So this is everything i love about endless winter but in way shorter and unrestrictiv player count. Thank god I didnt miss this one! just a slight minus in theme in comparisson for me
Shipwrights redux, raiders or architects for you guys? I'm very much drawn to all three, but have the money for one. And our tastes seem to be rather alike, so I'm curious what would've been your decision.
As an owner of all the Garphill games, and fan of them, I'd go Architects. Whichever you get, between Raiders or Architects, get the two expansions, they are worth it.
This sounds very very similar to It's A Wonderful World, even more similar than 7Wonders imho. Except for being a fleet-building-themed and more functions/effects on the cards,
Just played my first game a couple nights ago. I think they biggest thing its missing is player interaction. Besides the drafting and the tracks theres no interaction. The solitaire simul turns really takes away from you having a cool combo because no one is really watching.
I tried searching but wasn't able to find an answer to my question: what's the difference between Shipwrights of The North Sea and Shipwrights of The North Sea Redux? Thank you!
Hey! The original game was the first game this company released so they felt like it needed a redo and so they changed a lot of things and improved them and now you have the Redux version.
@@baska- Hello! Apart for the theme these are completely different games. Original Shipwrights are heavily player versus player fight at least by GarpHill games standards. In Redux players interaction are nearly nill.
7 wonders of the North Sea I know it’s against the bgg consensus but it seems harder than raiders of the North Sea, looking at icons on many cards all the time.
I love the look of the art but after watching some playthroughs it looks...meh, that said if a friend bought it I'd give it a go and I may well like it.
It won't wow you from the playthroughs that's for sure. There's nothing too fancy, it all comes down to the card choices and the thrill of making those tough decisions. That's about it
Great video as always! I'm really interested in trying this out, sounds like a game I would enjoy
Worth trying out for sure!

I like Raiders more than Architects, which felt like it was doing a bit too much for its weight.

I recommend Raiders of Scythia, although it is quite a bit heavier than Shipwrights.

I almost did a spit take when he said that.

I have to check that "7 Woders" game! 😂 great video as always!
It's quite an exclusive game... might not be easy to find :D

@@BoardGameHangover thanks, you're the GOAT

This was already high on my list of games to get and after listening to you both I think it’s at the top.
Great video! Very informative. Thanks! Looks like my style of game. Keep the videos coming.
Looks good, but i agree needs a bit more interaction
7 wonders of the North Sea

Haha, as soon I heard drafting and resource managament, I knew that it will be at least fantastic for JT 😂
I'm a man with simple tastes :D
This game reminded me of Newton. Anyone eles with similar feel?
I was thinking the same indeed! It's a mix of Newton and a Wonderful World from me.
What's better shipwrights of the north sea or shipwrights of the north sea redux??
For sure the Redux version. As the original was the first game from this company and they have completely changed and improved it :)
Thanks! [Of course i purchased the wrong one..! ] Is rudex available for purchase yet?

You were doing the drafting wrong based on the games rules for two-players. :)
No worries - we played it right. Just when explaining the rules we don't go into intricacies not to make it too long.
Love the review, thx
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed
You know they do videos about a hobby with people that spend a lot of money when you see how many of us are patreons hahhaha
No interest in another multiplayer solo game
Understandable. This is a very solitaire game
But I am! :)
Very well done. Now if I can only find room in my “ where you pull games out of”. 🪤
We have a similar problem... Feels like we need another one of those
@@BoardGameHangover Yes. If the Vikings can build ships, I guess we can assemble IKEA shelves. 🤣
