5:04 Is definitely the most “liminal” picture. I reminds me of those childhood memories (when you were about 3 - 5) where you were in someplace, playing or sleeping, and you saw something. You can’t remember the exact details, but all you remember is confusion and fear. All you thought to yourself was “I want to go home.”
I remember seeing a giant shadowy figure (around 9-10 ft, so tall it has to bend down) in the corner of my room in the middle of the day when I was running around my house. It happened when I was 5, the thing kept appearing until I was around 8.
@Spoon97 I seen the same thing. Except mine was average sized, and very sharp, not like a smoky shadow or anything but like a physical appearance of a dark humanoid man with no features. It was watching me from the end of the kitchen hallway, just there peeking from the corner. And as soon as I saw it, it yanks it’s head back as if it didn’t want to get caught. It left me traumatized from the ages of 5-18. And since then I’ve been scared of closets because I’d think there would be a ghost in there. I was TERRIFIED of ghosts because of that incident, even as a teen. Some days I just didn’t want to sleep in fear of seeing something like that again. Now at 26 years old, I grew out of it. But I know what I saw was deadass real. It wasn’t no human man neither cuz I was literally home alone, with the doors locked. And At night too…
5:04 I think this might be the creepiest at least for me, because nothing in it looks fake, and just imagine, you're a child, playing on the floor next to the foot of your bed, then you hear the door creak open. You turn your head to look towards the door, and you're met with a goat, standing at the threshold of your bedroom door, just staring at you. Your eyes and the goat's eyes are locked onto each other for hours and hours, but it feels like a millenia, you keep eye contact and never blink to make sure whatever it is, doesn't move.

