Great video. I have sadly learnt my lesson. I did not experience your issues but what I did find is quality build issues. The first problem was the probe would not output 12V to a bulb to light it. It instead it showed all sorts of odd readings on the display. With testing and checking I decided to open the unit up to see the PCB board. A short had occurred between the output probe (12v) and the PCB board. The relay testing circuit was also very loose which meant that would not work. I asked a friend who is in the PCB manufacturing to have a look and he reported that it was a very poor quality design. This was the Jdiag p200 unit sold as TopDiag P200. The Jdiag P100, which I also owned, has also got PCB design problems as well. My advice is stay well clear of these items as they are poor quality and unreliable.

Hello Dallas Auto Diag. Thank you for your videos. I too bought the same diag tool because of the price. While I'm not a pro, I (try) do my own diag and repairs. I returned it because of the extended circuit breaker time as noted by Super Mario Diagnostics. I really liked the oscilloscope feature so one doesn't need to haul out the full scope and all the cables required. Anyway I noticed you were using the regular bnc lead on the Sigma Probe. Pico Scope uses a specific high impedance cable/bnc probe (TA499) for tapping into Flex Ray and CAN Bus systems that is high impedance so as not to bring the system down. The TA499 is a BNC+ probe, though they have a regular bnc type probe as well. Do you think that is what should be used in your case? Maybe what brought the system down was using non high impedance probes, or maybe just because your are attaching both scopes/probes/regular cables simultaneously? Just a thought. Thanks again for your videos as it definitely helps out DYI's like me everywhere!

Actually I thought of the 2 possibilities that you have mentioned and Im not sure if you have noticed at the end of the video I remove my lead and use their included tip and it gave me same results. Power Probe came out with a good breakout box a few years ago. Joe's Auto Electric has a video demonstrating it. th-cam.com/video/2ngG1Eglgnk/w-d-xo.html Just found this short demonstration. It appears that it has been out for at three years, designed in the UK & sold by Power Probe & branded Blue Point on the Snappy trucks & possibly branded in the Matco catalogue. The magnetic pins/ probes were UK as well but may be available here now as well. th-cam.com/video/_2c9LNX617k/w-d-xo.html
You might find a use for this tool. It is powered by a rechargeable battery or 3 AAA . It can decode the can bus or display wave form one at a time. The input impedance is 3 Megohms so it shouldn't load the circuit too much. th-cam.com/video/UALTOECcjkI/w-d-xo.html They are not giving me anything to recommend it. I think it is useful even if you have a Pico scope.

My Power Probe 4 broke the cable right at the plug, where the clips attach. I soldered in a cigarett lighter plug and used a power adapter for the battery. Now I can use it inside the car and outside the car. I couldn't get PP to fix it and PP wouldn't sell me a new cable. It works again!
I had a PP3 did the same exact thing. Then had the maestro which started going 3v off. PP sent me a new one. Now the new one is doing the same exact thing that you mentioned. Lucky I got one more month for the warranty.
I want to buy a bt280 autools i hope they saw your video and fix the problem did they fix the problems am asking
Not that I know of
@@DallasAutoDiag ok kool if u get any update let we know keep on work my friend
Power probe is the only one to buy on top of a pico and a lap top
Agree
im glad i didnt buy it for the oscilloscope (had a feeling it is crap). I just want to use mainly for supplying power and ground and relay test. thanks for the video. will stay away from oscilloscope.
what is about BT280 ?
Can you post the link for the product here?
Awesome, thanks.
No problem
Yours was bad. Like racing a horse with broken leg, painful to watch. I bought TopDiag about a year ago and the features work, but there is no warm feeling of holding a fluke when you pick it up. I don't know what they claim the bandwidth of their scope is, but CAN FD is up to 5mbits. They have very little published specs. Thanks for showing how bad these can be, but you at a higher level that diyers.
I didn't know that topdon has a similar device.
What model autel are you using to use the scope, and what ad on is that for the scope feature
its the ms919. if you are buying it for the scope feature then I would advice you not to because you will not be able to use this scope with the laptop software. my advice to buy a ms909 and buy autel MP408 independent scope
Item needs 12v... run a boggo wire from battery + with a pokey bit soldered onto the end.. poke item.. voila - 12v.. Item needs 5V.. buy a cheap variable power supply.. set it to 5v.. poke item.. Item needs a good ground... run wire from battery - & solder a pokey bit onto the end - voila, ground probe... For everything else, buy a really posh multimeter - I like Fluke. Also buy a test lamp with a bulb. They're handy.
There's no end to buying tools - usually you're the most crucial tool - the better you sharpen yourself, the less crappy tools you need buy. Sharpen yourself - it's free.
Maybe
Where did you got you can do obd2 aid box? I’ll apréciate tour response and thank you for the presentation
i bought from amazon
Them Kia Boyz got a hold of that car. I bet they didn't know how to remove IMMO and just started breaking stuff until the car started or they knew a specific way. I feel like this came out before the wave of thefts.
im sure Kia boys founout from family members vehicles first before it turned to bad situation
Thank you
que se le puede creer a alguien que usa como escaner un euclelia en ves de usar autel o launch

