I think, ( again only think ) I recall reading something about policing policy of the day (Victorian) regarding observation/apprehension/arrest of a suspected criminal changed directly due to this case here in Suffolk. Please forgive my ignorance and potential inaccuracy but as I remember the change suggested police guidelines required at leased two officers should be involved in such situations, not one, or as you point out Alice an individual that might be the best capable. I think this idea was then take up nationally. It's just a foot note if I've got it right! I loved your vid, you presented Halesworth in a wonderful sunny light : hard to imagine it as anything other than the gentle place it is but I guess everywhere has a dark side. A murder every 500/600 years or so still ain't right though. I drove down Chediston street yesterday, and have done for many years; it still gives me the willies to imagine what must have happened that night in little old Halesworth If anyone would like to pay their respects to Ebenezer the grave is off Loam pit lane cemetery, a few hundred yards from the old Victorian police station (Quay street) that Ebenezer's killer was held after being arrested. ohhhhh, if you like 'The Beatles' (but that's not a requirement cos the film's more than that ) defo watch/Netflix/Dvd 'Yesterday ' film its brill! yep love ya stuff,ta
