you missed a free hammer on your way through nokron, right were you get the mimic tear spirit ash you can jump out the window to the right and land on a platform, fight a mimic tear or run past him to the right again and you'll find a corpse carrying the hammer and i think a smithing stone on the other side of the beam

It is an easy one to miss it was after a couple of runthroughs I realized there was loot glowing above where the giant ball was, it took me awhile to figure how to get over to it as I play offline so I have no hints that other players have left. There is such a massive amount of content in this game. I find something new every playthrough!
Yep, I was going to make the same comment but figured someone else likely already did. The hammer mentioned above you go through the last window on the right; don't try either of the first 2 as you fall to your death, just before the room/mimic tear chest. Go out, jump across, deal with the tear enemy then go up and to the right through and through the window. You will see the loot on the edge of the beam. This a spot on the other side of the wall from where you killed the stone ball and too the ladder down inside the cathedral.
I'm sure somebody has already mentioned it, but above the big ball enemy is a weapon that you can get to by jumping out of the right side window just before the mimic tear ashes. I missed this on my first play through and it took me longer than I care to admit to sort it out the second time.
@@ttcfarhat6709 i think so there is 1 purple soul thing that he missed that i remember i didn't get. think it was in the room above the ball. don't know how to get it. don't think he mentioned it cause it wasn't of any significance. he did this in another video but the weapon i got wasn't anything special never heard of it never seen anyone use it etc.. i went back to get the weapon it's the Knox flowing Hammer. as stated by the above poster just go to the room before the mimic tear ash there is a broken window to your right. after that it's just straight forward jump on a roof and only 1 way to really go. only other item i food on the roof is some butterflies.
The twin boss gargoyle , i was having the hardest time , until the second gargoyle decided to jump in the hole beside the entrance , while almost full health , and just died
i finished Rannis questline and when i came back here D had died at the roundtable and i had his armor. when i spoke to guy crying it gave him the armor and he fought with me on this fight. so it was 3v2 with my summon and him

I've died a shit ton myself, especially them ledges and god damned chariots. Elden ring is amazing, with insanely good combat, but a good platformer it is not.
Easily the worst part of the game, Elden Ring does not have a good engine for jumping puzzles. I actually got to the bottom on my second try, then ran right past the Fingerprint Shield which is why I was going down there in the first place 🤦♂️ took another two hours to get to the bottom again after checking a guide
Dogs are worse than gravity for me. This is my first Souls game, and goddamn am I bad at it. If it weren’t such a beautiful expansive game I would have stopped playing months ago.
I too die testing if gravity still exists in the game. Some say I "fell" but after 4 souls games I can assure you I am testing game mechanics just to make sure Miyazaki didn't hide something.
The "get naked" tip for the mimic boss was hilarious and super helpful! I'd seen so many people give tips on being patient, especially if you're strong when you get there. I went in naked, then equipped my bloodhound fang and beat it on my first try. 🤣❤️

I had the weirdest bug with the Regal Ancestor Spirit. Right at the start he did a couple of attacks and then faded away. I then turned around to look for him and I saw a goat fall over dead. And that was it. Legend Felled. No idea what that was about.
@a7xogg Right. The damn area's to big for it to run around and too many other npc's to fight at the same time along with the red wolf shooting swords at you.
After the clarifying horn charm +1 you can drop down to that upper part of Siofra that has the Dragonkin Soldier. I don't know if theres an easier way there from Siofra, but this path is how i found that area.
Ya he covered that area im 90% sure in his siofra river vid , there’s a second portal up a concrete area that’ll take you there I believe , if we talking about the same spot my bad if I’m not
If you save and quit after giving mystery naked dude the armor and then start up again you will notice he has disappeared. When you are about to fight the 2 gargoyles you will then be able to summon the no longer naked man before the battle. Three on two was much better. :)

