I'm ecstatic! Move and hold cyclic position?! That's a complete game changer. And exactly how it behaves in real life - for a very good reason. This is especially great for VR flyers like me, who can finally take their right hand off the stick and use their mouse to click around for extended periods of time, not having to use an frustrating clunky trim. FB effects? I'm sure they'll come. Thanks for sharing.
I'm on day 2 with this base. My old stick is a 22" gooseneck with 4 adjustable hydraulic dampers on it. It stays where it's put. I have 13 days to drive this base back to Microcenter. I'll give it a few more days maybe. I think the excitement people have been showing for this stick is for 2 reasons. 1- they have been a slave to a spring to center stick and 2- they don't have a buttkicker.
Thanks for the video. Hope to have my Moza base in a few days. I am seeing force trim working in your video and that's the reason I am purchasing the base. Not seeing much MSFS content related to the AB9 base I believe support has been recently added?
In Moza I selected the Bell 407 preset from msfs and then changed it to integrated ffb and tweaked some settings as Moza themselves suggested . In DCS in the Apache you hold anybof the trim buttons and then move the stick, when you release either should stay in about the same position
what are your settings? my base doesn't operate like yours. the stick eithers falls forward constantly or the trimmer pulls the stick up and doesn't stay where i trim it.
Same since last update, I currently just adjust the spring setting manually but you can try joining the Moza discord and following their troubleshooting steps
@@dcs_one Moza have stolen/copied the VPForce feedback software for the Rhino in an effort to get their own AB9 hardware working properly!!!! The VPForce TelemFFB software is open source and VPForce now have evidence that Moza have copied/used their software !! While it is open source Moza need to credit the use of it and also make their own software open source this is part of the limited copyright requirements of open source software. The fact that Moza have had to resort to copying a competitors software that has been in constant development for nearly 3 years now to get their own kit up and running and are failing to own up to it despite blatant solid evidence that they have switched to and are now using the VPForce software without crediting VPForce and making their own software open source as part of the requirements of using it is disgraceful behaviour from such a high end company. The VSL options and other effects are VPForce Rhino telemFFB effects and the reason they aren't working is that Moza haven't quite worked out how to transfer all the VPForce software to work with their own kit
Some effects are there. I think moza did not implement helicopter effects quite right. The trim is really jumpy for me Nd does not stay. Really hard to describe it just jumps a bit and makes the trim useless. The efl and ring vortex also have strange descriptions in the software and only use %. Everything is set to 50% and I had major movement in the stick, so much that things started falling of my desk.
I am starting to think that I had some conflicting scripts, like SRS, that didn't let them work because after reinstalling DCS on a new SSD it all works amazing
If you are willing to wait for updates and realise that you are going to be a tester before it is complete, then it might not be a waste of money for someone.
You are worrying too much about trim! Just set it to where you can maintain stable flight and the speed that you want. Make sure you are boresighted, and then just fly, put the weapons systems in the constraints and engage! That’s all you need to do.
If you have to be told what forced feedback is when you have 1 its clearly not working as intended. The whole point is to help your brain think what your doing is real it should be intuitive it should complement everything eles that's happening sounds sight to the point it just feels like what you expect it to . What you have is a ps 2 rumble pack that holds its center where you put it nothing more . .then a expensive gimmick

Do you know how trim works in a helicopter? Exactly as you described 🙂 so what is wrong?
I know now, I got corrected in the previous video. So nothing is wrong I was just a bit of a dumb, dumb

Yes, Moza has added some presets already for easier use. Wish I could test it in MSFS too
Test again, effects are in. Most likely you shot this video too early to get the update. Nevertheless, good video! Cheers
I updated right before recording but still couldn’t seem to get it to work. I will try again. Glad you enjoyed it!
I would love too see more of the viper test with that, can you do that ?
That is coming next

DCS_ONE, which settings do you have in the Moza App, also DCS to get the Cyclic to stay in position after adding trim?

Some hovering would be nice to see..
What about some MSFS helicopter?
I am not that experianced :D
I wish I could give you a MSFS test but I do not own it unfortunately
Is the Moza AB9 released yet or is it still Pre-Order Only?
The base and I am pretty sure the mounts are released
Ah, I ordered mine August 16th. Still awaiting.
It’s all about the software….which is why the Rhino rocks
It is also more expensive. Mozas software will come around
Lol you don't know Moza, they will update this thing fast.

@@dq9275 well at least the effects are noticeable and functional
Cool thank you for letting me know! I will try deleting some scripts!

Yes. Although those sponsored tubers will not admit that .. including the worst offender HIP games

The trim in a helicopter works exactly as he described. The controls are hydrolic so it won't have any force feedback beyond the trim.
@@dcs_onethanks for your honesty

Turns out that there probably was some conflicting software because after reinstalling DCS on a new SSD, the FFB feels very immersive.