Hello, great video, and you saved me $170. I noticed your scope is an Autel, can you tell me which model?
This is the Autel maxisys ms919. Im gonna have a video soon about it. Not good so far.
@@DallasAutoDiag Ok, thank you! let me know which bi-directional diagnostic tool you've had good luck with, other than Snap-on. I will be in the market for one soon.
Uscope Alternative Miniware DS203
What probe DO i get? I need a good one asap and dont mind spending a bit more for one thats reliable and may have more features... im thinking the ones with the oscilloscopes are barely functional
After this video I bought the power probe maestro. It doesn't have scope but i think it's the best now out there.
@@DallasAutoDiag yes i think a dedicated scope would be much more useable
@@plowmaster1206 thats what im gonna do.
@@DallasAutoDiag Have you tried the hook or the 4? I was looking at the Maestro... Then I saw the Hook. It's starting to look like I will be buying a couple and trying them out.
Hey buddy whats the best obd break out box ?
If you just want something to use on the car then all works depend on how much u wanna spend. I use the CanDo. I also have the GoDiag bob because It allows me to power modules on the bench. Im gonna make a video soon on those with good information.
@@DallasAutoDiag 🙏 thank you brother, what else do you have tools to save time on doagnostics and accuracy. If you can guide me with good info plz. One more thing about the obd break out box I was looking at one with l.e.d light little flash light on the conertor for obd 2 port

Power Probe came out with a good breakout box a few years ago.
Joe's Auto Electric has a video demonstrating it.
th-cam.com/video/2ngG1Eglgnk/w-d-xo.html
Just found this short demonstration. It appears that it has been out for at three years, designed in the UK & sold by Power Probe & branded Blue Point on the Snappy trucks & possibly branded in the Matco catalogue.
The magnetic pins/ probes were UK as well but may be available here now as well.

sorry no spanish
thank you man
You're welcome!

I got one recently on eBay. I used it once, I don’t like it, too big can’t go in thigh places. Try to return it but return window is closed. I am selling if someone interested 😂.
Wrong place to sell 😆

Not really. Watch the video
Hi i brought one of those probes I am not overly happy with is as the tool will provide power to the tip I set a email to sigmaprobe about a month ago but still not had a reply so thay after service is not good
Return it and get the power probe maestro

@@DallasAutoDiag hi dose the power probe meastro have a scope feacher
@@johnthake7401 man i wish it deos. Altbough sometimes i use the graf part of the ac voltage to view can activity. Not a prety signal but its something.
The reason you guys are having issues with sigmaprobe is because you are not buying actual sigmaprobe brand diagnostic tools you are buying cheap knockoffs if you want to enjoy the true benefit of having the ultimate diagnostic tool buy directly from there website plus it comes with a one year warranty
this is funny. did you see how I bought from their main store on amazon?
Nice toy I might pick one up
I think you missed the point
for this price you can get a real 100% osciloscope.that you now.

@@DallasAutoDiag Witz new Update it Shows now Power as need.
@@waldemarfechtel1644 which update?
@@DallasAutoDiag you can make Firmware Update in this Tools
@@waldemarfechtel1644 I don't think its a firmware issue. Its a hardware problem.
Bro who has an hour for you to tell us why not to buy a hundred dollar tool. Come on man shortened it up get to the point why is it trash
It's not the money you spend on it. It's the effect it does on cars. Don't watch this video. Just buy and use the tool :)
It’s 2 different company name and different price u should compare the original and give us the result don’t test the after market one and tell us the original not good it’s not fear
Well, that just tells me that you did not watch the whole video.
Didnt you pay attention?
Thanks, I will put the cash I saved into a power probe as I first intended.
Problematic is unreliable and for test equipment it just cannot be.
Great point!
