Thank you!! Actually buying my first LMM this weekend. Very excited!! More excited now 😊
S - Nice! Keep us updated. We actually just dropped a LMM mod video yesterday!
@@8020Media Heck yeah man. I’ll check it out. Sure will keep yall updated!!! Thanks a bunch!!
How’s the lmm doing? My dad recently picked one up, I plan on getting an lml
@@xanman29I got a lmm with 130k no issues and have buddy’s with 300k plus in their lmms with stock injectors and turbo still 🤷♂️ I’m personally biased to the lmm but lmls are good as long as deleted and new injection pump just lmms are cheaper and super reliable
B - Thanks for sharing this experience! It will certainly help future viewers.
I have a '15 LML and love it. Had it tuned and deleted after the def heater went bad. Next step is head gaskets and CP3 conversion.
B - Sounds like you've got a nice build going.
For reliability it is very hard to beat the LMM once the emissions stuff is deleted. Once that is done you basically have an LBZ which is one of the most reliable Duramax engines made. The biggest thing the LML suffers from is the CP4.
D - Couldn't agree more!
Just got a deleted and tuned LMM LTZ Dullay with 60k miles and it’s bagged 😁
S - Sounds like a sick pickup!
Deleted LML with a lift pump. Perfect engine.
H - Nice! That's the way to do it.
Thanks for sharing this info!
C - Thanks for the feedback!
Great video man
J - Thanks for the feedback! We hope it helped.
What budget would be needed to have a decently quick lml that is reliable?
K - This video may help with your research: th-cam.com/video/tTt37Yp_GH4/w-d-xo.html
Looking at buying a lml 2013 gmc for my first diesel truck
G - Not a bad choice! Just make sure it was maintained well prior.
Does the lml have the same lack or crank key as the lmm?
C - Nope!
Delete, lift pump and cP3 an LML and you're golden. Worth the jump from LMM
J - Well said. Thanks for the added insight!
You forgot about the fact the LML’s like to break the cranks and blow head gasket more often than the LMM
M - Thanks for sharing.
I have a 2009 Silverado 3500HD with the LMM fully deleted with 5" exhaust and Mini max tuner. Do I try to find a later year Silverado with the LML? I am in Australia and it is hard to find a later year dually with the LML. Not many of them in this country. But I would if it was the right thing to do. Difficult decision. What do you think? I ma thinking from your video that you would probably think it was a difficult decision also.
I - Certainly a tough decision. Guess it goes back to why are you wanting to get rid of the LMM?
@@8020Media Only because the LML is a better engine with better torque and fuel economy. Otherwise, my present truck goes great. Just thinking there might be something better that I could do. But, as I say, what may be better to do theoretically is not necessarily going to be easy to do practically.
Can you ever improve the LMM by tuning and modifications to make it more or less equivalent to the performance and economy of the LML?
I - Personally, we would stick with the LMM.. Just cause nowadays the LML's aren't cheap. Just our two cents.
@@8020Media Ok. Thanks for that.
Which one would you buy to pull around 15k lbs reliable skidsteer trailer
P - Either.
Cummins
6 in a row makes her go! 😊
My question is, which one is going to give me the best longevity, with proper maintenance and no additional problems?
G - They both are pretty solid if taken care of! If it were up to us, LMM.
@8020Media thinking of getting a 09 ,deleted 60 hp tow tune 215k miles, looks pretty nice a fair amount of rust but looking for a dependable truck to haul medium loads regularly. 1500-2500lbs not needing lots of extras for the work truck use. I feel 10500 is a pretty good price. Do you think that's a good first duramax?
O - So long as its deleted, it's a pretty good buy. But do what's best for your finances.
Neither.
J - Lol. Sick input
