  • Neuroplasticity (or our brain’s ability to adapt and change) is the best tool we currently have to create progress and maximize stroke recovery. In the same way that you wouldn’t use a toothbrush to brush your hair, understanding how to effectively use this tool makes all the difference.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am for finding this channel. I’m 55 and had a stroke about a year ago. I’ve made significant recovery, but still referred to your channel to continue rebuilding my hand. I’m a musician and my hope is to eventually be able to play again. In the meantime, I’ve started a Vlog and I’m training for a 5K.

Neuroplstisity thank you. I used this principle. I was a drummer. I listen to music and play air drums now with whatever movement I have. With my ear buds in. Moving both hand and feet at the same time gets the right and left brain to communicate, i was told. Im making strides and its been just over 6 months. Thank you for all you do. You have a calming effect.

I am starting to think that learning to walk was easier the first time at least the falling down was, doing today without the Walker just the cane, and a little bit shaky but I am doing it. Coming up on four months since I woke up I the hospital wearing a pink diaper and a hospital gown being told I would never walk again and telling them that I was going to walk out of here Friday and I'm taking your Walker with me, still don't have full use of the left hand yet, but it's getting better than it was can almost play the Bass line of smoke on the water again sounds like a beginner but I am doing it.. I might not be able to play a six string again

OMG your content is so useful. I was lucky I implemented these without knowing. I started with quadriplegia 7 years ago but broke free by attempting to move my right arm for about 2 months.

Dual Track Training is hard work depending on each individual case but very effective for coordination and mental discipline. Use it for my work. Keep up the good work encouraging people to get back on track.

Good video, great info. It's always confidence-building to hear an expert describe ways in which we can help ourselves. As humans, we are pretty amazing and when we learn to unleash some of our potential we can make great strides in recovery.

🌺 Dear, It could be possible that neuroplasticity increase motor control which eventually results in powerful contraction of muscles because brain make a good network with muscles?
