Need some advise, I've had about 2hrs or run time on the K8 and all of a sudden it won't cut through the last 4 sheets of plywood. I've been using the same material the entire time and have had no issue up until now. 150/100 percent single pass. Even tried 2 passes and no change. Not sure if it's inconsistencies with the wood or the laser is dirty? Can't figure out how to check the lens to see if it needs to be cleaned.
You can unscrew the bottom of the laser head and check out the lens. If it's broken, the machine comes with replacement lenses. Also, lasers can overheat and lose their life expectancy, so our recommendation is to stop using them for 10 minutes after 1 hour of cutting and 10 minutes after 4 hours of engraving.
If it is dirty, just clean it. If you have other issues, you could send the email with more details service@wainlux.com
I bought the K8 10w for its speed but also for the camera, so that I could engrave several pieces at once. My first response to the whole camera is why would you put limitations on it's use, such as it working in wifi mode only, It would have made more sense to me that it wouldn't work unless connected to the usb cable. Secondly why would you restrict special characters since they are the backbone of making a secure network connection. Last why would you restrict it to 2.4g internet access when most are 5g now. Unless I can figure out how to get my unit connected to the wifi the camera is useless. I tried several times to connect it to the K8 wifi I can't get that to work either.
Sorry for the inconvenience. You could set AP mode.
When you open the machine, it also has wifi, name is WAINLUX_K8, use your computer or phone to connect it.
The wifi password is 12345678.
The only way I could get my K8 to talk via WiFi was in AP mode - following the setup from this video NEVER worked

Camera does not show up in Mac OS version of cutlabx. How do I get it working with the camera?
Have you connected the WIFI? The machine, computer and software are must under same 2.4G WIFI
Yes k8 is connected to home network as is my M1 MacBook. There is no camera icon visible on the toolbar of cutlabx
@@wainlux2023 I use netgear orbi setup where it provides 2.4 and 5ghz on same SSID. My MacBook connects to 5ghz.

When I try to connect to the wifi it tells me I cannot use symbols but those are part of my password. Do I have to change my wifi password and therefore everything connected to my wifi just to get this to work?
Could not use ?~! others are okay. If you don't want to change your password, please consider this mode: The K8 itself contains WIFI, name is WAINLUX_K8, use your computer or phone to connect it.
The wifi password is 12345678.
Other steps are same(make your computer and software connect this wifi). The IP of it is 192.168.0.1
Yea, that's bullcrap. You can't even use a space. My SSID has a space in it and it gets the same error but every other device has the capability to see that and is okay with it. There needs to be a software update that includes all characters.