5:04 Imagine its late at night, you hear a voice saying, "look behind you." the rooms dimly lit, and you see the goat standing at you. You hear something on your window, and you turn around and its gone.
5:08 an old memory resurface from depth. It's 2011. Early summer vacation. You are at the house of that old aunt who live in the hinterland of an italian city; grey 12 story buildings, fields, american styled schools and small houses share the space. It's about 3 PM. It's early afternoon but everything feels sleepy and dark like 3 AM. Your mom wants you to sleep but you aren't, it's one of the first time in your life you don't do it. In a room you find some toys from early 90s. It's like pre history for you, but you play with them while everyother is chill in their room. All of a sudden you turn to the door and see a goat. You watch it. It's not an entity or a monster, it's an horribly normal goat. There's nothing of paranormal or unexplainable: everything is just uncannily real and rational. You would want to scream but you feel you simply can't so you simply stand here while the goat slowly turns back and disappear into unknown
The one at 5:31 can go straight to hell I think that’s my worst fear just look outside the window and there’s a figure except that’s a full grown man Lego looking thing
Hated that one. Only one that made me wince. Maybe it’s the fact he’s wearing a suit so he looks like an ordinary person, but then you see the glowing eyes and the unsettling smile. Not to mention, he’s right in front of your bedroom window. Creepy
That exact thing happened to my mom when she was a teenager. She was an angry shithead back then (from what I heard) and she grabbed a rake and chased the guy with it.
I just had an insane breakthrough… liminal spaces are basically just the uncanny valley in environmental form… something familiar enough to ground you in there mentally but just off enough to set off your self preservation instincts
@@Pietro.52 Yep, it is satan. The medieval Christian culture represents satan in the form of a goat, even if the Bible doesn’t give any detail of satan's real look.
5:03 This scared me the most. Behind the appearance of this goat there may be someone otherworldly or even the demon himself hiding. And this whole atmosphere of loneliness adds even more horror.
Having finally got around to watching Twin Peaks, it's crazy how much Lynch pioneered this style of imagery. The way he practically turns that landing and stairwell in the Palmer home into its own character really gave me those "regular-looking space, but there's something incredibly wrong about it, like you're in a dream that is about to turn into a nightmare" vibes. It's amazing how much horror you can instil in a viewer without even introducing any kind of perceivable or recognizable threat, purely with the use of camera angles, lighting, sound etc. I mean don't get me wrong, the series has a few jumpscares, but the way he manages to build so much tension out of a fucking STAIRWELL and a CEILING FAN is impressie.
5:04 I swear, goats can be cute also be unsettling. Something about that picture, it just doesn’t sit right. Seeing something as random as a goat in out of its natural environment and into the comfort of your own bedroom, it’s freaky.
These images bring a somewhat Nostalgic feel to them, and many look to be captured in the 90’s or early 2000’s. It’s the nostalgia and way the image was taken that brings familiarity to the scenario. The camera angles, The lighting, shade, ect, brings the sense of that familiar feeling you have with these photos, maybe memories of our old house as a kid, or our grandparents house. For an example, it would be memories like you getting up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water, and being a kid, you naturally get scared when alone at night. So all of these attributes, the lonely feel, the nostalgia, and the familiar setting is what makes these images feel very unnerving, from the eerie type of memories we had when we were kids.
The one at 5:29 is DEFINITELY the creepiest for me, the unnatural shape of the man creeps me out. Imagine waking up at midnight bc you had the feeling someone was staring at you, you look outside and see THAT, i would wanna commit if i saw that
One time i went into an abandoned mall, it had been abandoned for about a decade, but there were still things like those toy vending machines and childrens rides that cost a quarter. Almost all of the entrances to the stores were blocked off by those sets of bars that are pulled down from the ceiling. The ones you could get into still had fisplay shelves and occasional products that used to be sold there. The signs for the stores remained untouched as well. I walked to the center of the mall, sat on the floor, and played fingerstyle music on my steel string acoustic guitar. The way it echoed through the emptiness and my voice bounced back to me felt amazing. I've never felt such a sense of familiarity, belonging, and freedom. A few months later the mall was torn down, and i was deeply saddened by that. It was like walking into the 90s from the current era.
5:18 is easily the worst for me. I used to live in texas and my bedroom looked exactly like this down to almost every detail. Something about seeing it like this is so disturbing honestly
The thumbnail actually reminds me of a dream turned nightmare I had a long time ago. It was new years and I was at my aunt's house. A lot of family was there and we were all having fun and laughing and chatting up until I had gone upstairs and come back down. The house was completely empty, and it was morning, with the warm sun shining through the windows. The sky was completely white and it was so quiet that even my own breathing and heartbeat were completely inaudible. I wandered the house for a bit until I had found that the grand piano in the music room was replaced with a large black door with what seemed to be a bronze statue of Baphomet perched above the frame. The door wasn't attached to a wall or anything, but I knew it went somewhere in a House of Leaves sort of way. I decided not to enter and as I backed away, I heard the front door open and before I could see who opened it, I woke up with a huge rush of fear overwhelming me. I still have no idea what any of that could've meant
I feel like liminal spaces relate to how we viewed the world as toddlers. Everything was so much bigger in any space our small forms occupied. That familiar feeling that can sometimes be considered "scary" and other times "like home" fits in the nostalgia of a memory we all have in common with being little tots in a big scary and intriguing world.
5:22 is the most terrifying for me because my house is literally like that. Like exactly. I went out of my room just to check the hallway only to realize it's exactly the same
@ArielS-lg6vf relatable like dude I hate it, they are so annoying like Donald Trump asking for the Pass (that kind of pass) also like Biden asking for Ice Cream
5:45 I feel like this is equally unsettling. It feels safe. It feels tranquil. But the more time you spend the more you realize that something’s off. The music is just slightly off here, it’s a false sense of safety.
I had a crazy discovery recently that is the most liminal thing I've personally ever experienced. When I was kid our town mall had a basement floor that was 100% dedicated to being a children play area similar to like a Chucky cheese. It was called bumpers and it was a staple of the mall until 2012 when they covered it up. I had always assumed they filled it with concrete. WRONG. appearantly, just under the floor of the mall, the husk of bumpers lays in the dark. I don't think they even removed the children's toys or anything. So those pics you see of empty daycares with the happy big toys, that's just under there all the time now I guess. Very creepy

5:03 This scared me the most. Behind the appearance of this goat there may be someone otherworldly or even the demon himself hiding. And this whole atmosphere of loneliness adds even more horror.
The devil takes the form of a black goat…
Rob Zombie would be proud.

I love the inclusion of infinity frequencies' between two worlds album cover

The use of yume nikki music in the 'creepy' section was a good idea. as a lot of yume nikki music has a sort of ominous feel to it.

Which particular music piece is this?
Never mind, I learned it
One time i went into an abandoned mall, it had been abandoned for about a decade, but there were still things like those toy vending machines and childrens rides that cost a quarter.
Awww....what a cute goat!
The lamb: you're pointless.
The goat: 38 burried. 0 found.
1:32 the photo hits close too me. Because my family still has the cameras that shows the date of when the picture was taken.

Hey man i just happened to come across your channel and i know u posted this 9months ago but the intro to this video is sick.👍🏼🖤🤯
Yeah I kinda miss this intro lol.
I absolutely love 4:43.

5:45 I feel like this is equally unsettling. It feels safe. It feels tranquil. But the more time you spend the more you realize that something’s off. The music is just slightly off here, it’s a false sense of safety.
5:05 one of the scariest images i have ever seen. I dont know why this scares me but everything feels wrong
Very creepy
In my opinion, the goat one would be a little funny depending on whether or not you have a backyard or something.
