I got a 23 XL and agree with the ground clearance. I turned the shocks all the way up and ordered 30" tires. I also ripped up my skid plate and only have 14 miles on it!
Haven't noticed the starting issues, but I've always let any fuel injection pump stop before starting.
Thanks for sharing!
I have a 22 and scraped and hit every protruding rock.
Got some Hester Edition Elka shocks and love them. They’re a little pricey but smoother ride and 3” of ground clearance is what excites me the most!
I don’t rub anymore
Wow that’s awesome 3inches! I will check them out! Thank you for your input!
@SHANE_B22 Brother Hester Elka shocks are the best upgrade you can do. I have stage 1 shocks on my 1000 overland. Also, you can send your ecu to main street cycles for their tune with their cat delete headers. It will be a different machine completely. Trust me. Infantry leads the way!
Getting it into Park is horrible. I just use Neutral and the Ebrake. Hood is not very easy to remove. 2 grease zerks on each rear wheel pretty hard to get to plus 1 under the front seats (you have to remove the front seats to access but next time i grease it I will line up a pinhole directly under it and drill out the skid plate directly under it so I can access it from undeneath).
I have a 2023 cfmoto zforce 800 trail g2. I love it and it was cheaper than my dream sis which is CanAm commander 1000. I am a devoted CanAm person but couldn't fit $25000 into my budget. I was online looking for sxs that wasn't like all the Polaris Rangers in my area. Bought this brand new this February 2024 for $12000. I did like they had a 1 year warranty which others brands have 6 month or less. After buying this unit I was like I wonder if they have a wider unit because the trail is 50 inches. Come to find out they have a 64 inch wide 950 sport. Now I want it. This 800 I have reached speeds of 85moh. Scared the heck out of me on gravel at 70mph, but highway it was 85mph, and was smooth. I have to agree with you that the plastic skid plate needs to be thicker or aluminum from factory. I live on gravel and when going over 30mph rocks hit bottom and makes thinks a rocks will shatter the plate or go through as if it is a bullet. My model had no parking break and when I put in park it would roll. I contacted the dealership and they contacted cfmoto and they sent a whole kit to put parking break on for me. The was new bugger calipers, bigger break pads, bigger rotor, the parking break, new brake fluid lines and the lever. It took them 6 hours to install and I was the dealerships first time & person/buyer to get this kit. So yes I am happy with my unit and now after is paid for in 2½ years I will go bigger and hopefully they with have the 1500cc units out.
Wow fantastic input!! Thank you!
Same here on my 22 I wait till the screen turns on completely before start
Thanks for sharing!
I thought you might mention the turning radius. From what I read the turning radius on it is more than twice comparable models in the same class,
Thanks for your input! Turning radius actually has not been an issue and I do ride in tight trails. Really it’s just the ground clearance.
When it comes to the fuel injection needing to pressure up before starting that's a non issue, my polaris units were the same way.
Thank you for your feedback!
Put a lift and bigger tires on for bottoming issues. The CFMoto needs a bigger wider tire in my opinion, I have a can-am defender crew, 3in lift 32in tires no clearance issues
Thank you for your feedback!
No problem, that not a CFMoto problem, that’s any crew, gotta get a little lift and height on them, which don’t exactly help with the top heaviness but there is a happy medium
One the waiting for the fuel pump to rev up. You're showing your age (young). That _used_ to be the given for fuel injection motors when they first came out. You trained yourself to wait for it to spin up and stop.
I have been a powersports mechanic since 2009 I graduated from Universal technical institute motorcycle mechanics program and have been a mechanic ever since. I know what I’m talking about thanks.
Uforce 1000 xl 2023 and the hard start is still happening with these units 400km and it happens 4 out of 10 starts ;).....
I have a 23 1000xl doesn't like to start, shifter is 💩wishing I would have bought the can am
I would also add that the brakes sqweek from brand new..
YES! mine does that also. Thanks for your input!
I have to take mine to the self serve and use the tire cleaner. It will stop the noise for about y 20 mile lol. Very annoying
I have a 2024 uforce 1000xl same starting problem.
Thanks for the input!
I have a 24 it still doesn't it is not just does CF moto I had a big horn that you had to let it prime before you started it
Thank you for your feedback!
I've got a 600 Uforce. The shift linkage is shit. It's noisy and vibrates in the cab. Outside is quiet. Those are the only things that are disappointing. Lots of machine for the money. Goes where I steer it.
Anybody hear a clunk in H gear in normal after you start moving from a stop? Not mechanical so thats the best description I can give. The dealership said it was normal and said it was a tensioner releasing
Yeah mine does it occasionally, thank you for sharing!
Yes on 2 occasions with my '21 Force 1000, once in high range and once in low range, it sounded like having nuts and bolts in your kitchen Oster blender. I have never figured out what it was. I instinctively let off the gas and re-applied the gas and it went away, but it sounds like damage of some sort, not sure if clutch or in the transmission, but it's loud and awful.
