Physics 101: Newtons 3rd law- For every action there's an equal and opposite reaction.... whatever force you put into that torque wrench also comes out the other side regardless of a twisting extension...I've seen many very good mechanics that are confused about this... thanks for the demonstration!
I always knew this was true, but when I explain it to someone else they don't believe me. Thanks for the demonstration! I think they confuse this with torque because reduced with an impact gun. Torque is reduced with an impact wrench. But that is because an impact uses a hammer or hammers. The extensions twist back in between each impact.
Maybe I'm wrong, but i thought the purpose of this video was to show extensions do not affect toque, which in degrees i think it would. Either way it's a good video, i always thought using extensions would change the torque value.
Aaron Bieber who cares, the degrees is predicated on the fastener head anyway. Mark it and turn to the position needed. When the head is in the correct position, you are done👍

Excellent

Aaron Bieber it is indeed, but torque measuring fundamentally different than degree measuring. You wouldn’t logically mix the concepts.
What about degrees? Example torque 50ftlbs plus 90 degrees. Can you prove using an extension won't effect degrees?
