Well done Barrett and corksport great guide, I've just rebuilt my own pump thanks to this walk through. Your equipment and customer care is second by none. Now I'm confident to upgrade my corksport HPFP internals knowing the pump itself is sound for years to come. Thanks again, awesome work 👍
Installed and put first 100miles on it today.. The results are night and day with the upgraded piston and added flow when combined with Upgraded Internals.
Im confused on the hpfp tappet/retainer clip. I know that tool to press it on is only for the corksport hpfp internals. But what to do for an auto tech internals? And say I don't have a tool to install the tappet/retainer. Do I just give it a couple of taps?
Planning to do this tomorrow, I've had an issue before where I pulled the circuit fuse and the car didn't die out. It struggled to start but just kept going afterward. its a gen 2 push start if that matters, what should I do in this situation?
Hi. Is it necessary to replace the high pressure fuel pump? If not, why? Some hpfp general manuals say that if you repair/rebuilt a hpfp you have to replace the high pressure fuel rail.

Any other tips for step 11? Spill valve does not want to come apart

Interesting so when ever the prv goes bad is it because of a bad or clogged filter?
Its possible but the spring in the PRV could also be the cause

can someone help with step 11 i couldn’t get it done
How often do you have to rebuild them ?
Most likely once but the life of the vehicle or unforeseen issues could cause you to need to do it again.
@@corksport Thank you for the response,i appreciate it 👍🏽
My mazdaspeed 3 has a leak of fuel into engine oil, bad rings on the HPFP can be the cause?
Did you figure this out man
@@Jayar410 I ended buying a used HPFP.
So does this mean we can run our ms6/3 100% e85 fuel? Given that it's properly tuned of course.
yeah this is really all you need from what i’ve heard
there’s videos about it i think you need different spark plugs too but i’m not sure if that’s necessary
@@ReeshaRacing Can you share the video? I'm curious. I'm thinking about getting back into the ms6.
I tried using both methods for step 7 but it just got squished to the spill valve. What do you recommend i do?
You can't extract the filter from the line fitting?
Or the brass ring is stuck behind?
Feel free to email us at Sales@corksport.com
@@corksport the brass ring is stuck
@@abdielperez4869 Thread the #12 screw in a bit more and see if it will grab better
@@abdielperez4869 maybe try an extractor tool as well

The fuel rail and the pump are separate components.
ultrasonic cleaner after everything disassembled?
Not necessary but wouldn't hurt
it'd be quicker to just use your hands. Did this today and all the black wiped off easily nothing needed to be scrubbed.. (OE @169,000mi)
