Hey Nick thanks for another great video I was wondering if it is possible to mix colors of resin by using a turkey baster or even a syringe to inject a color into a color thank you so much for the beautiful piece you made on this episode
I am a 60 year old "newbie" at wood and resin turning, and I have to say what you created there was wonderful. You give me such great ideas. I also have to say that I love your zany antics, it really makes the videos "that much more" interesting. Keep up the great work and entertainment. Looking forward to your next video.
I don't know what it is about your videos specifically but my one year old absolutely loves them. Stops fussing, sits with me calmly, completely enthralled. Thanks for helping me stay sane. (And I love your videos too.)
Watching you make things is a highlight of my week. I'm an over the road long haul truck truck driver. It's only when I'm home every 6-8 weeks that I get to make things. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you. And please don't ever stop waffling. Makes your videos that much more fun!! Edi: That NEEDS a light!
Nick, you should have your own show on tv! My kids absolutely love all of your videos, myself included. Love the sound effects and the comedy, it’s brilliant. Plus we also get to see you make such beautiful items aswell, your talent and skills are amazing. Thanks for all the wicked content.
For those of us that live on the other side of the Atlantic, what exactly does "waffling" mean? Does it just mean to act a bit silly or is there more to it?
So, I've been a subscriber to Nick's channel for some time now and my good lady wife and I were sat watching this Arctic Glacier being crafted. We were discussing the fact that it wasn't round and that it was unusual but lovely. At the end of the clip my wife says "I really like that" so nonchalantly reaching for my tablet as if to check something out, I logged into Nick's website and bought it for her. Hopefully she will be gobsmacked. Bob in Wiltshire.
i love how you always wanna make a vase, but the comment section is like "THAT'S A MUG MATE, LET ME HAVE IT TO DRINK" i really love the funky uneven "rock" design, not everything has to be round.
Heartwarming beautifully made. Wonderful to see on a bitterly cold morning here in Minnesota. At 3:53am the temp is -6°F and with a steady 15 mph wind that makes for a wind chill of -31°F. Time to curl up with my cat! Stay warm and healthy PLEASE!
Nick, this is one of the most beautiful vases you have ever made ❤️ I would say it is like the wild ocean in a storm hitting the underwater landscape, churning in a most beautiful dance. This vase is so imperfectly perfect! ❤️❤️
I was hoping you wouldn't go the typical round route, and love the glacier angled crystal effect you came up with! I wish you had shown what it looks like with one of those battery operated tea lights inside of it, I be it would be beautiful.
I came here because of pretty things being made but stayed for your delightful accent and the waffling! It's honestly refreshing that you're not afraid to be a goofball.
This video has it all! The piece is gorgeous (my favorite so far), the waffling is fun, the Yorkshire Grit made its grand appearance... I could go on and on. Thank you Nick, for sharing your passion with us! It’s entertaining and inspiring!
Anyone who doesn’t enjoy your “ waffling” must have very little sense of humour. I am smiling and laughing all the way through your videos. Carry on, I love it. :)
This blank looked awesome before you even started, and I love that you decided on this crystalline looking outside. Perfection, probably one of my favorites that you've done!
I love to hear you waffle on. It's one of the reasons I watch your videos, aside from the truly amazing things you create. This piece is no exception. Outstanding!
I love the clear part with wood and color. So kool. One of my favorites. Can you do some more videos with weird things. I watch your pencils videos over snd over. They are sooooo kool!!! The best on TH-cam!! Waffle on 🤪🤪
Think your collection of cut off bits would make a beautiful chandelier. Love this project, mix of materials, colours & shape. Absolutely beautiful 🤩 ✌🏼🇨🇦
That turned out so beautifully, I love it! The colours are perfect together. If it were mine I would probably put a small glass votive holder and candle in it sometimes, and flowers other times. Thanks for another fun video and lovely project, Nick. and, some of us are loving the wild long hair, js ♥
Nick, an idea... The next time you set about making somthing similar, put some tiny LED bulbs in the mix with the power leads sticking out. Then after you have made it, connect the LEDs to a power source. That way the piece would be self-illuminating from inside out.
I´m in _LOVE_ with this piece! 💜 what a beauty! :) And a side note, I stayed til the end, I know how much that means for the algorithm, as does a comment, even if it´s just a heart or just a dot, and personally, I think it´s such an easy, good way to show the creator that you appreciate their content, it´s not that hard and it doesn´t take that much time just to stay til the end and show some appreciation n form of a thumbs up and a comment, for all the hard work you do to make this videos AND sharing them for FREE, so as a viewer, this is the least I can do :) Thank you for sharing :) 💜

