I sold my daughters sv650, the guy collected it in a fiat doblo. He had removed the front seat and 2/3 of the rear seat and fabricated a wheel channel and ramp. Fitted in perfectly. His wife sat in the seat behind the driver

I picked up my new Honda CT125 in my Citroen Berlingo Multispace old version.
I fitted a van front passenger seat that folds flat and flips forward creating tons more space.

Came to recommend the fiat.doblo from the 2000s it was a ugly looking car but plenty o room. I carried my fzr 600 and a friend's r6 (different days) but the space was amazing. Also the 1.9 diesel was bulletproof and unpretentious maintenance made me own 2 in my late 20s. Also a good car for night sleepover

That's quite the, uh, method of attaching your ramp. Lmao
It's pretty impressive you managed to fit the bike in there. Where there's a will, there's a way.

I have a tip when you want to deal with the rusted tank by yourself. The tank from my Xj600 was completely rusted as well (parked in the garage for 15 years before I bought it). Forget all the expensive rust cleaners that are in the market that are wayyy over priced. Simple but very effective trick: just use cleaning vinegar, very cheap and effective as hell. Poor it in and let it sit for 12-24h. Poor it out, clean with water hose and u might have to repeat it. I did this twice and my tank was super clean after. I did buy a tanksealer product after the process the make sure the rust won't come back. The most important part in this process is after you poor our the vinegar and cleaned it with the water hose is that u have to dry it very fast otherwise a thing called flying rust will appear. And this happens really fast. Within 20-30minutes a small layer of flying rust will be back again. So after ur happy with the result, use a hairdryer to dry the inside of the tank fast and properly. Make sure the part where normally ur fuelpump is connected is properly taped or covered to the vinegar doesn't leak. Happened to me the first time I only uses duck tape and thought I taped it properly but the next day probably half a tank of vinegar was on my garagefloor😅 if u have questions, feel free to ask! Cheap but effective :D

In the 1980´s my Honda CB 750 caught fire just across the border in Germany. I hid it in the bushes, hitchiked back to the Dutch west coast, organised a friend with a Renault 4, left in only the driver seat and managed to transport it back to my home. It was a lot simpler those days. A couple of bolts, no electrics.

If you have a friend to help put the bike in the back, get them to lift the ramp when the bike is halfway in, and it will be far easier to push in the last 60 cms.
Used to do that with our race bikes

I'm a mechanic at a modern car dealership. To get your mind safe, disconnecting the battery for about 30seconds is enough for the older cars to safely remove or unplug an airbag. In modern cars I sometimes even keep it connected since they have so many extra safety checks.
I have a peugeot 106 which i work on myself and that seat connector is no danger to explode the airbags when unplugged.
Nice video man! hope to do this later aswell with a new purchase

Wow well done, that fitted better than my Peugeot Partner Tepee Outdoor, my Lifan LF200GY2 , I used disability ramps but had to remove headlight and screen, front mudguard, and mirrors and drop the bars after loosening the front brake so the the master cylinder stays level incase you touch the brake and pull in some air. Both front seat stayed in with passenger seat pushed forward a bit or I can put the front wheel between the front seats.

Very wholesome video. Thanks for that. 👍
Looking at this makes me believe you are also very much the type for a sidebike. You could even use the Diversion for that. And the passenger seat as wel. 🤓
Pro-tip, having a sidecar 'boat' and seat replacable by a bike rail and ramp, makes it a great option for the N+1 action you are starting here. 😇
Good luck with the project! Greetings from the Netherlands.

I used to work as a car mechanic and hearing what he said about the nuts on the left and right sides of the seat is of no surprise to me. I hated it when I had to work on French cars, stupid things like changing gear on them is the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced in a car.

  • @TheSpectre223

Good effort! I also have a Kangoo, an '08 with the same body as yours, minus the tailgate where I have the van-style split doors instead. I rescued my old Honda CG125 with it a few months ago and was able to manage quite well just by removing the rear bench (mine unclips, rather than unbolting) and sliding the passenger seat forward.
I was curious how well the Kangoo would do with a larger bike as I saw a very cool one when I was searching for mine which was wheelchair converted, but the ramp went all the way to the dashboard so the wheelchair becomes the passenger seat. It looked perfect for bike hauling, but sadly it wasn't local, and it was the petrol which is very expensive to tax here in the UK. Mine's the 84hp 1.5 Diesel and it drives pretty well for what it is.

I believe that it was duct tape or some kind of cloth tape you used and not electrical tape. It does not shield off or protects the cable. It did the job keeping the wire away, but do not use it instead of electrical tape on bare wires and such.

When I bought my two wheeler, I couldn't bring it home on road because it was not registered. So I rented an old VW T5 van, for 50 euros, bought a piece of lumber for 5 euros and made a ramp and brought my bike home from 250km. Well I paid the diesel obviously, but overall, it was easier than modifying a car. Anyway, my car is too small to fit a motorcycle in it. And one more thing: It was first time I drove a van, and as it is in good order, it end up being an interesting and pleasant trip. Since then I am thinking if it wouldn't be fun to buy a used T5 van and turn it into a basic camper.

I’ ve only detached the rear seat ( is it possible to remove it whitout to unbolt anything, there is a mechanism hidden next to the bracket that you unbolt) leaving the front passenger in place. I put the motorbike in a diagonal way! with front wheel behind the passenger seat and the rear wheel in line with driver seat. I’have only bend and slide forward the front passenger seat.
