really like the flow of this one! Especially the way you were able to keep the video show the simultaneous play without looking chaotic. I imagine it is an element that is not necessarily easy to show without getting messy.
Seems they removed the "take that" cards and added more mechanisms. A suitable upgrade.

Great playthrough, guys ! Shem says that 70 points is a great score, 60 a good score, but he doesn’t say anything about 49 and 38 😜 I’ve played only 2 solo games, finished with 38 and 36… while the automa scores more than 60 points 😬
Fantastic job on the how to play portion of the video. Really enjoyed the visuals that accompanied the voice over how to play, one of the better how to play style videos I have seen. Please keep doing more like that.

I really appreciate the use of Bangarang as a descriptive word by Mike. Well played.
Here in New England the word slushie is in regular use. I personally use it as a generic term for frozen drinks (e.g. Slurpee), whereas a slush is something you would use a spoon to eat (similar to Italian Ice, like Richie's Slush).
I definitely thought you were just being cute saying Randi for taking a random card until I saw the name of the card 🤣
Hell yeah this is a great 2nd edition. They kept the stuff i enjoyed from the original and made everything better. Only downside is the box size. Means ill need to get both the raiders big box and the explorers big box 😢
I keep saying I don't need more Garphill games (about two games ago)......but this looks real good.🤩

We definitely have some games that one of us likes more than the other but since we came into the hobby together (and we’re just similar in nature) we like largely the same games

Also here in Maryland we call them slushies. Also also shaved ice aren't slushies/icees/slurpies, they're snow cones.

12:06 I thought the townsfolk abilities could only be used once tucked under a building and the only benefit you'd get from discarding is the symbol above the red X.
You can use them in three ways, by discarding them for the red x ability, by playing them for the ability in their brown banner and then discarding them, or by tucking them. So they essentially have 2 discard abilities

Does look nice, reminds me of It's a Wonderful World. I wonder if the limited interaction would make it less interesting for me though, as the drafting seems like a smaller part of the game, as there are so many ways to draw cards, is there any other interaction aside from the tracks?
Nope that’s it. You could hate draft cards but I doubt that would happen much

Like the new version of the game. might need to back it . got some of the references . Slushies / icy's / Frozen coke /Frozen fanta flavours . from down under (Australia). mostly kids say frozen drink. then we ask what flavour . Whats your go to flavour ?

There’s no player interaction and stuff so it works great at 2. Didn’t feel it was lacking at all
I wonder if they will redux the rest of the North Sea trilogy. Raiders could be left alone aside from including a solo and adjustment of the player count like scythia
We haven’t heard anything to suggest this will happen but of course we aren’t an official source
I vaguely remember them saying in one of their streams that they wouldn't be updating Explorers but don't quote me on that

Shipwrights was consider by many the weackest of the trilogy by a lot, how will you classified it now against his older brothers?
We never played the original one so can’t compare to that but now this is right up to the standard of all the other designers by Garphill

Yep 100% other than hate drafting cards and contention for the hero cards on the tracks
