Awesome! Could you do this with a dark honey? We have honey from my husband's grandfather that is dark and has a molasses type flavor or do you think caramelizing the dark honey would make it taste to burnt? We have 5 gallons of this honey and I am looking for recipes to use with it.
Sarah Nuernberger we usually use mostly dark honey because it gives brown colour to the biscuit and flavour.. the cake wouldn't taste burnt . Sorry for my English!

Thanks Emma for the fantastic recipe. I made this cake yesterday with 10 layers and decorated it with crumbs. It turned out a huge success. My family love love love it. My mom even said it tasted better than the one I bought from Russian restaurant 🥰 My two adjustments were to bake the layers for 8min and 20% less sugar. Thanks again for sharing this amazing recipe.

Your cake looks perfect! My family loves honey cake. But layers I make with butter (can use oil), sugar, flour, honey, soda and sour cream. Frosting I make with whipped cream, sour cream, sugar, vanilla sugar and little bit of lemon (gives freshness taste).
Ahh this is amazing!!!. All your recipes are always amazing. Seriously your recipes are the one that actually work. Otherwise most of the recipes on youtube never work for people who are not professional chef or bakers
Seriously thank you so much for your efforts

Who even watches half a video? Your one of my favourite bakers! Give me the urge to bake everything you make 🥰
Is it possible if I increase the amount of the honey a little so that i can decrease the amount of sugar? 🤔 If you were to do it how are you gonna end up measuring it?
Complimenti 😊
Gosh! You're literally the sweetest TH-cam baker I've come across. 😍💕🌸
And this is the sweetest comment! Thank you!!❤
