• *Isn't the Lightforce actually called the Living Light?* - Originally yes, but it has officially been the Lightforce since 2016. Remember, Cloak's Darkforce Dimension didn't even have a name for years. It was just called "a dark dimension" until it was officially named Darkforce.
• *Why didn't you mention Blackheart living and ruling over the Darkforce Dimension?* - Because in my research, I couldn't find ANYTHING backing that claim up. It looks like this was some nonsense somebody put on a wiki page without any sources, but nobody bothered fact checking. Since then, people kept parroting this and ALSO didn't fact check so it's become a misconception. By all means, if you have a source showing otherwise, let me know and I'll make an amendment.

Dude, you are the best creator of Comic Book-related content on this platform. All of your videos are super informative and I very much just vibe with you as a person. I really hope that this channel takes off and that it gets the recognition it deserves because I feel like a lot of the popular comic book-related channels don't do nearly as much analyzing and just do a poor job at doing any of the things you do. Your channel is so unique and I think speaks to the audience that truly LOVES comic books and the content that writers spent time working on that the audience neglected to ponder. I do not think your channel caters to the weak of mind with pointless episodes like "these comics said this this week" and "oh, you don't know spiderman or batman, let me give their back stories". Your videos are truly just very well put together and you speak with a type of elegance/intelligence that most channels do not. You are dope. Keep doing you.
Hey, thanks! I don't like to badmouth other creators since at the end of the day, we're all spreading the love of comics and that's pretty rad! However, I will agree that many channels don't dive very deep and I hope that I can set a better example of informative, but understandable content!

I think cloak is basically there for plot convenience now. leave his powers vaguely defined so that he can show up as a deus ex machina for an event or as a friend for characters like wolverine who aren't powerful enough or don't have the proper skills to deal with a threat the author created.

From what's been shown, Cloak constantly has a hunger for life energy which the Lightforce is entirely made up of. Conversely, Dagger's energy is kept in check through Cloak. I would say it's mutually beneficial.

I came here by accident, I'm not a comics expert, but I grew up in the middle of Europe and I'm familiar with Slavic mythology - so this Charnobog (in our language it's the Black God "Czarno-bog") is generally a bit of an Anubis version, responsible for entropy and abyss. It may not have that overtone in the universes, but I think it may be useful to someone interested.

Well, if you're a fan of D&D like me, the concept of the Darkforce and the Lightforce as dimensions, are eerily similar to the Negative and Positive Energy Planes.
I would accept a 30 second long video of Drake just trying to understand Cyclops's "Punch" dimension.

The Galadorian Spaceknight Starshine wielded The Living Light to awesome effect. She could project light beams as lasers or paralysis rays. She could teleport over interstellar distances and inter-dimensionally. She could change the molecular structure of things. In one issue, she turned someone's thoughts into light waves and then used the information to teleport them both to a location she'd never been thousands of miles away. Starshine was a powerhouse.

Well I learned something new tonight about characters I thought I understood. Good work though I'm surprised you didn't mention the fact that the Darkforce Dimension can manifest people's fears.
i had no idea you could walk through doorman! I thought his power was to teleport to the next room, but that power seems like it could get a lot of milage!
So I'm going to assume the shows either out or out soon or this is a multi part thing if it's not out soon or you're talking the Scott approach
My hypothesis (theories require evidence) is that the Darkforce represents one of the Marvel Universe's aspects/ideas of death; specifically, the hopelessness and despair one could find in it. The "true darkness" that humans, and I suppose other living beings too, instinctually fear. The reason its use creates gateways to it is also linked to its tendency to instill madness: you open yourself up to that despair, and are thus more susceptible to self-destructive thoughts and behaviours.
The Lightforce being positioned as its counterpart is thus the opposite. A power containing of the raw beauty and majesty of being alive. It is something inherently created by the concept of living, and thus has no true dimension to draw from, but instead manifests from things like thrill, companionship, or a hearty meal.
Just like how there is always big things to feel bad about, the sheer quantity of little things to feel good about is enough to balance it out theoretically, except most of them are so small and disconnected they're rarely noticed. But sometimes, tiny slivers of light are just enough to stave off the darkness, at least for a little while.

In that you find out Wiccan/Billy Kaplin eventually becomes Sorcerer Supreme, and when he does he has a Red & Black Cloak ,like Cloak's grey & Black Cloak, which serves many of the same functions, connecting him to the "Dark Force Dimension".....Just a fun fyi.... love your vids love your channel!
It makes sense that Dark Energy can be used for teleportation considering that the only way we would be able to time travel is if we could use dark energy/negative energy and make portals

Darkness is not evil. In my own mythos, it's on an equal moral footing with Light. Without one the other spirals out of control leading only to tragedy, be it Dark or Light.

Oddly enough, my fanbase doesn't really share out my videos to anyone outside of the people who already watch them. :/ TH-cam's algorithm favors the bigger channels which has me growing at a smaller rate. I know there are quite a few characters that tap strictly into the dark force, but is Dagger the only charcter that taps strictly into the light force?
There's a couple others including Mr. Negative, but it's far less which is why it's less fleshed out in comics.
