From the Siofra River Bank side of grace, you can go to the flaming pillars and then turn right. After a short walk behind a pillar on a small hill you can find an Inverted Hawk Heater Shield (str 10, phys 100, fire 49, guard boost 50). A notable shield for early firebomb throwing enemies and one even low strength characters can likely use. If you went to Weeping Peninsula before and got the Eclipse Crest version, this one still edges out in some cases due to high fire resistance. Plus, it's a red heater shield which might be nice for specific Elden Bling like for use with Sage set.

I have almost 90hrs into my first playthrough and thought I had found everything in most early areas. But I still learn something I missed from every one of your videos.
It really is. I doubt I'll put it in my top 5, but we'll see. However, when it comes to level design and the sheer amount of exploration that's possible, it's definitely up there. The two games at the top of my list haven't changed for years, which is Witcher 3 and Red Dead 2, but the other three change all the time. I think one of the main things holding me back from putting Elden Ring higher is that my brain isn't really wired correctly for this type of game. I have gotten fairly far and I'm slowly learning, but it's a struggle bus every step of the way.

Another great video, really enjoying this series! I thought I had gotten everything in Soifra River and had completely missed the portal to the upper level. Just finished mopping up the area over lunch. And it FINALLY got me a Somber Stone (5) so I could upgrade my axe to 6. Been looking for one of those forever it seemed. Keep em coming!
Honestly, I had hit a wall in Elden Ring before stumbling upon your videos. This was mostly due to the difficulty spike in the Atlus Plateau. But I decided to follow along with your journey and ended up not only discovering several awesome items and Ashes of War that beefed up my build. But I also gained several levels from working through all the dungeons I'd missed. All in all, I'd say you reinvigorated my passion for the game. Now I'm working my way through the Plateau with ease. So keep up the great work and congratulations on going full time. You deserve all this success and much more.
I'm really liking this series so far. Even though I had already found everything mentioned in this video, the earlier videos really help me find the little nooks and crannies I thought were a waste of time exploring. Still on my first play through and I'm almost at 170 hrs. I'm hoping that on my new game+ I can come back like Ains Ooal Gown.

@@derekisludicrous9203 the you have to be farming runes. I’m playing legally. Right now I’m lvl 106 with 140 hrs, first playtrhough still. Also, I’m extremely overleveled on the latest areas of the game
8:20 go deeper and around the corner to the right to find dragon grease (forget the exact name) but its good for dragon enemies, like the one your about to run into

i poured 70 hours into my first playthrough so far and mostly been exploring a lot. i mean most people probably finished the game by now but i barely just killed the giant boss. but i really love semi-100%ing a game so i love these videos to show me all the things i missed even tho i been fairly thorough in my playthrough, backtracking countless times to explore further. i thought i uncovered most of it but there are still things i missed completely.
Oh wow, I didn’t know you could climb that pillar to get to the upper level early - I got to that upper level much later from where the Mimic Tear area is & was like, “Oh, a baby version of that boss I fought a long time ago - weird they put it later in the game”, haha. Love these videos, they help me do some clean up when I think I’m fully done with an area.
it doesn’t seem like it takes you all the way up to Nokron, at least what was shown in the video. it’s just a place you (and i and many others) missed.... i never found marika’s scar seal, only found the sore seal later in the game.
@@mkv2718 Yeah, I found the area when I jumped down from the Mimic Tear boss arena, climbing along the ruins & dropping down instead of going into the area that's intended where the Regal Ancestor Spirit is.
11:11 there is another sword stone key in the little bridge behind it i think you missed it so now you can use the two stone sword key for free to open the lift, and there is also a red shield you messed around the boss arena on the top.

I've been roughly progressing the game as fast as you've been releasing the videos so they're great to follow along with. Loving the personality behind them too. I have completed this game two times over and still watch these videos. The biggest tip in this video is seeing that you've added your flasks to the quick select menu. That's genius! No more frantically cycling through the menu to use a flask.

