- The main reason we bought our CF Moto UForce 1000 was to help plow our driveway in the winter. In addition to using our snowblower, a way to more easily keep up with lighter snow loads on our tricky driveway was important. So we are reviewing the CF Moto snowplow we plan to use with our machine and check out the good and the bad.

Try tightening the adjustment for the springs so they don't allow the blade to tilt ahead as easily might help prevent the blade from floating over the snow banks. You could add an actuator to change the blade angle from inside so you wouldn't have to get out to change it. Maybe I am just spoiled because my tractor has hydrophilic cylinders to lift and angle the blade but unfortunately it doesn't have a cab.
Done. it did help quite a bit. it's a game changer having a cab for sure.

We live near Mt Evans at 9200' and we bought a Kioti tractor with an enclosed cab with heat and music! All the cozy comforts plus a bucket, a snow pusher and a grapple....planning on more implements :)

Glad to see the snow plow working out for you. A couple of observations. #1. You might try adjusting the springs that let the blade move back when hitting an obstruction. A little bit more pressure to have the blade not move as easily might help. #2. Some weight on the blade might help make gravity stronger so the blade doesn't ride over the drift might help. Just a wild idea here - you might put a seat on the blade and have Amy "ride the blade". And as long as she would be out in front, she could change the angle of the blade and save Bryan from the temperature swings from getting out of the cab and back in. 😇

hahahha! We did end up adjusting the springs a bit and it made a difference. I think if he slows down a bit, he could avoid "hopping the drift" but then again, it's hard not to drive fast LOL
When you take washers out to adjust the plow shoes, you put them on top, washers stay with the shoes also you need at least one washer under the pin. This also stops the shoe from hitting the ground when you lift up the plow.

AMY & BRYAN, I'm glad you find your 4 wheeler a good investment, but from my humble opinion I stopped buying things made in China long time ago. Although it's still very hard to avoid Chinese goods here in the USA. Best wishes on your 4 wheeler plow.
As things stand right now, we will probably have nothing Made In America, as more and more cheap Chinese goods flood our country. That includes our pharmacology, and such. Soon, we will be fully dependent on China for everything. But it's our fault for letting it happen.
Understandable. It's hard to pass on such a high cost savings though, especially when others are so enthusiastic about the product.

It's funny you show the tracks my neighbor just showed up yesterday with his new Polaris Commander 1000 enclosed cab heater all the good stuff with tracks and we went bombing through the meadow by my house it was fun climbing up the mountains those tracks are really good.

Guys it's like the season of giving or christmas morning with all the box openings, i was thinking like okay there gonna put something heavy in the bed of the CF-Moto maybe rocks or gravel but tracks! gonna be cool. Thanks for Sharing.

I've got a pretty much identical setup. Uforce 1000 with a cab (mine has a heater and windshield wiper) and a 72 inch KFI poly plow. I have a pretty steep driveway and it handles up to about 2 feet with no problem. I put chains on the rear tires and have had no issues with traction other than when I returned from vacation to 4 feet of snow. I had to have a neighbor with a skid steer clear it out.

Morning! Tough situation you have there. I’d suggest a wider skid shoe and an edge guard if your picking up to much gravel. But as you said when you hit the drifts this might lift the blade easier? I’d try a larger skid shoe and plow more often. Might save your gravel. I show a version of these larger shoes I made on my channel. Thanks for sharing, Mike.
Interesting. Someone else also had an idea about adding PVC pip to the edge of the plow to keep from scraping gravel. Thanks!

I might suggest a 2" pvc conduit to put on the bottom of the blade. I think I have some videos of this. Cut the conduit end to end on one side so it looks like a clam shell remove the feet on the plowthen take a large hammer and knock the pvc onto the bottom of the plow blade, lots of videos of this, it helps the plow float to not push the gravel with the cutting edge yet still pushes the snow and stays in place, used this on my 4 wheeler for years

I'm probably wrong, but it looks like at around 4:32, the top of the blade moves forward due to the springs not holding it back enough. I realize that's a generally a safety factor to protect the equipment, but maybe they aren't heavy-duty enough to keep the blade more perpendicular to the driveway. I hope the tracs do the job for you.

Stumbled upon your channel, thought I’d check it out. Personally if I lived at 9k feet, I would more than likely put a snowplow on my pickup truck cause I would be able to move so much more snow than that Utv could ever push. It weighs a heckuva lot more and will get better traction. Also you don’t need to go outside to change the angle of the plow. In my opinion and experience. But good luck!
That's cool. Bryan commutes to work in his truck, so he doesn't want to additionally leave a plow on it. We got the tractor for big jobs- massive snowblower :)

Careful with those tracks. I don't know a whole lot about the CF-Moto, but ATVs fail under heavy use with tracks. Lots and lots of force to drive those tracks, causing belts, gears, shafts, u-joints, etc to be the weakest link. Just be aware, and don't overpower or force a situation and you should get good use out of them.

Its possible the CV drive belt needs some breaking in time, with low loads. I have a cfmoto 800XC 4 wheeler, and that is one of the largest issues that creep up in the first 100 hrs if people aren't aware. just an fyi
Thanks for the reminder- we're not letting out the full throttle just yet. But will be careful on the workload for awhile.
The most important things to remember with all cfmotos to keep your vehicle in LOW range if your average speed is under 15mph and ALWAYS when plowing. It will be the difference between your belt lasting 100s of miles and thousands of miles. I've been selling cfmotos for years and I would love to answer any questions you may have about the brand or functionality of the machine

The problem with a plow, especially on a UTV/ATV, the plow is light weight and there is no real weight behind it pushing. Couple that with needing to push each snow back as they accumulate, you'll run out of space and snow moving ability. I've plowed snow for years with a school district using a 3/4 ton pickup and that even had problems with heavier snow. That's when I got into the Bobcat and was able to scoop and dump. Heavy snows will be just like drifts, only worse. You really need a snow blower...
Good points. We do have a massive snow blower- on our tractor!! This is more for the smaller jobs and maintenance between big storms.

also some weight on that plow blade would help , sand bag or better yet have Amy stand on it 🤣 just kidding . weight on the front puts traction to the tires . my plow has hyd. down presser if i want it big difference .
