Not to throw any shade at this guy, seems like a stand up dude. However, working for the ATF honestly makes my skin crawl. You should have asked his opinion on how the ATF is attacking 2A and how he justifies working for them. Haven't seen the full pod so maybe you did.
I don't think ATF undercovers back in the day were looking for 3d printed guns. You're confusing this man's career with the anti-American sentiment that has infected pop culture and now government agencies over the last few years.
Full shade, I hope he did ask him because I really wanna know what kind of people join an “agency” that has a legacy of killing women and children at both Waco and Ruby ridge. You gotta really not care about your own brothers and sisters to sign up for something like that.

He’s right. You’d think the first rule about being undercover is pretending to be someone you’re not. That’s absolutely not the case. These guys are cutthroats. The real deal. And just like in jail or prison, they can sniff out if you’re being yourself or not. And that’s what you’re supposed to do. Be yourself

Of course. It's just business, nothing personal. He gets paid to enforce laws and follow orders, not to question the laws and orders he's given.
Of course those of us whom were sincere when we took an oath to uphold and protect the Constitution of the united states won't agree with any of that but that's the general attitude of most federal LEOs and even state LEOs.
Just like mafia enforcers, cartel sicarios, those whom bear arms to enforce legislation for anti-constitutional, treasonous, career politicians believe it's not their place to question orders but to obey and carry out their duty.
In the end, I'm certain near death, they'll look back with regret for their actions.
I've known of DEA agents whom were allowed to become cocaine and ecstasy junkies and whores, even having intercourse with multiple drug dealers at once, while undercover and it's all kosher to the DEA because they were performing undercover.
