Thank you so much. My iPhone 4 went into recovery mode when I updated from iOS 7 to 7.02 and I had no idea what recovery mode even was. This worked like a charm.
Mine did not work like that. I followed all the steps, but when I clicked on Exit Recovery Mode with RecBoot, it came back to the same connect-iTunes screen and iTunes prompts me to restore... :((

OK GUYS I GOT IT TO WORK. RECBOOT DIDN'T WORK FOR ME SO I FREAKED OUT. TALKED TO APPLE EXPERT AND THEY TOLD ME TO HOLD HOME AND LOCK/POWER BUTTON UNTIL IT TURNS ON. IT WORKED :) HOPE THIS HELPS!

Click "Skip ad" in the top right corner. You have to wait around 15seconds to do that.

OK so I tried jail breaking my iPod 4g since you know its old and I figured I'd give it a try but in the middle of it IT CRASHED now it's in recovery mode. However everytime I do the step people say to do to get it out of recovery mode ( hold down the buttons yadadad) it STILL comes up to that stupid chrager thing with the Itunes logo does anyone know what I'm talking about IF YOU HELP ME I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER thanks :)

I just followed the link in the description of the video. I have a MacBook Pro so I followed the Mac link. If you have a computer running Windows, follow the Windows link, download and unzip the file, open the program and, after plugging your phone into your computer, click the "exit recovery" button. Good luck!

I'm really worried I plugged in my iPhone to the iTunes in my windows laptop and it said that it can't find the Serial number when I extract all my software into it does this mean my iPhone 5s is broken?

Guys im here to tell you that these method actually works!! My phone was stuck on the reboot mode with the itune logo with the cable charger. i downloaded the page RecBoot the one he is talking about and it actually works! So my phone is back to normal since i exit the recovery mode withouth needing to restore it and deleting all my data in my phone. so it WORKS!

Thats why samsung and androids are better but just because it is expensive and look nice is better and thats what happens apple is troublesome

I have the same problem! Each time I hit exit recovery mode, the iPhone restarts, the apple logo barely shows and I get the picture of "connect iPhone to iTunes"... any solutions for that?

I just had an issue and watched your detailed help! Thanks a million. I tried the following first as my phone was stuck in recovery mode with Error 9. It was a hunch to start off with. I was hooked up via USB to Laptop, through iTunes. I had Viber and WhatsApp open on my laptop. Shut down both and changed USB port and it worked! This might help someone! :D

How long is it suppose to take to exit out of Recovery Mode?
Ipod 5, I downloaded recboot + .Net framework and pressed exit recovery mode and the box noted "the device should be in normal mode", but now the device is showing the itunes/usb sign again. My ipod keeps turning on over and over again. Any help please?

Hi! So I didn't back up my iPad air but it suddenly restarted on me today twice, while flashing what looked like = the blue screen of death. However the second time, it threw me into a recovery loop!! I really thought the only way to get out of it was to 'restore' on iTunes so I did it but the loop continued!! Now I have no idea if my iPad has been wiped, is it still possible, if I end up finding a way to end the loop without restoring, that my stuff (notes, app progress, contacts etc.) is still there even though I never backed it up? :( And yes I know that was stupid!!

Hi, I am doing this, but the RecBoot is saying that there are no device connected, then it connects to my iphone saying" unknown mode/ device detected," and then in exactly 3 seconds, while my iphone screen becomes white, the RecBoot says again" no Devices", its been 15 minutes i'm waiting , what is wrong?

I've tried this method, I've tried TinyUmbrella, I've tried iReb. Nothing is working. I click exit recovery mode on each of the programs and my phone is still showing the "connect to itunes" screen. I don't know whatr to do, all I wanted was to update my phone and now this has all happened. Any help?
Wow, it does work. Try extracting it and opening as administrator.

i was looking at the phones recovery mode screen thinking that i should soon do the exit procedure, since it has been charging for 20 min, wanted 30.. and what happens the apple pops up and it boots... didnt touch the thing.. can it exit by itself?

So i was updating to iOS 9 and left my Iphone 6 on the counter to finish. My mother came in a restarted the phone during the update because she thought it was broken. Now when I turn on my phone, it shows a screen similar to this, except the itunes logo is red. If i do manage to get back into the phone, will all data be lost?! Please help!

I was following some bad advice on how to clear up the "other" category on my 4S (still operating in iOS6- did NOT want to update to 7 because of what I am hearing from people) and whatever I did caused my phone to go into recover mode... I was so upset! thank you so much for this video.

I tried upgrading from iOS 8 Beta back to iOS 7.1.2 and it got stuck in the recover loop. iTunes, also in beta, kept crashing as soon as I plugged in the device. RecBoot 2.2 worked like a charm. Thx for the tip!

It doesn't work, when I clicked exiting recovery mode all it did was kept loading and loading and at the bottom it said your device is now exiting recovery mode