Fun Fact. My friend was using the Guts Sword (you know the one) and when fighting him, the Regal Ancestral Spirit glitched out and died after doing 1 attack. So when I made it to that boss, he asked if he could join me...and when he did the Regal Ancestral Spirit did the exact same 1 attack and then died instantly. We have replicated the glitch twice! Not sure if patched
Not patched... done his disappearing thing and never came back... luckily the second time it happened my spirit summon took it out but shooting an arrow through the floor. Happened tonight
The two silver naked mimic ppl you can actually let them walk off the platform and not have to fight them, just need to shoot them with an arrow or a skill and they will walk off the ledge with you on the round platform above them
Just a tip on the duo boss. Once you entered the arena, head right, fight the first gargoyle right next to the waterfall. More often then not I was able to get the first one to fall off the waterfall, making that fight much easier.
19:15 oh, THAT'S how you are supposed to get down there.... I did it by going all the way to the end of the bridge and performing a kinda precise jump down on top of one of the pillars and dropping down further from there :D Always thought that was a bit too tricky and didn't even expect to find loot there since it felt like a place I wasn't meant to be.
I did it this way as well, so when I saw Dom do it the way he did it I kinda facepalm'd, lol. Despite that, it still seems like something the devs would put in, where you have to go through "difficult" parkour to get to... Like this one spot in Caelid near the giant mother dragon (actually on the cliff near the minor erdtree where you fight the 'corrupted' erdtree avatar guy, iirc), where you can do a bunch of parkour drop downs to get down to a far lower level. I died at least a dozen times trying to get the timing just right for those jumps, lol.
Hey dude did you know the arrows reach talisman extends the range of Rock Sling? Rock Sling is also classed as impact damage rather than arcane so it's affected by slightly different buffs than you'd expect.

A partial solution to your ledge-falling problem is a trick I learned from Lara Croft while tomb-raiding. CROUCH while walking along dangerous areas! The "over-head" focus is clearer!!
When jumping across the roofs in the Night's Sacred Grounds area, it looks like you're jumping too soon. I think you'll find you'll make a lot of those jumps if you get just a little closer to the edge before jumping.
This is why I don't use the rune arcs in areas that have platforming. I feel awful losing them when I fall. Don't feel bad, I'm good at falling and dying, too! Thanks for the guide! I wanted to be sure that I hadn't missed anything 😊
Honestly I'm just so OCD about always having that big glow-y icon in the top left corner I really regret it and I'm going to try and limit my Rune Arc use from now on hahah!!!
Rune arcs have gotten to the point where all it does is give me maybe 5 tiny ticks in my health these days godricks great rune used to give me 5 ticks in every stat but now they make me laugh more than anything lol
@18:16 when u say your done here.. Your not!! there is a boss fight right underneath you. (as far as i know this is the ONLY way to get to it) look down from the ledge and u will see a statue with a pillar that fell over making a ramp. go down it and loot the area and then fight the boss. Teleporting is only way back that i found.
I’ve been playing for 6 years, I guess I’d be a level above recruit but a level below a veteran, haha. And I think it’s about even for me personally in Elden Ring.
Right? I have found that's an excellent way to guarantee you're going to die in the next five minutes. I swear it happens every time I think "might as well use a rune arc, what could possibly go wrong here?".
Great tutorial. I used this to help guide me through. However, at your 18 min:, 17 sec mark, there is actually still more to do before teleworking off the platforms. a) There is a pool at the very bottom if you keep climb down towards a slanted broken pillar on the right.. go around in the river pool & a slow, crawling Dragonkin Soldier Boss will drop the silver "Dragon Hablberd" once beaten with the assistance of a summon spirit. b) And a dead corpse hidden in the misty waterfall will hide the "Mariska's Scarseal."
Wish this game had armor and weapon/item loadouts for quick swapping on Grace Sites like Nioh. Oh! I didn't think about mimic summon at Rykard boss fight with 2 serpent spears!
Hey, Dom! Thank you for your work and yet another awesome video! Sorry if I'm touching a soft spot here😅, but I believe there is some kind of weapon lying on the rooftops at the place were you fell the most and before the first two mimic tears. As you've hopped over the gap, you can hop once again to your left.
If you want to see your warrior act like an oddball, put the ghost flame torch in your left hand, and hold it up to light up the area. Keeping the torch high, start spamming backstep. After the first initial hop backward, you will stop and only your top half and your right toes will perform the animation. Also affects the armors differently. Very strange. Works with St. Trina's torch as well.
This camera bug pissed me off THOUSAND times. 70% of my deaths were because of that flick that the camera gives, making you go straight to the hole. Love this game and your videos!
16:40 or make them fall from the cliff, in my opinion is the secret intended way to dealt with them, many other bosses are fixed to not fall incuiding the other 2 black kindred gargoyles (yes i tried)

