It's still best to pull the blue "circuit" fuse, start the car and let it die before removing the battery cable to remove excess fuel in the line. Makes it much easier and safer. 🚗💨😉👍
Just did my fuel pump internals. And apparently the circuit fuse trick to release the pump pressure does not work for gen1's. I pulled the circuit fuse, started the car and it just ran and ran. It really wasn't too my fuel spillage. Just need to have some rags handy. Even after starting the car three times to try to do the circuit fuse trick, it still wasn't too bad. Thanks Corksport for the install vid. It was great to use along side the white paper that came with the internals. 👍

The 17mm nut is it possibly for that to get loose and possibly leak fuel i recently had to take off my hpfp but it keeps leaking i make the 19mm is as tight as it can be the two plastic clips are also in place
Hey, the retainer clip for the blue fuel line ended up falling and getting lost.. is that something to worry about or is it not a big deal? sorry i’m pretty new to doing my own car stuff
it would be fine if its your first mod, its needed anyways further down if you're doing more upgrades, but if you're leaving your car bone stock, dont bother installing it
With some wrist gauges. The part is really great, and easier to install than Autotech internals due to a more custom and complete design with the included spring and installation tool. Some people will say their car feels "smoother", but if this is your first mod (as it should be on a Gen 2) it's more for peace of mind and freedom to mod away in the future knowing your pump won't give out and let the car blow it's engine into bits.
@@OGtrushalpatel I’m gonna be doing mine here this weekend as well as injector seals and cleaning the valves and injectors also changing the e slave cylinder
I bought a speed6 for about a year now came with some after market parts. I was wondering if there is a way to find out if the internal hpfp is swapped out.
There is no real way to determine for sure only based on the values from the Fuel Pressure Readings. You will want to remove the pump and inspect the internals yourself. Our internals have an octagonal bottom and a serial number. which tells you really quick. The auto techs have a dual retainer on top as well.
Question , i installed this on my car and now its ticking , however one thing i didnt to is put that metal bucket inside the fuel pump back again, if i kept it in i wouldnt let me put the fuel pump inside the housing . Is this something i need to be puting back in?
You need the lifter in the pump housing. Inspect the camshaft when you take it apart and make sure you did not damage the camshaft or the fuelpump internals.
Ok everything went fucking smooth except trying to get this pos pump back onto the car. Currently sitting on my driveway dead. The bottom fuel line is not fitting back into the pump and its extremely hard to get it to fit back in. any help please?
If those are the only mods you are going to do, then it really isn't necessary. If you change your downpipe, you will most definitely need it. The COBB AP3 is a great way to monitor your fuel flow...
+stevewk2009 False. You will definitely zzb if you don't do that. ANY mod too the motor besides a BPV you will need hpfp. Any mod that makes more hp will need it because the stock fuel internals can't keep up. fuel pressure drop ZZB. The stock fuel internals are very close to not being able to keep up stock.
Installed the CS pump internals today. This video was a great help and pulled me through a few rough spots. Thank you Corksport!
That engine bay is spotless!
Awesome work guys! Good thing I held off on buying any other HPFP, I will grab one for sure!
Installed today! Video was a huge help. Thanks CorkSport

This is a great quality video I enjoyed watching it!
Literally just installed mine tonight, this video was a big help, is there any break in period after installation?
Stunner Gunner Yeah I believe 100 mile break in period
How did you get the high pressure fuel line back on? The nut doesnt meet up with the fuel pump even after bending
The 17mm nut is it possibly for that to get loose and possibly leak fuel i recently had to take off my hpfp but it keeps leaking i make the 19mm is as tight as it can be the two plastic clips are also in place
If I crossed threaded going into the fuel pump housing and slightly damaged it, I’m basically screwed right?

Video was helpful, thanks guys
Just got done installing an hour ago using this video as reference. Thank you guys once again.
Could I use sewing machine oil to lubricate the parts? That's what I use for the bov
We have not ever tried this...
I installed mine and the cam was locking up, why would this happen?
Why not pull the fuel pump fuse, start the car and let it run until it starves on fuel so there won't be any pressure behind the fuel pump?
if the battery is disconnected, since you are working on the fuel system - which is good practice... the fuse isn't doing anything important.
Collin Klopfenstein that's what you should do, I'm not sure why they didn't do that before unhooking the battery
did you put the stock airbox around the aftermarket intake filter? that looks like a great idea for possibly keeping temps or dust down
Colin Shahan they sell a airbox for short ram intakes if I'm not mistaken
Will this help with the HPFP chatter problems?
Will this work to convert the car to e85?
yes but youll need a tune
i can’t get the fuel pump back in because it won’t aline with the main fuel line please help
Does that internals have gold inside.coz its so expensive😀😀
Only 350
what happens if you were to install this on a car with no other mods what so ever? would it be helpful? harmful? or just unnecessary? (ms6 for me)
it would be fine if its your first mod, its needed anyways further down if you're doing more upgrades, but if you're leaving your car bone stock, dont bother installing it
Hey my retainer and tappet are one ? Is this fine
how did you tighten to 8ft-lbs with a normal wrench? also has anyone got any feedback to say bout this part is it good ? does the car fill better?
With some wrist gauges.

So what do you lubricate with oil and what do you lubricate with fuel 👀🙈
Just lubricate the whole thing with oil
Do I need to install this if my only mods are short ram intake and cat back exhaust ?
It’s an essential mod regardless. Have you still got the car 6 years later lol?

Can you shoot us an email to sales@corksport.com? That will be a better avenue to communicate and help you!

whats the lph?

Did you, eventually, get that fuel line back on?
Yeah i did, i had a leak at first but took the pump back out and put it in and it fixed it somehow lol probably misaligned a little idk
bro how did u do it im fucking dying tryna get it on
Should probably just buy a spare pump already fitted and then swap them out
My car didnt turn on and white smoke after install, help.. !!
don't buy shit! dumbass
The smoke maybe too much oil and take it out and see what you did wrong disassemble it and try again
Why is my car running rich after this😵🤦🏿♂️
Better than lean man, maybe it needs a tune or new spark plugs
Don’t even stress, most likely coz you’re not tuned
Do I need to install this if my only mods are short ram intake and cat back exhaust ?
