    This is excellent weather!!!! Sold my snowmobiles 5 years ago and started buying dirt bikes. Couldn't be happier. I've had not one time so far this winter when i couldn't hit the trails for some good ol' brap brap. On top of that, at this rate summer will be here even sooner and I'll be on the water cruising in the boat. Hooray. While winter and snow is always a gamble, one thing for certain is summer always comes. Can't wait!!!

    I believe it was the 2015 season that is the most comparable in recent memory. It was my first season in BC and just brutal 😂

      El Nino is every 4-6 years. Gotta roll with it. In the ‘80’s, it meant getting out on the windsurfer sooner. 😂

    Surprised that the conditions are so bad so far north went to Killington vt and it was almost a pow day

      We had a pow day yesterday in the alpine! It’s been too warm down lower.

    As someone who has skied Whistler since the early 70s, that was some of the most obnoxious skiing I have witnessed. Bragging about scaring other skiers is a true punk mentality, not the mark of a pro. I have nothing against going fast since I used to race downhill, but tucking down a busy run full of unpredictable skiers is not brave, it just shows a complete disregard for putting someone else in the hospital for months of rehab if they are lucky enough to recover. You did not miss the other skiers because of skill, it was just dumb luck that none of them made a last-minute move you did not expect and would not have had the time or room to react to. You are a strong skier used to taking risks which is fine as long as you are the only one at risk of injury. You can't let your ego write checks that other people may have to pay for. I am not saying you need to slow down, just that you need to be a whole lot smarter about when and how you open it up. A couple of times you commented that there were too many people on the run and it would have been wise to slow it down, but egos are a dangerous thing. Being punks about scaring other people is not the mark of a pro or a leader in the skiing community. Part of being a pro is showing other people, especially kids who may look up to you, how and when to take risks without exposing others to those risks.

      bro rlly spent 5min writing this whole paragraph just cuz of a pretty mellow straight line, he didn't even come close to hitting anyone lmao

    • @misterfunnybones
      @misterfunnybones 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      First of all it's Creekside Dave Murray Downhill (a black diamond run) & downloading is recommended for everyone, but particularly beginners & intermediates, but beyond that, the lens he's using makes things look more dramatic & dangerous than reality. I'm not arguing that straight-lining every run is acceptable, but I'll point out that on more occasions that I can mention beginners & intermediates access terrain that is well beyond their skill level.

    This season has been a total nightmare so far snow wise. Oh well it is what it is and some skiing is 100% better than no skiing IMO. The snow will return at some point and I'm guessing we might see some huge spring pow or something. Spring pillows anyone weeee lol

    After coming to Whistler 7 times, the hotel (who I won't mention for their sake) went from charging me $190 per night last year to asking for $420 this year. First time I didn't book a trip to Whistler in almost 10 years and it turns out it may have been fortunate. I'm sure I would still have had fun but crazy conditions this year.

      I hate to break it to you but yes the climate is getting warmer through all parts of the world period and it isn't just el Nino. And this is coming from very conservative right-wing individual who is against a carbon Tax. I support electric vehicles and I support Lowering our Carbonfootprint on the world but not at the expense of lowering our standard of living.

      Luckily I cut the chance to Experience Whistler in all its glory in the early 2000's. Ive skiied Whistler in 2002, 2003 and 2005. From Feb through April. Ive experinced powder waist deep, so deep in fact that skiing was impossible in the Alpine.
