    Ladies, you already know this, obviously, but what a game changer!!! I was working simultaneously on 4 blankets, about 1/2 way through with each, and I just frogged them all back to the first color changes. I'm not even upset....THIS technique makes such a huge difference. THANK YOU for sharing!

    Your video has given me the courage to start my grandson's R2D2 graphghan ...Thank You, Thank You! I must have watched this video half dozen times while making my practice piece and I think I finally have all the scenarios down. I am happy and determined to finish R2D2 by Christmas. Your instructions were more clear for me than any of the many other videos out there. You are a great instructor.

    I did my first c2c graphghan in 2019, and I found your website then, looking for a better way to do color changes, because I did not like how they looked. I am so glad I found your method. My husband also made me two bobbin stands based on the one one on your website. One I can use in front of my recliner, and one that is tabletop. I made several graphghans in 2020, but haven't made one since. I am about to make another, and looked for you on TH-cam to refresh my memory on your method. It is the best!! Thank you so much for sharing!

    This tutorial was excellent. I came for color changing tips but learned so much more. I specifically wanted to know where to keep my yarn end, if it should stay in the front or the the back and you answered it and then some. I've been watching color changing tips all day and I got the most from this half hour than I did in ones that were an hour long. Thanks so much for your help!

  • @topkat5730
    @topkat5730 ปีที่แล้ว

    Love your video. Watched it lots of times and still get something new out of it! However still would like some advice on joining, say black over pink, so that it covers properly and doesn't require an excessive amount of sewing over to get a smooth line. Is it to do with the way you pull the yarn in
    ..whether over or under the hook?

    First I wanna say thank you so much for sharing. I have a C2C in progress and I'm putting letters in the corner. I am having problems with getting the letters to sit the direction as if we're working a C2C. Mine however are sitting nice and squared up with the shape of the blanket.

    I really like the way you do the color changes when there is a definite front to the item. However, for anything that can be reversible, like the heart in your tutorial, it leaves one side looking a bit messy. I do like how you do the carrying of yarn, and may see if I can use this technique in my work. Thank you.

    • @3amgracedesigns

      As long as you're weaving ends in the portion of the blanket that matches the same color yarn, you will get a dual-sided look.

    I need help! It is not coming out they way I need too. I’m doing stripes of 4 blocks in red then 4 blocks of white, 4 red and then white, but my white should be on my right side of work. I just got done with my stripes and it on my left side of work. So I started over again. My first white block is on the back side, then 2 blocks on the front. But still works up like I’m on the back side. No matter what I do. It always works up like a back side. Hope some one, can explain what I could do. I already spent so much time and yarn on this project.

    I am new to c2c and thing c2c color change. I am going to ask a stupid question how can you tell the difference between right and wrong side. Thanks. Vicki

    • @3amgracedesigns
      @3amgracedesigns  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vicki Anderson I consider the front side the one that matches the direction of the chart I’m using. If my chart has a flower on the bottom right corner - then when the crochet in my hands shows the flower on the bottom right also - that is the front or “right” side. Once you determine the right side, you can always place a stitch marker on it so it’s easier to keep track. I do that sometimes as well.

  • @lordgunz9976

    I’m just curious is the a reason you drop the yarn to the back no matter what side u work on?

    • @3amgracedesigns
      @3amgracedesigns  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I have been crocheting and trying to figure out an answer to your question. Pulling my yarn to the back is just the way I have always done it. I find that leaving my working yarn in the front still leaves little ticks of the wrong color showing. And leaving my tails in the front just makes me question which is the front of my work and which is the back. I wish I had a better answer. - Thanks, Michaelene

  • @noneyabusinesspierce7189
    @noneyabusinesspierce7189 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am curious if the same process is followed for lefties since your up is my down and your right is my left, I have to also wonder if my back is your front? When your going left, I am going right. ;) Thanks!

    • @3amgracedesigns
      @3amgracedesigns  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there! Donna, here. I am also a leftie. As long as you pull in from the front of your panel, it doesn't matter if you're going left, right, up, down etc. As for determining the "front" of the panel, I consider the front side the one that matches the direction of the chart I'm using. If my chart has a flower on the bottom right corner -- then when the crochet in my hands shows the flower on the bottom right also -- that is the front or "right" side. Once you determine the right side, you can always place a stitch marker on it so it's easier to keep track. I still do that sometimes as well.

      Start working the white until you get to a row with a different color, at that point pick what you want to be your front and what you want to be your back.