Keep the armor. Less stress about them killing Fia and missing the only missable trophy related boss fight if you warp away after facing her champions when she is asleep
D's twinned brother only kills fia after defeating placidsaux and obtaining the mending rune of the death prince, id actually advise the opposite you could miss out on the inseperable blade that D's brother drops after killing him/reloading the area and I havent tested this myself but i dont know if D dies in the roundtable hold once the erdtree is burned and it would have the same effect in the questlines

Great contact brother! (Quick tip) @ 9:33, if you use Lightning bolt on the gooey things from a distance they will die and won’t transform. I was able to rid of them quite easily. Hope this helps! 🤙🏽🙏🏻
Great videos! Love to watch them before and after I tackle an area, so keep up the great work. Maybe you can help me understand something that I might be missing... Is there a benefit to equipping your rune arc BEFORE you arrive at a boss to fight? I noticed that you like to equip them straight off after respawning, instead of doing what I do and get where you are going safety and THEN equip it. Do you jump higher or something? Thanks!
One more item I found is a Mottled Necklace +1. It’s on a body on the roof beams above the hallowhorn grounds where the glowing elk corpse is. To get to it go around up to where the jellyfish are near where you drop down to the crucible knights and then turn around. There is an area of cliff that nearly connects to the beams above the hallowhorn, you can walk to the item there.
I really like how these videos can make me proud of myself. First souls game in over 10 years, blind first playthrough offline, and I only missed one rune arc. I managed to defeat the two crucible knights without dying once, even though the white zombies attacked me when I was fighting the second one. Died only twice to ledges and not once to mimic tears. And somehow managed to defeat the two gargoyles by myself, without any summon or glitch (died a lot before though...). And all of that while not overleveled at all. I was doing about half the damage you're doing, and my hp, fp and stamina bars are nowhere near as impressive. Sooo yeah, I'm feeling quite proud of myself right now!
Pro tip from lpdarksoulshd. To sprint from standing position. Just jump on the spot and hold circle instantly. Next time you move youll auto sprint. Usefull in many ways!
Maybe you had already shown it in another video, but if you jump even lower at the bridge where you jumped down, you will come to an area with a Dragonkin Soldier Boss and other useful items.

I actually shot the Mimic Tears in Night's Sacred Ground with arrows. Both promptly threw themselves off the ledge. I also used Lightning Spear to stop all the Tears at the end of Night's Sacred Ground from transforming - even the one that should've turned into a giant.
Thanks for another awesome guide. I'd like to boast that I did not die once, either by falling where you fell while parkouring, or to the enemies in that area. I cannot though, because I fell upwards of over 50 times trying to get the GhostFlame Torch. It took me close to an hour to get that stupid thing, and while dying repeatedly, Einstein's parable of quantum insanity kept repeating itself in my head.
For the section with mimic tears in the runup to the chest: hit them from range and they will not transform. I used frenzied burst with my faith build to ohko them without ever being in danger.
Yeah. And I found out that they're vulnerable to lightning when I shot one with a lightning arrow on accident. So I just rained lightning pots on them back when I was on the rooftops.
melee builds vs great shields. two hand your weapon it’s even better than power standing L1 wirh great swords because it won’t bounce off and is much quicker to shield break for critical
You are the best, buy as I struggle too with jumping areas, I never use rune arcs there as is just wasting them (usually there are not many anemies in that places)
The mimic that spawns further back,in Knights Sacred Hunting Ground, will run right off the ledge if you tag it with an arrow from the rooftop. Sometimes the closer one will follow it off too.

