    Nice.... thanks for breaking it down. I'm going to be installing one of these for myself soon, and I wanted to see what I was getting into😂. Doesn't look too hard, though... great video!

      You’re welcome! It’s really not that bad to install, pretty intuitive… best of luck! 😊

    Just finished installing our door and I cant begin to tell you how helpful your video was!!
    The instructions that came with this kit were terrible and I'd have given up if I didn't use this video instead.
    The only mistake we made was going with the 86 1/4" measurement from the floor to the top of the rail - which happened to line up exactly with the center line of the backer board - and we should have gone with the 86 1/2" measurement instead. When we went to hang the door, rested on the rail, but also perfectly on the floor, so it couldn't slide. So unfortunately, I had to remove the rail bolts and reposition them 1/4" higher to allow for the clearance and the guide on the floor.
    I wish you were able to go into more detail on the "slow close" assembly, as for us, this was the hardest step of the entire install. We followed your steps, and with a quick glance at a couple other videos that zoomed in on the door brackets and assembly - we were able to successfully install them on the first try. Your tip to remove the door from the track to mount the door brackets was super helpful and worked like a charm!
    Thanks again.👍👍

      So glad the video helped! Ya, there are a few smaller details that in hindsight I would have delved into further. Excellent job installing this yourself! Even with video instructions this door is not an easy install, you must be handy to start with. Thank you for your feedback on the video ❤️

    How far from the left of your framed opening do you place the left end of the hanger rod ? Thanks.

    • @A.G.T.A
      @A.G.T.A  ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically you split the difference… so take your door frame size (with trim or without) take the door size out of that and divide by 2 (ex: 38” opening to end of trim - door width (36”) = 1” reveal on both sides - make a mark and go 6” from that point to the left side (in this example it would be 5” from the outside of the trim). Hope this helps… if not, let me know, I’ll try to explain myself better

    Hi, nice job! After installation I have a gap 3cm between door and wall. Can you recommend how to solve it?

    • @A.G.T.A
      @A.G.T.A  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Does your opening have trim? The gap is made so the door doesn’t hit the trim as it passes, so the only way to fix any kind of excessive gap is to do something about the top track… you could possibly remove the back plate of the track and replace with a thinner plate… anything that would shorten the distance between the top track and the wall… just beware that you are ensuring stability in the track and clearance of the door with the slide

    When you install the lag bolts for the track, do they go through the header board and into the wall at all?

    • @A.G.T.A
      @A.G.T.A  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They will go through and into the wall. If you have full backer behind the drywall, they should go through and catch that. If your header board is attached properly to studs in the wall, this is a redundancy that’s not needed, but extra reinforcement doesn’t hurt

      Thanks very much for the reply and the video. I'm installing on lathe and plaster and just getting a sense of things. I guess this means you need to drill pilot holes through the header into the wall before the lag bolts? Our header will already be bolted into the studs, so this is just for the track.

    Do you happen to know overall height to the top of the rollers? Im framing a basement right now and the wife wants this door to one room and im hoping i have the height

    • @A.G.T.A
      @A.G.T.A  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m pretty sure it’s about 88”…that’s based on 84” door… might be tight for a typical basement

    • @machmslf

      @@A.G.T.A thank you for the reply! Its a newer house but the way the duct work is ran it just may work

    • @A.G.T.A
      @A.G.T.A  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @machmslf well then you may be in luck since newer homes typically have taller basements, so a regular sized barn door has a good chance of fitting… best of luck with the installation and overall finish of your basement!
