I just got excalibur almost as soon as I got to england.
Doing the 8 caves is super easy despite being under leveled, as there are no enemies (except for one cave that has chickens and 2 boars)
Plus the caves give you an absolute ton of iron and leather letting you upgrade your rations and arrows easily.
Then fighting the 3 zealots when 200 levels under isn't too bad, if you unlock missile return. The most annoying thing is their infinite health regen.
Although, i actually fought the first zealot before i knew about missile return. What i did for him was I led him to a body of water, then called my long ship, then got on the long ship, so that id have infinite arrows. Then I just chipped away at him
Yeah they are very doable if you fight them melee too. It took me maybe 6 or 7 tries but just parry and dodge. What funny is I didn't even know they were that lvl.... I just got to England and started exploring and found him lol

I bought a sythe from the trade stall in my settlement for 120 opals & all weapons bought from him automatically get added in your next new game after leaving norway to England.
The nerfed up with speed sythe special move is devastating and using the set on fire with crit hits rune is brutal
Not sure if people know about this BUT. I will share something I got early on in the game.
The mythical bearded axe Scale Carver is quite useful for opening doors that are "barred on the other side." Throwing heavy attacks causes a wave of fire. That fire blast will burn the doors locks. Therefore sometimes easier than finding an alternate route instead.
Wish I could do that but I need visual instruction for glitches like that... but I could still use that info so thanks ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
@@ALPHACODE-WOLF-SPARTAN_03-117 it's not a glitch at all. With that particular axe you use something like 3 heavy attacks and it's a straight wave from whatever direction you are facing of fire. Keep enough distance away from the door make sure axe is equipped in rights hand and use heavy attacks only. There is a runic cool down though. Actually I will try and do this on video. Update soon

I got to lvl 40 so easily after I finished the prologue and traveled to England I unlocked everything sync point and did 4 flyting contests and about 4 raids. Just imagine if I was actually playing the game. Valhalla is way more fun than I expected. Love the storyline and and fighting animations. Hate how sometimes my character goes jumping off a ledge to his deathwhen im simply trying to climb tho🤧
With all the DLC content it really is a gem & a pity the made mirage into a full game instead of a Basim DLC.
I just started playing and the Armour sets look gorgeous. This video was such an amazing help
I really want them to keep the stealth/disguise system in future titles. I feel like it balances out sneaking about as well as “hiding in plain sight” that AC has always had. Just felt I’d share my thoughts on that

Explaining the abilities was really helpful for me. I haven’t played any of the Assassins Creed games before this one so I was a little in the dark on certain things. I had the mark of death already but didn’t really understand how to use it until you showed us here on your video. The game wants to always put the explanation up on screen during battle. Like who can read and fight at the same time ! Thanks for showing use all of this.
If you like this then you gotta go back and experience the ones before origins, especially 1 2 and 3
I love how in access ability you can turn on instant assassinations so you feel like your really playing like an assassin in the old gamea
Tbh there is no point to turning it on given you can just get advanced assassinations.
I think the quick time event is more satisfying, and it's really really easy to do, even for the toughest enemies.
@@martinshoosterman i get thats your preference, and i respect that, but it seems kind of dumb to me in an assassins creed game, that you have to unlock a skill to assassinate stronger enemies, kind of makes stealth a lesser alternative in whats meant to be a series of stealth games

Let's be real, as much as the old AC games are fun, the controls and mechanics are garbage compared to the newer games, just sitting waiting for counters and walking through a crowd to press assassinate just doesn't have the same satisfaction as the new games have

Even female Eivor is awesome. I didnt think she'd bo good after hearing her in the demos, but she actually sounds pretty cool.

You can dual wield heavy weapons without the skill being unlocked, simply tap on light attack (R1) and keep pausing the game while Eivor makes the action and try to dual wield the weapons you want…if it says you can’t, play and pause again quickly before Eivor finishes the action…you’re welcome.