I'm on my first time through Elden Ring, so I will take this opportunity to vent a little, as it's relevant to the misfortunes you talk about around 6:40 - The setting that automatically adjusts the camera around walls got me killed and cost me 25k runes. I was carefully lining up a jump, sprinted forward, jumped, and at the last second, the camera clips into a small pillar, auto-adjusts and suddenly sends me straight into the abyss. I was so mad that a mimic tear managed to kill me on the runback to the runes. I don't play the Souls games, this never happened to me in Sekiro, and while I do always go through option menus, I thought "camera avoids walls" sounded good. And then it got me killed. Horrible. Maddening. Only happened a few days ago. I will never forgive it. Anyway, let me add to the year-old chorus saying these videos are great. I only ever look one up after I've done it, and I've gotten better at finding stuff on my own. For Caria Manor and Redmane Castle you've taught me nothing new - isn't that great? :D
It's not just you brother. Gravity is definitely the most dangerous enemy in a Souls game! 😁 That being said, I hope Fromsoft never changes they're precarious, rooftop scampering sections of their games. They tend to be some of THE best moments in literally all of them! Probably a bug, happened to me too
He's a spirit so maybe he went into the goats body and the poor goat couldn't handle his spirit and instantly died.

The dragon just outside of Ranni’s tower despawned on me mid fight and never respawned…
I hated Nokstella so much. So annoying. Also, the Red Wolf of Radagon and the crucible knight were harder than most boss room bosses.
That's first crucible knight yeeted himself off the ledge while fighting me lol

Pretty sure the summon sign appears even if you have not reloaded the area already.

"Coyote time" is noticable - you can jump a half step PAST the edge.

(as far as i know this is the ONLY way to get to it) look down from the ledge and u will see a statue with a pillar that fell over making a ramp. go down it and loot the area and then fight the boss. Teleporting is only way back that i found.

Curious why you use so many rune arcs? Seems like you’re better off saving them for boss encounters right lol… not just the random platforming areas!
Right? I have found that's an excellent way to guarantee you're going to die in the next five minutes. I swear it happens every time I think "might as well use a rune arc, what could possibly go wrong here?".
I just do 🤣 I am terrible for using them up, especially when I am so prone to dying on ledges or cliffs 😂

Great tutorial. I used this to help guide me through. However, at your 18 min:, 17 sec mark, there is actually still more to do before teleworking off the platforms.
a) There is a pool at the very bottom if you keep climb down towards a slanted broken pillar on the right.. go around in the river pool & a slow, crawling Dragonkin Soldier Boss will drop the silver "Dragon Hablberd" once beaten with the assistance of a summon spirit.
b) And a dead corpse hidden in the misty waterfall will hide the "Mariska's Scarseal."
Wish this game had armor and weapon/item loadouts for quick swapping on Grace Sites like Nioh.
Oh! I didn't think about mimic summon at Rykard boss fight with 2 serpent spears!

Sorry if I'm touching a soft spot here😅, but I believe there is some kind of weapon lying on the rooftops at the place were you fell the most and before the first two mimic tears. As you've hopped over the gap, you can hop once again to your left.

You made the gargoyle fight (hell) look like (heaven). I have no words.
If you want to see your warrior act like an oddball, put the ghost flame torch in your left hand, and hold it up to light up the area. Keeping the torch high, start spamming backstep. After the first initial hop backward, you will stop and only your top half and your right toes will perform the animation. Also affects the armors differently. Very strange. Works with St. Trina's torch as well.
This camera bug pissed me off THOUSAND times.
70% of my deaths were because of that flick that the camera gives, making you go straight to the hole.

16:40 or make them fall from the cliff, in my opinion is the secret intended way to dealt with them, many other bosses are fixed to not fall incuiding the other 2 black kindred gargoyles (yes i tried)

Keep the armor. Less stress about them killing Fia and missing the only missable trophy related boss fight if you warp away after facing her champions when she is asleep
D's twinned brother only kills fia after defeating placidsaux and obtaining the mending rune of the death prince, id actually advise the opposite you could miss out on the inseperable blade that D's brother drops after killing him/reloading the area and I havent tested this myself but i dont know if D dies in the roundtable hold once the erdtree is burned and it would have the same effect in the questlines

