I've seen this animation set to so many different songs over the years but I never knew the original. Seeing it now, it makes the whole scene take on an entirely different feeling.
I like the side references to the film like the coats and hats hanging on the rack from the "Good Morning" scene. Also the doll on the couch for when Donald sang "Make 'Em Laugh" and not to forget the studio fan and light that I think is a nod to the scene where Gene sang "You Were Meant For Me." Not to mention the obvious set for "Singin' In The Rain." I really enjoy classic films almost as much as I do modern references to them, it was really pleasant to watch this :)
I can't believe I recognized your work on the Ui Shigure's video because I recognized the footwork you did reminded me of this video! Absolutely amazing!
Very impressed by how you combined classic American animation with classic Japanese animation, the old timey music also helped in the mood a lot. It was adorable and sweet. This animation got me through some very hard times. I was living in some very bad conditions, in a cramped 6 x 8 room. But putting this on and just flailing around pretending to dance alongside the ghost was a very bright light during those times. Every so often I come back to this, and I feel like none of my problems exist anymore. I know it's been years, but thank you so much for making this.

なんて奇縁だ…
Well ain't this the cutest thang I ever seen.
0:33 there´s a "Singin in the Rain" poster behind.
And it’s the whole set that was in the movie you can the door frame that Donaldo’connor ran into ,and the dummy that he beats up in make’em laugh
It appears the algorithm has recommended me this adorable animation...

Still one of my favorite all time videos. Thank you.

I feel like not enough people have watched Singin' in the Rain to really appreciate this.
I have the biggest smile that just won't go away now.
Love it. Beautiful animation, lovely character and such a great reference to one of my favorite films :)
I can't help but appreciate how well-drawn the movements are
I can’t imagine how time consuming this must have been to make. Incredible effort to maintain the illusion of a legless character having feet, but it pays off. This is the sort of video you watch several times through and pick up new details each time.
