Nice job I bought one a while back, just starting to use is it.Needed to see it real world.thanks P.S.I also rarley use ohms to diagnose electrical.

See my comment on the main thread, you have a bit to learn so you can see ohms is critical to inderstand

It's not that the tool was "lying" by its reading with the motor not running. The resistance reading was accurate. Once the motor starts running and spinning, resistance increases. Counter electromotive force

What he said, the point is if the motor has a bad coil the resistance would jump up and the Amps would be much higher, so if you're testing on a 10 Amp fused system and it's blowing the Fuse* you know right away the motor is at fault, other good thing is you have line check with it and even plug a Load Pro into the end of it also to measure voltage drop, I honestly diagnose Canbus systems allday using this and a Pico, I've 100% repair rate at BMW motorcycles it's a great great tool for automotive, I wouldn't use it as an Engineer however.. I used prefer Fluke for that job :) over all it's a great little probe, Esp because you can set the Amp cut off for testing when fuses are blowing, If you test a 5Amp system and it doesn't cut off at 7.5Amps you know it's a dodgy component, if it's still blowing at 15 Amps it's more fair to say look for a short to ground etc, it's all about just speeding you up which is nice. Good video btw I enjoyed it. But like you say Ohm's is for Line checks mainly but to check load on a circuit for voltage drop and higher amps :)

Most stuff like motors will have a spike start?

Wuuuut!? All you are seeing is your delusional understanding of electrical dynamics... resistance is in no way futile... please review the scenarios of under (and no) load