Great videos! Love to watch them before and after I tackle an area, so keep up the great work. Maybe you can help me understand something that I might be missing... Is there a benefit to equipping your rune arc BEFORE you arrive at a boss to fight? I noticed that you like to equip them straight off after respawning, instead of doing what I do and get where you are going safety and THEN equip it. Do you jump higher or something? Thanks!
One more item I found is a Mottled Necklace +1. It’s on a body on the roof beams above the hallowhorn grounds where the glowing elk corpse is. To get to it go around up to where the jellyfish are near where you drop down to the crucible knights and then turn around. There is an area of cliff that nearly connects to the beams above the hallowhorn, you can walk to the item there.

I really like how these videos can make me proud of myself. First souls game in over 10 years, blind first playthrough offline, and I only missed one rune arc. I managed to defeat the two crucible knights without dying once, even though the white zombies attacked me when I was fighting the second one. Died only twice to ledges and not once to mimic tears. And somehow managed to defeat the two gargoyles by myself, without any summon or glitch (died a lot before though...). And all of that while not overleveled at all. I was doing about half the damage you're doing, and my hp, fp and stamina bars are nowhere near as impressive. Sooo yeah, I'm feeling quite proud of myself right now!

Pro tip from lpdarksoulshd. To sprint from standing position. Just jump on the spot and hold circle instantly. Next time you move youll auto sprint. Usefull in many ways!
Maybe you had already shown it in another video, but if you jump even lower at the bridge where you jumped down, you will come to an area with a Dragonkin Soldier Boss and other useful items.

I actually shot the Mimic Tears in Night's Sacred Ground with arrows. Both promptly threw themselves off the ledge.
I also used Lightning Spear to stop all the Tears at the end of Night's Sacred Ground from transforming - even the one that should've turned into a giant.

Thanks for another awesome guide. I'd like to boast that I did not die once, either by falling where you fell while parkouring, or to the enemies in that area. I cannot though, because I fell upwards of over 50 times trying to get the GhostFlame Torch. It took me close to an hour to get that stupid thing, and while dying repeatedly, Einstein's parable of quantum insanity kept repeating itself in my head.

For the section with mimic tears in the runup to the chest: hit them from range and they will not transform. I used frenzied burst with my faith build to ohko them without ever being in danger.
Yeah. And I found out that they're vulnerable to lightning when I shot one with a lightning arrow on accident. So I just rained lightning pots on them back when I was on the rooftops.
melee builds vs great shields. two hand your weapon it’s even better than power standing L1 wirh great swords because it won’t bounce off and is much quicker to shield break for critical

You are the best, buy as I struggle too with jumping areas, I never use rune arcs there as is just wasting them (usually there are not many anemies in that places)

The mimic that spawns further back,in Knights Sacred Hunting Ground, will run right off the ledge if you tag it with an arrow from the rooftop. Sometimes the closer one will follow it off too.

Hey Dom, if the jellyfish are blue, you don’t have to attack them and they won’t bother you. But attacking one will turn ALL of them red.

I'm on my first time through Elden Ring, so I will take this opportunity to vent a little, as it's relevant to the misfortunes you talk about around 6:40 - The setting that automatically adjusts the camera around walls got me killed and cost me 25k runes. I was carefully lining up a jump, sprinted forward, jumped, and at the last second, the camera clips into a small pillar, auto-adjusts and suddenly sends me straight into the abyss. I was so mad that a mimic tear managed to kill me on the runback to the runes.
I don't play the Souls games, this never happened to me in Sekiro, and while I do always go through option menus, I thought "camera avoids walls" sounded good. And then it got me killed. Horrible. Maddening. Only happened a few days ago. I will never forgive it.
Anyway, let me add to the year-old chorus saying these videos are great. I only ever look one up after I've done it, and I've gotten better at finding stuff on my own. For Caria Manor and Redmane Castle you've taught me nothing new - isn't that great? :D

It's not just you brother. Gravity is definitely the most dangerous enemy in a Souls game! 😁 That being said, I hope Fromsoft never changes they're precarious, rooftop scampering sections of their games. They tend to be some of THE best moments in literally all of them!