You can just hold down for a second and it automatically goes to your healing flask, or whatever is in the first slot, no matter how many items you have equipped. Same for spells I think holding up will instantly switch to your first spell.

Thank you so much! If you head right away from before the boss area you can find an Inverted Hawk Heater Shield after clearing out some enemies it grants good negation for fire, holy, and lightning whilst maintaining 100 physical negation for guard counters
Hey, I noticed in the upper area with the Dragonkin Soldier, you can find Formic Rocks, the item description of which reads: "Found near Ainsel River and other places where giant ants live." However, I have never seen a giant ant in the Siofra river area. Does anyone know if they're there?
Yes. You can't get there from this area as far as I know. I found the Ansel River by progressing an NPCs quest and it opened up a tower with a teleporter to it, and the ants are found there.
Keep going my man doing great. People probably already told you, but you can use Blunt weapons on the stone enemies in caves and in the underground to kill them easier.
So those rocky basic enemy humanoid dudes, they're very common in underground areas. The trick with them is to use strike-type weapons as they're specifically vulnerable to them. you'll deal 2-3x as much damage with strike versus slash or otherwise
Thank you thank you thank you!!!! I could I'm not remember where that second portal was located to save my life. Literally spent 40 minutes combing through each and every bush in the area just trying to find it lol!
One thing worth mentioning is the soap beneath the waterfall. Before you go to the river area. Not the piece of soap itself is important, but it is a hint as to what is going to come. You get to gather melted mushroom in this area in abundance. You going to need it for a special recipe: soap. And you meet a merchant. Nomadic warriors cookbook 17 has the recipe for soap! Now use the melted mushrooms to create soap.

Excellent video! Last night I just cleared Siofra River and couldn't wait to see your video! I gotta point out, you missed an item near the golden seed tree. On the scafold nearest to the waterfall, you can jump with torrent and reach to the far side of the column to get an item. I remember it being a Stonesword key but I could be wrong!

The biggest tip in this video is seeing that you've added your flasks to the quick select menu. That's genius! No more frantically cycling through the menu to use a flask.

You can just hold down for a second and it automatically goes to your healing flask, or whatever is in the first slot, no matter how many items you have equipped. Same for spells I think holding up will instantly switch to your first spell.

Thank you so much! If you head right away from before the boss area you can find an Inverted Hawk Heater Shield after clearing out some enemies it grants good negation for fire, holy, and lightning whilst maintaining 100 physical negation for guard counters
You missed a stones word key, by the golden seed, you go across the pillar
At 8:24 in the 2nd room bit full of enemies you can go further back and through a narrow walkway to a ledge with another pick up. Great vids.
Hey, I noticed in the upper area with the Dragonkin Soldier, you can find Formic Rocks, the item description of which reads: "Found near Ainsel River and other places where giant ants live." However, I have never seen a giant ant in the Siofra river area. Does anyone know if they're there?
Yes. You can't get there from this area as far as I know. I found the Ansel River by progressing an NPCs quest and it opened up a tower with a teleporter to it, and the ants are found there.

People probably already told you, but you can use Blunt weapons on the stone enemies in caves and in the underground to kill them easier.

So those rocky basic enemy humanoid dudes, they're very common in underground areas. The trick with them is to use strike-type weapons as they're specifically vulnerable to them. you'll deal 2-3x as much damage with strike versus slash or otherwise

One thing worth mentioning is the soap beneath the waterfall. Before you go to the river area.
Not the piece of soap itself is important, but it is a hint as to what is going to come.
You get to gather melted mushroom in this area in abundance. You going to need it for a special recipe: soap.
And you meet a merchant. Nomadic warriors cookbook 17 has the recipe for soap!
Now use the melted mushrooms to create soap.

Excellent video! Last night I just cleared Siofra River and couldn't wait to see your video! I gotta point out, you missed an item near the golden seed tree. On the scafold nearest to the waterfall, you can jump with torrent and reach to the far side of the column to get an item. I remember it being a Stonesword key but I could be wrong!