@@ethanking640 I don’t thinks it’s Arcady at all for me it feels very grounded and smooth, some abilities are a wee bit outlandish but I’ve played pretty stealthy when I wasn’t forced into combat immediately.

@@ukgamer9363 Microsoft. they charged me prematurely due to a system error, and I thought that’s that and I’ve paid. Apparently not. They did the actual authorisation last week and it was rejected cause there’s not enough money in that account (I didn’t keep track cause I thought I’ve already paid and I must’ve spent the returned money on groceries or something). I wasn’t notified that the payment failed and was only told when I called Microsoft yesterday to check on shipping update. Sad cause I took a day off for launch day.

if you want to play it early on pc use a vpn and change it to australia login and play it after the game releases just exit disable vpn and its done

To be honest it's a slap in the face that in a vikings setting the valkyrie set is a fucking 5 Dollar "add on" instead of being integrated in a questline or something.
I really like the game but this just makes me angry.
Well that kind of goes for all the helix sets as the draugr where basicly zombie Vikings who are basicly trapped because they didn't go valhalla or hel.
And naturally the berserker set, I mean what's more Viking.
I'm more annoyed I still haven't got my pre-order mission (way of the berserker) like most people.
You can actually earn all of those sets simply by doing Contracts for Reda (the opal merchant) so you don't have to spend any real world money at all. Just have to check his stock regularly
@@lancedoty4733 true. But 7bisoft are smart and won't give let's say the Helmet on one of the sets and then let you have another piece the following reset.
They're losing money that way.
Apparently the shop resets daily but mine hasn't chang3d since release (draugr house, gold shield, tattoos)
So could be different to the old daily shop (or mines bugged, no surprise the game is full of bugs)

The intention with my comment wasn't to be like "oh you can only get it if you pay".
I know the Opal merchant. But if you think about it: the game has many bugs. While I had luck, many others can't even leave Norway because of the gamebreaking Valkabug. The game isn't in the shape as it should be! But of course there are already plenty of Opportunities to sink real money. And although Ubisoft does this for a longer time now, it doesn't mean that it's okay and we should just accept it. There are many Publishers that don't need those shopfeatures. And to have sets like Draugr or Valkyrie, that are essential in the North Mythology, not in the game as Questrewards, but for real money, that is just greedy. And again. I like this game more than Odyssey. But it just repeats itself. Ubisoft doesn't really invent their games anymore. Even voice actors and music are straight out of origins and Odyssey. Game play is basically the same. The game is a bugfiesta. It's a little offensive but they get through because enough people just buy everything

I was one of the poor sods who has all the bugs including the valka (had to delta the game of hard drive and reinstall) now my major bug is legendary animal trophies not showing in the long house.
I'm not defending micro-transactions I personally hate them.
But as you said they do offer you the free way so it's not bad deal.
I'm 31 I remember walking into a game store and looking at the back of a game case and that's what you got.... no micro-transactions you're DLC was basicly just hidden areas (Only it was already in the game so it's not dlc)
Sadly gaming isn't what I remember it to be anymore this is what the kids want and the money flow show this to be true otherwise micro-transactions would be dead.
Games today are mostly bland and rehashed (as you say valhalla is just odessy) or polished turds (remakes)
I don't mind paying something extra but more than £20 to keep a game fresh and interesting anything more I may aswell buy a new game.

I’m still playing this game today. Three achievements left. I gotta say sneaking around maps and grabbing dual spears is probably the most broken thing early on.

I dont know if i get the upgrade later as I progress in the game , but, in valhalla i cant highlight enemies before infiltrating. Instead you press down on the left analog stick ( xbox one) and it highlights that way. Its not bad but i really hope i can upgrade it. I got used to odysseys raven , i enjoy that much more. Overall though its awesome
I dont play many open world games, but when I do you are a life saver man!!!

I got the harpoon throw ability when I wasn’t looking for it and I was pretty excited when I seen it
When using the harpoon can you control what direction you can throw the enemy?
