I was there several years ago. I wanted to go to the museum but it was closed. It was at the beginning of November. I will never forget the bakery in the subway that made fresh cherry streusel it was the best pastry I ever tasted. Loved Budapest and all it’s history. Want to go back and find the monument where my great uncles names are who died in WW1.
Dear Gail, I believe the monument you are looking for is in the center of the Heros's Square. The choice of the location is quite meaningful, as those fighting for their countries are true heroes indeed. Really hope you will be able to get into the museum next time. :) Thanks for the tip, I will look out for the pastry when I am around. :)
Heroes square is amazing and city park as well. I'm looking forward for the opening of the neprajzi museum.
Thank you! So do we. Can't wait! :)
