    I made one simple corner to corner baby afghan a few years ago and wish i would have seen this tutorial before i made it as i didnt know how to make my squares nice like this and use bobbins properly hence my afghan has some wonky places that i dont like but now i will go ahead and make another in the future a lot nicer using all ylur tips. Thankyou for sharing your talent and your generosity with your free tutorials. I appreciate it very much.

    Just what I needed to see. How to handle multiple yarn bobbins. Yahoo!! Game changer. I already had dog bone shape bobbins😢. But they work. However it was a mess to turn for my graphgan. I bought clothes pins. Works perfect to clip “bones” to my work. Thank you very much

    Your use of the pegs as bobbins and your turning method is brilliant, thank you. This has been doing my head in, untangling the different balls of yarn after every turn. I’m going to go and look for some giant clothes pegs.

    OMGosh, now I know why I've never done one of these before. I bow down to you, Terri, and your craft and what could only be your tenacity to keep going when you first learned to do this. I would go bald from pulling my hair out trying to do one of these. Nope, this is not for me. We all have or limitations and I've just found mine when it comes to crochet. Good on you and all the other people who attempt and retain how to do a graphghan. It wasn't your teaching. It was all the bobbins, colors and this won't match up with that and cut this and bring this one along. If I was a smoker or a drinker, I'd seriously go have a smoke or a drink right now just watching this being done.

      Yes, Cindy, I realize this is not for everyone. Lol. Back when scrapbooking gained popularity, I tried to get into doing it, but it just wasn't for me. I admit that I wouldn't want to do this kind of project all the time, but I do like to do a variety of projects. Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

    Thank you so much for taking the time to film this Terri 💕!! It's been EXTREMELY helpful! I feel like I need to formally apologise to my Santa square for being SO lazy!! I definitely didn't work with enough bobbins, so I ended up literally cutting corners with carrying my colour changes! I certainly didn't take the time to tidy my edges either! Ty for videos I want no if a photo pic of a person or place can be used in this c2c or straight across?

    • @YarnjoyPodcast
      @YarnjoyPodcast  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can use a photo if you can get it charted. Stitchfiddle.com is a place where you can upload any image and put it in chart form. But a photo would probably have a lot of detail which means it would take a chart with lots of squares to make it look right. Whether you use the c2c method or straight across with sc, depends on how big you want it to turn out to be. In c2c, each square on your chart equals to 3 stitches. With straight across sc, each square on your chart will equal 1 stitch.

  • @jen37019

    To thread the needle- fold the yarn in half and then take the needle hole and push it over the loop that is made when you fold the yarn in half. Pull through. So much easier to thread the needle.

      I lost the label on that yarn a long time before I was making that blanket so I am not sure. It was just some leftover yarn that I had. Caron Simply Soft Party yarns have a sparkle to it, but it was not that. It was a little thicker yarn than Caron Simply soft.

    Can you use these bobbins for other projects that only have say three colors?

    • @YarnjoyPodcast
      @YarnjoyPodcast  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Nadine. If the design is very detailed, you may use more than one bobbin for each color.
