Put it on your schedule ... That's the only way I remember things anymore but got into the habit back in the Plumbing Contractor days ... Hope those cattle prices come up for you.
I bought my first 2 over 10 years ago. In real hot weather you have to be a little more careful due to the pipes getting a little soft, I’ve not broke any of my rings. I’m currently using 12 rings and can’t tell which ones are the oldest. Some of my herd bulls have tested them. From time to time some of the bolts must be retightened. They cost more up front but they last !
Thanks for the fall colors! Here in the desert we won't have leaves change and fall for another week or two. We don't have a lot of it though. I have truly missed having Fall.
Hope they work for you. We keep a few long horns and they seem to tare up anything. The busted a few big prolick tanks. I don't know if you interested. But a trick that I used for cheap hayrings. If I saw a trampoline frame that doesn't have the tarp on it. I would ask if they wanted to get reed of it. Even offered to buy some. Most of the time people just was glad to get them out of the yards. They actually work pretty good.
It is absolutely stunning there, what a view! The filming has a sepia tone to it from the level of the sun, it certainly adds to the beauty of the image of those calves in the fields. Was there frost on the ground? I could hear a crunching underfoot, but not sure if it was just dry or frosty. Great that the calves have been successfully weaned, a wonderful sight those animals in the field. Thanks for sharing Howie and God Bless!

They have held up very well. I just bought 3 more. If they do break, they have a repair kit. My feed store COOP said they would supply kit for free if they ever break. The metals ones kept bending and breaking, the plastic seem to be better, although I had my doubts, but a friend who works for the COOP talked me into it. So far so good. God Bless
How did it hold up because they are close to $400 at my local store. It’s as much as a galvanized cradle feeder. Hard to go with plastic for the same price.
I bought one for $20 at a recycling center, it had 3 broken risers. Bought 3 3" couplings, 3" pvc pipe and 6 bolts with nuts. Works great.
When I use to drive a truck I picked those feeders up in shidler OK for MFA in missouri. Neat to see. The owner of the feeder is a really nice guy.

Thanks, It is nice colors this year, but not as nice as it has been in past years.
We bought 3 hay rings just like them 3 years ago and they have held up really well. We will not be using the metal hay rings again.

I have two and really like them. Only problem my bull likes to lift it up, then some hay gets wasted.
We haven't had that problem yet. They seem to be holding up really well.

$180 a piece in 2019. Just saw them at my local farm store for $330. I don't buy the 8% inflation figure.

We really like them. They have held up really well, and they are easy, and lighter weight for us to move by hand if we have to.

I’ve used them for over 10 years . They are worth the price. Mine have been tested by my herd bulls many times.
