    I did a avocado soap but it made the avocado puree with water and I discounted from the water content. I added the the puree in the trace. It was beautiful! My soap stayed with a light green color

      Yes. Sub the avocado for the water. Just choose a small percentage, to start. Good luck! Thanks for watching ❤️

    Hi Thank you for your wonderful videos. I love to eat avocado and I also use it in hair to condition. Now i'm planning to make avocado soap, do you prepare a 50 50 lye solution and then add the avocado to the to discount the lye solution or just discount the water before adding the lye to the water? I'm not clear about the water part. I'm learning to make soap. Thank you very much for your help.

    • @BelleoftheBath
      @BelleoftheBath  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s not a 50:50, but I do a heavy water discount. I just subbed the avocado for a small percentage of my already discounted water. Usually, I’d suggest subbing avocado for some of the oils, as it’s considered a fat. But this was a small test batch, so it worked out nicely, it just upped my super fat a bit.

    How do you do the water discount? I want to make soaps using avacado, strawberries and blueberries. will this work with any soap recipe I use.

    • @BelleoftheBath
      @BelleoftheBath  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just came up with a number and substituted that amount with avocado. Not sure strawberries or blueberries would be the best option. Strawberries have seeds and may also turn the soap brown. Blueberries have a skin on them that may not blend very well. I’m sure it’s doable with the right equipment, just not sure I’d feel comfortable using those fruits specifically. Do some research and find out what works best for you. Make a small test batch for yourself to see if it works. Good luck!

    hello, if i already do a discount qater of 40% lye... should i keep resting some water from the one is supposed to be mixed with the lye or do you think would be better to add more water, that way i can replace the water without problems with the lye\water mix?
    hope i make sense, sorry for my english ☺️

    • @BelleoftheBath
      @BelleoftheBath  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You replace some of the water with the amount of Avocado that you want to use. In this case, I used 95 grams of Avocado and subtracted 95 grams from the water. It will equal the same weight/content. Does that make sense? Hope this helps! ❤️

    • @julidza087
      @julidza087 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      thank you it does, i am just skeptical because i do a discount of water and do t know if subtracting more water will
      affect the lye solution. May be i should do a 35% lye solution and that way when i subtract the water amount , the lye will not be affected

      You should make sure that you have at least an equal amount of water (in weight) to the weight of the NaOH. That will ensure that the NaOH is completely dissolved. Then you can use whatever amount of avocado you want for your additional liquid.

      @@makeit2649Thank you! That has been my issue trying to understanding that there has to be enough water to desolve the lye. And if I subtract the amount of water by the amount of the avocado, and my water is now under the recommend amount to dissolve the lye will the puree avocado dissolve the lye? Thank you for any clarification you share truly appreciated.

    Hi I don't understand how to measure the lye itself and the water

    • @BelleoftheBath
      @BelleoftheBath  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure I understand your question, so I’ll give a couple answers I feel may be helpful. Lye and water are measured by weight (separately). You pour the lye into the water to create a solution. If you’re asking how I calculated a discount of the water to add in the avocado, I randomly selected an amount to subtract from my water, and used that weight of avocado as replacement. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

    • @makeit2649
      @makeit2649 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You get the correct amount of lye for your specific recipe by putting the whole recipe through a soap calculator. As a beginner, if you are going to use avocado for some of the liquid in the recipe, you should always make sure that you at least an equal amount of water (in weight) to the weight of the NaOH. That will ensure that the NaOH is completely dissolved. Then you can use whatever amount of avocado you want for the rest of the liquid that the recipe calls for.

      @@makeit2649 So lets say my avocado is 5oz and my recipe in total says that i need 50oz of my lye water solution, I would make that total amount off 50 oz but only use 45oz of it? No one really explains this in detail.

    • @BelleoftheBath
      @BelleoftheBath  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on what your water to lye ratio is. You need at least equal amounts of water and lye for the lye to completely dissolve. So, let’s say your recipe has a water to lye ratio of 1.5:1, you can use at least 1:1 water:lye, then add the other .5 of avocado to equal the total weight of your solution. Does that help?

    I've been asking people if they can pray for the paradise to get here. and spread the goodnews. the bible says the women proclaiming the goodnews are a large army. and with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation. if we tell the goodnews we can save both ourselves and those that listen to us. revelation 21: 3,4 say: look the tent of GOD is with mankind, he will be with them and they will be his people's. he will wipe every tear from their eyes. and death will be no more neither will mourning, or out cry or pain be anymore the former things have passed away.
