns this is the same height as me but he's fat and he tiptoes. and the s750 has 820mm so im absolutely sure I'll have no problem riding it

    However the weight of the bike is bit of a bummer...

    • @DCVExpeditions
      @DCVExpeditions 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      People got stranded by broken throttle cable more than any malfunction with ride by wire. We shouldn't be regressive about tech as it costs money to companies to put new tech and they still do. If we will go as per you, drum brakes will be more fun than disc brakes as you will fight for your life all the time and it will be more fun this way.

    If price is not a constraint, which would be a better option : Aprilia Shiver or MV Agusta Brutale? How would this Suzuki GSX 750 perform in front of Aprilia Shiver and Brutale 750?

    • @ndperson1
      @ndperson1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gautam Sohoni cant speak for the Brutale, but the Shiver is somewhat a step behind when you get to faster areas. I watched a comparison from motorcycle.com where they compared the z900, the gsx-s750, and the shiver. They liked the shiver but said it is better at town riding, but then again this was done by American reviewers, and over here where I am they seem to put more weight into horsepower than other countries because we have such long smooth straights on our roads

    Are thereany heating issues

    • @ndperson1
      @ndperson1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nachiket Bidwai no, not that i have ever heard. I have watched people ride it in the heat and it didnt make them hot let alone the bike. Part of it is probably because it is an engine that originally was made for way more horsepower when it was in the gsxr so it is over engineered and built like a rock, so being in a milder state of tune it shouldnt have any heating issues. I have the previous version of this bike that you guys never got (not the gsxr but the gsx-s/gsr 750 that they brought to the US in 2015) is changed but the engine is almost the same (they just did some tinkering with the exhaust ports in the crank case along with doing some intake work). I have rode mine 5000 miles since August last year when I got it new as a hold over model and we had a 6 month winter where I live in the US so i have gone for many 2-3 hour rides where i ride it hard. I havent got to be personally in much heat other than once or twice, but no one that i know of has had issues with it either.

    • @ndperson1
      @ndperson1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      But you do really need to be careful about ground clearance. I lowered mine because I am short, and it has been an issue one time where there was a speed bump, but where I am the roads are usually pretty good. For bikes in this segment ground clearance will likely be the issue instead of heat (especially because of the state of tune they have them in)

      Nachiket Bidwai so far I haven’t needed much done, and what I did need done I was able to do myself (the first service, etc.). I just change the oil filter every oil change however even though it doesn’t technically require it since it is cheap. So far nothing has been too much. The stock tires are getting worn however, but I am not sure that the new bike uses the same tires when new

      ironshark123 nope.
      Read the spec again.
      Cb650 f costs 7.3 exshowroom with only 86 bhp.
      Gsxs has 81nm torque itself, 114hp, traction control, quite expensive and much better performing suspension compared to the budget telescopic suspension of 650f.
      Gsxs just sounds like a proper inline4 superbike from the idle.
      Gsxs marks the end of cb650f imo.

      Things doesn't work like that. All of these bikes gets manufactured in USA which is the biggest market and here in India all these which we are talking about are SKD. Honda starts at 8749 USD while Suzuki at 8299 in USA, while in India Honda is cheaper than Suzuki. And believe me naked bikes are no match when you do very fast or long rides as you hang there for your life, So there no end of life for 650F as it has no competition here.

    • @maxsarat
      @maxsarat 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      DCV Agree Bro on high speed and on touring naked bikes are useless you feel tired after riding just 100 km in Naked Bike, even if the GSX is more powerful than CBR top speed of both the bikes are almost similar I have seen some review where in CB the naked version of CBR does quicker 0 to 200 than the GSX, secondly Honda is cheapest to maintain servicing cost of CBR is lesser or almost similar to any 300cc bikes.

    Don't forget to say it's a focused bike and not the mass. ₹750000. Not practical for masses.

    why you want to kill youngsters by saying beginners bike? considering road conditions, almost no training for bike riding, and super big balls of Indian kids, is a lethal combination.
    staye with 125 CC and you would be relatively safe

      Vishal Nandre ugliest bike ever

    • @002codename
      @002codename 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      mAnISh kUmAr I know triumph look is subjective but m talking about that unmatched performance in the segment. Brembo with pereli and fine tuned riding modes

      Vishal Nandre Yah I agree. I've ridden Street triple X, it's a good bike but I didn't like its looks. It's like a horse with a donkey's body.
