I made challa today for the first time, it seemed a little heavy but my granddaughter loved it. Could I have let it rise too much. I don't know what it is supposed to taste like. Going to try honey cake next. I don't like coffee! You bob is so cute.
The cheerio bars would make a great breakfast food as you’re rushing little ones to shul :-) Question about your gorgeous apple ‘rose’ cake: do you know if it freezes well? I suspect it might make the roses soggy? It would be wonderful to make in advance and be able to freeze but that’s probably wishful thinking on my part ;-) L’shanah tovah!
The cheerio bar looks delicious - and soo easy. I think you could quite easily make it fancy by cutting it in smaller bite sized pieces and top with a slice of apple, and a bit of honey. I'm wondering if there is a religious reason for why you don't wear a wedding band?

Any other tips for knowing if the round Challah is fully done? I thought it was (including adding the foil to puff and checking the bottom) but it was raw inside when we cut it last week. My family was not impressed. lol

Just a suggestion. What if you heat the peanut butter in the microwave so a little bit looser and might pourable and mix a tad bit easier to mix.

I always check mine with a long toothpick to see if the dough it fully cooked in the center.
