Delton Jubinville of Sturgeon County Alberta. Delton in partnership with his brother Clayton demonstrate a unique hay feeder that can be used to feed small square bales along with large round and square bales. The unit is especially useful for those feeding horses or cattle if they are unable to feed them hay daily as large amounts can be stored for several days. In addition, the feeder greatly reduces waste as the bale(s) are up off the ground behind a net.

This is truly an amazing product it helps keep a slow long feed and that keeps the hind gut and rest of intestinal tract going well significantly reducing COLIC ❤❤❤❤ #BeKindToAllEquine

The net under tension really helps reduce waste. It also slows down feeding rate and reduces consumption. Very important for my horses who will eat double what they need if fed free choice, or eat the whole days ration in 2 hours (not good for horses.

Our horses eat with the cows, what you have are hay burners

Not trying to hate on the guy, but wouldnt a "v" shaped feeder with ridgid steel netting be just as effective? The food would naturally push down and you'd just dump hay in the top relying on gravity.

I think this system works better than your "v-shaped" feeders. Specially on sheep, where you want to eliminate feedwaste falling down on their wool, because that would downgrade the wool. As far as for cows, horses and goats, yeah, it might work, but how would you design a "v-shaped" feeder then if you want to feed roundbales or big square ones? You will almost always end up with either stuck bales halfway the feeder or end up with some feeder type that is already available.

Rigid steel netting is bad for a horse's teeth.

I can't see how a cow could get much hay through that small of a square.