This is probably your most beautiful piece yet! It was beautiful from the start, it was beautiful when you were working on it, and it was beautiful when you finished it!
Nick, I absolutely loved it. Am a bit like you with being impatient with my sanding. However, that vase turned out incredible. Those angles added tremendously to it's character. Round all the time is a bit boring. Not sure about your stats with waffling. I find your waffling quite entertaining. Have tried all I can and am disappointed that I cannot stream your show on the telly. Thanks a million and waffle on!
Its so weird that when you brought out the block my first thought was I wonder if he could make a different shape other than round! I was floored when you stopped rounding it out! Great minds and all that! LOL
That music at the end of your video is just fantastic - it's a nice accompaniment to the beauty shots of your fabulous creations. Your videos have excellent production value start to finish. Thank you. ❤️
You're always so energetic in your videos , I hope it doesn't drain your energy and that you can keep doing this with joy. You did some very nice laithe work and the finished piece looks really cool :) keep it up!
This is outstanding! I love the weird and wonderfulness of it, love the colors, love that it looks kind of faceted in an odd sort of way. I think it would be wonderful with a tea light inside shining through the wonderfulness. Great job!
It's beautiful, like smoke flowing through the it. I have to say, if you're having a bad day just watch one of Nick's videos, you'll be smiling and laughing by the end. All while he's making something fantastic. Thanks Nick for helping us get through this past year.
🤯🤩 That look you get on your face when your husband says "Funky Harry Potter" has got a new video out and it looks pretty cool! It has a beachy Artic glacier look about it.
@@LunarNagito probably, but I know that some researchers a few years ago were trying to cast cotton candy in ?silicone? to mimic capillaries. They would dissolve the candy with water after after the silicone set up so they had a little pre-built capillary system in the silicone. It would be cool to see if that were possible in resin, then maybe use a vacuum to pull resin into the capillaries. But it'll probably just be a weird way to color resin.
@@johnweems4586 I think the possibilities of some really cool results might just be worth it. I wonder if you could put an LED in it and get a soft ethereal glow. A kind of mad astronomers light. I also wonder if you could create an Aurora Borealis effect by using various knitting needles 2 poke holes in silicone and then cast resin. Is such a thing possible? A curtain effect in resin.
That would b beautiful if possible. Ur comment made me go into too deep a thoughts trying to picture the 'how' part n it made me think of when we used ta pull cotton sheets to make cobwebs, but then I remembered cotton candy has the sugar crystals so that's when I started thinking too hard about it. It turned out absolutely beautifully! You could even stick a string of mini (seriously mini!) ice white LEDs in there. I can imagine it would make a nice glow
That really came out beautiful & I love the faceted, crystalline shape. Suits the blue resin perfectly. If you want to cut down on all that sanding, cutting compounds like jeweller's rouge on a flap wheel can be used on something you've taken to about 240/300 grit & it'll polish it up lovely without all the time & mess. it's my go-to shortcut when working with acrylics, but you do need to be a bit mindful of heat buildup (which I suppose is true of sanding too).
Absolutely Love watching you, I have been watching all the older videos. Now my husband is interested in your work! Thanks keep posting and for goodness sakes waffle on! Love your accent!
I love this piece 😍 I grew up in Labrador, Newfoundland, and it reminds me of the glaciers floating by in summer. Icebergs are never fully round and the fact that you stepped outside the box makes is a uniquely stunning piece. A great addition to any decor. Bravo 👏
I love this one Nick, not just because of the different shape ,but the cool effect of the resin and that wood has a starburst in it too it is an amazingly beautiful vase my favourite one at the moment..I hope you and your family are all safe and well 🥰
This may be my favorite of all your projects thus far. I love the organic quality. I would put a little battery candle in it. Pendants from those scraps are good but it would also be fun to cast them in a larger, different color resin piece.
I think it came out great. I like what you decided to do with it. It looks more like a glacier. The polish came out phenomenal, it looks like a chunk of glass. Very cool bud. Funky indeed
What a gorgeous piece Nick. Looks tome as if you cut and polished a giant aquamarine into a gemstone. Put a battery operated boogie light in and you have a very cool lamp. Besides aint nothing better for me than a waffle over a cuppa.

Right, awesome work with the polish on that one. 👏

Bring on the Waffling......... and if that is food safe, that would make a great beer mug
