    Been jonesing for a modified H1, but have a 2008 GMC 3500 dually with an aluminum flatbed...your comment about "dream truck" woke me up to the fact that I need to STOP wanting what I don't have, completely overlooking what I do have. Gratitude...appreciate this video. These are great trucks and very customizable...get after it!!

      Hell yea buddy, you got a badass truck already. Duallys are forever trucks, they are hard to find used and cost too much new.

      I bought mine about 3 years ago too. Glad I did, the price for a good LMM is out of control now. Just hit 200k, she is still like new and pulls anything I put behind it. Plenty of life left, and so many more parts on my wish list.

    Where you get the black lettering or colored. The air hose filter thing has a low spot for water to not go in

    You Need to go to efi live tuning. Huge difference

    What kind of milage do you have, and do you tow often? I ask because I have an LMM with 435,000 mi and I am still on the original rotors and put on the 3rd set of pads at 395,000 mi.

    • @heldtheflashlightfordad6728
      @heldtheflashlightfordad6728  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm currently sitting at 184,000 miles. I tow a skidsteer pretty regularly and a camper as well. Owner before me hauled a 5th wheel. It's better for these trucks to tow, mine has always ran better after a long heavy haul. Your's sounds like it's been a great truck to you, that's awesome!

      @@heldtheflashlightfordad6728 Its definitely enjoyable putting them to work as they were intended! Shes been great, minus the emissions equipment giving me a hard time around 350,000mi (which fell off), other than that its just been maintenance, some glow plugs and a thermostat. I'm running efi live, I mostly keep it in the optimized stock tune, cant say enough goof things about it.

    Gorgeous truck brother. how is your experience with the LMM? heard bad things about them

    • @heldtheflashlightfordad6728
      @heldtheflashlightfordad6728  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! The only issues these trucks ever have are emissions crap. Some of those parts just happened to "fall" off my truck, so it should be solid. The LBZ and The LMM are identical engines other than the emissions and everyone raves about the LBZ.

      Lmm is a beast. My last one had a built trans 80mm turbo non vgt with a 230hp tune on it with some other goodies and it would spin the tires up to 70mph

    • @bluecollarphil7064
      @bluecollarphil7064 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@heldtheflashlightfordad6728 yea I hate when they just “fall” off haha. In the market for a Duramax myself, looking into maybe getting a LML. It’s hard finding trucks that get well taken care of! I’ve just heard that the LMM’s have overheating issues.

      @heldtheflashlightfordad6728  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shitshowracing17s62Hell yea. I bet that truck was scary. These trucks already rip in stock form, your passengers must have been shitting themselves.

    • @heldtheflashlightfordad6728
      @heldtheflashlightfordad6728  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bluecollarphil7064 I picked the LMM over the LML. I know a guy that had the LML CP4 explosion at about 100k miles. Look it up if you don't know about it. The LLY trucks are the overheaters, but that can be fixed. Pretty much every Duramax is able to bulletproof. I think the LBZ and LMM are the easiest to for the least amount of $$$
      Whatever truck you get will take all your money anyway, so get the one you like the best 👌

    No lift pump?

    • @heldtheflashlightfordad6728
      @heldtheflashlightfordad6728  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not yet, I haven't been too worried since the LMM,s still have the robust CP3 pump. It's definitely on my with list. If I had an LML it would be the first thing I did.

      @@jrrains I think they will starve for fuel if you really crank up the tunes. I would say they are good insurance for any D-Max, just need to justify $750 to the wife. 😆
