It's impossible for words to describe what's necessary, to those who do not know what horror means. Horror has a face, and you must make an LP of horror. I remember when I was in Gamestop-it seems a thousand centuries ago. I had gone into the store to buy some controllers. I left the store, and my friend ran after me. He was crying, he couldn't see. I went back to the store, and the Zaibatsu had come and LP'd every shitty game-they there were, a pile of shitty games-and that was when I realized that they were stronger than us, because they could stand that. These were not monsters, they were trained TH-camrs, who had friends, who had families, who were filled with love, yet they had the strength to do that. You have to have LP'ers that are moral, yet can utilize their primordial instincts to play without hype, without salt, without judgement. Because it's the judgement that defeats us.
***** Though I just recently started playing Final Fantasy VIII, and the transitions between FMVs and gameplay are actually pretty nicely done. There's some amount of obvious difference, for sure, but the fact it uses prerendered backgrounds for all the levels helps a lot. Sure the characters stand out a bit from it but I mean with the perspectives the game usually uses and all, it's not horrible. Unlike FFVII, where you went from nice FMVs to Lego characters, to normally proportioned people in combat (IIRC they had normal proportions in combat anyway. I didn't play much of VII)
Nicholas Ring I dunno man. FFVII's character models are pretty charming and cute though. It actually makes me wonder if they were made intentionally like that. I used to think they just didn't know how to make 3D models and that's what they ended up with. But imagine coming from cute 2D games like FFI through VI and making your first 3D game, maybe they just tried to emulate that look in 3D rather than going for realism. Even some of the concept art looks like the final 3D models although that doesn't mean much. You're right though, in battles they have normal proportions and are more detailed. FFVIII is way more realistic when it comes to graphics, it's the best-looking FF from that era I think. The prerendered backgrounds are still beautiful to this day. If only they still had the assets, then we could see them in high resolution and they'd be truly timeless. This goes for all Square games from that era. It's been almost 20 years and games still don't manage to look as good. Not because it's not possible, but because most devs nowadays lack the talent, dedication and integrity to make good, beautiful games. It's sickening.
IDK I feel like because of the low resolution, FF8's models just can't be shown off as well. A lot of the detail on some of them just doesn't do so well because of the hardware making it nigh-impossible to see clearly (PS2 era games had a lot of that too - good texturework that you can't really see until you emulate it in 2-3x native resolution). The prerendered backgrounds and all though are still spectacular, though, and I agree if they were uprezzed (correctly, that is - prerendered backgrounds would probably need a redo) it would be really great. I really like FF9's aesthetic more. It had the sorta cartoony style of earlier FF games, the more unrealistic proportions and fantasy aspects, and was generally great. IDK maybe I just need to play more of 8 - I'm working my way through 9 now.
No Matt, Rambo actually doesn't kill anyone in the first Rambo. The only death is of that Cop that tried to push and beat his ass in jail. And he just fell out of a copter when Rambo threw a rock that spooked the pilot.

There is the black doctor who's only in the plot because they metaphorically needed a "transfer student star athelete" for the "games festival". There's Vlotter, who's the loudspeaker operator and the consistently confused guy. Trapper John's the third main character. Oh right, Elliot the Southern guy's the second main character who's not in the show. He gets caught with Hot Lips in the shared tent after Hawkeye and Trapper John return from patching up some general in Japan (a job they only took because the guy was located in a reserve hospital with a country club golf course, and dear God, they wanted to golf) and gets freaking elementary schoolkid shamed by Hawkeye and Trapper John. Plus movie Hawkeye is Donald Sutherland, Hollis Hurlbut from The Simpsons.

He's still just a rather humble guy sending all his revenue to charity (apart from his new Patreon to help out his lack of employment). how do you guys not see how genius this game is? It shows the true story from Rambos perspective. His years experiencing the horror of war and the murder of his squadmate finally caused him to crack. He became schizophrenic and the second cursor represents the voice in his head, He sees police because they represent the hatred he has for US Government for sending him to Vietnam. This leads to the final clue, Why the funeral At the beginning? He never left Vietnam.
