No argument from me . . I've always thought that these were the best looking of the Chevy trucks - maybe even better looking than the '70 C10 I had for twenty years and had it restored.
I love these Trucks. My father bought me a 1992. And I'm currently restoring it. The 454 SS was my favorite in the early 2000s. So I can't wait to drive it finally.
Great review! Found myself a 1 owner 1992 k2500 with the same 2 tone blue paint AND same running board. How cool is that ! Really love driving it, single cab with 60/40 split seats. Under 100k, built in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada plant. Even the light bulbs are stamped 1992 and still working!! Wouldn't buy a new truck, too expensive and hard to fix at home.
Love these old trucks. You are correct about it being a truck for hauling and towing. My 2023 Silverado is nice but i really dont want a big computer screen. Just 4 wheel drive and a V8.
Where did you get 213HP from? Also, the 454 was a regular option in the C/K 2500 & 3500. The pre-95 interior was a big comfort upgrade from the previous generation as was the suspension. It was a response to people using these vehicles for more than just payload and towing. It was a huge success that led to further refinement, which was an even bigger success from the mid 90's to today. The GMT400 series really kinda paved the road for where we are today with pick ups and full size SUVs.
When those OBSs were first introduced in 1988, they only came in plain & new extended cab pickup models at the time because the crew cab pickup & SUV models with the previous square body design were still in production up through 1991.
Yeah I forgot to mention that! Because I thought it was odd that the Ram brand rolls over their older trucks but I found out in researching this that Chevy did that all those years ago!
My uncle bought an '88 brand new. To me it was awesome, and I was jealous of my cousins who got to ride in it all the time. I think that the advertising at the time called it the "big bear" truck or something like that.
My wife and I bought our 1990 k1500 silverado new and to date the odo reads 524,685 miles. One tone smoke blue metallic exterior with the blue interior. The 90 still does a lot of the daily driver duties during the week and weekends. After 34 years we're glad we bought it. 🫡🫡
Thats a beautiful obs but she sure isnt a square body. That was the previous gen that ran from 73-87. Cateye are my favorite then the obs then square body. Mainly because cateye were coming out when I got out of school so they were the hottness at the time.
I’d like to request a prayer. I don’t view myself as very Christian but I want to get involved and do my reading of the Bible. I’m moving in to a new home with my partner and we’re having a child soon, I hope all goes well. I also have a ‘98 Chevy K1500 and I agree these trucks are awesome. Thank you 😊
I know some people love these trucks but I can’t stand how they look or drive. They’re just kinda soft and wallowy riding and the styling is not for me. I’m more of a 2nd gen ram guy when it comes to trucks from the 90’s.

Love my 93! Almost 189k and still running strong!
Best looking pickup era I’ve personally seen and driven! 1000% agree with you👍🏻
Pray for my move to southwest harbor Maine I’m in the coast guard and going their. I got a 1990 obs Chevy and I love it

Nice review of the C/K series. They are great trucks.
Yes they are! Thank you Donald
Still have my 1992 GMC 2wd short bed with the “sport suspension package” and factory 3:73 gears!

Somewhere online haha, it’s been awhile since I did this video.
I was waiting for this one!
Such a fun one to film

As a person who’s newest car is a 97 obs I have no desire to ever get a new vehicle. Just picked up a 90 suburban to match
Peep the 2 XC90's in the background 😆
77 k10 from Cali checkin in!

I love to hear that!
@AlphaShark Yeah, we do, too. No truck payments in 34 years.👍👍🤙🤙👊👊✌️✌️
These trucks are comfortable and have decent technology but not too much technology good enough to be a daily driver

Haha yes the Cateyes are everyone’s favorite that’s why I made the joke in the beginning

I will pray Jonathan, if you're interested in getting into scripture, I'd suggest starting in either the Gospel of John, or the Book of James!
OBS = ol Bob Seger
Ooooooo Like A Rock
Very decent commentary until you got to the Xtian part. 🙄
@@SonnyThomasShow1 thank you!

That’s fair!
Not sure you could have picked a worse truck if you tried 😂
