    Thank you so much i did two calendars one for a wedding calendar and another for a Christmas calendar. I made mine just a little different, I made mine into a calendar checklist tracker. Love how detailed you explain yiur tutorials. Your voice is very calming 😊

    Thank you soo much for the tutorial. Would it be possible to create a tutorial on how to keep the page (note section) blank when changing the date while keeping the previous notes saved to their corresponding section (date)?

      @@spreadsheetlife I have checked it and it was very helpful. However, I wanted to learn how to write directly on the corresponding date rather than entering the date and task on a different sheet. Would it be possible to do a tutorial on that? Thank you for your help.

      Gotcha! Unfortunately, it would not be easy to set the spreadsheet up in a way where you can type the information directly into the cells below each date, and then have these cells also change when you change the dates. It might be possible to build something like this through the implementation of Google Apps Script, but doing something like this is a little beyond the scope of the videos I'd like to create for this channel, at least at this time.
      I try my best to keep the videos balanced between beginner friendly and also complex enough so even seasoned spreadsheet users can learn new things too. I hope this all makes sense, and I'm sorry that I can't provide the exact solution you are looking for.

      Yes, you can create this same template in Excel. A few things will be a little bit different like the conditional formatting. But mostly, it's the same.

    Hello. Thank you for this video. I was able to create this template on Excel with no issues (other than the difference with conditional formatting). I had a question though. How do I make it so when I switch between the months, it will only display the events for that particular month vs having the events always show no matter what month you choose?

      You would have to take a different approach to pull off what you're describing unfortunately. My advice would be to copy the worksheet for new months, and then store your appointments on each relevant tab. I hope this helps!

      Unfortunately, whenever you change the month or year, only the dates will change. Anything that you type into the cells below the dates will not change.
      If you'd like to learn how to add events that also change on the calendar whenever you update the month and year, then I advise watching Part 2 of this video. 😊👍

    Hi, your videos are really good, but i cannot find anything near what im trying to do and wondered if you could help? i need a dynamic calendar that can be accessed by 20+people but so they cannot edit each others inputs. the dynamic calender can then per day set that data to another sheet which is locked by 'Admin' and can they see all data collectively. is this possible?

    i have a question. if i will put my schedules there by the month of july and i have another schedules in next month. so in b2 is july with my schedules and if i want to change the month in b2 into august then why does my schedules in july is still the same in august. how to fix these. thankyou

    hello! Need Help! If i add an event somewhere in January it shows up in the same exact place for all the other months! How can i ensure it only shows up in January and nowhere else??

      That's a good question! Here is my suggestion. Make 11 copies of the worksheet. Then you can set up each tab to be a different month, and add appointments accordingly. I hope this makes sense!

      You make a copy of the worksheet, and use each worksheet as a different month. I hope this helps.

      @@spreadsheetlife Oh, no, let me try to explain it better. I'm a college student and I have multiple classes a day in a school week. For 2023, I got a template for a regular calendar and I'd manually type under each day the classes I didn't go to, and did a simple sum under each month for each of my classes to keep track of my attendance for the semester. The thing is, I have different classes in one day, and sometimes I might go to one, but skip another, and I'm not sure how I'd put that into the formulas. I tried yesterday for four hours to fit your attendance tracker inside this one, but I really don't know how to. Did it make sense?

      Ok. I think I understand. Unfortunately, I do not know a way to dynamically display the value of the active cell in another cell without adding Google App Script code to the spreadsheet. However, you can change the way dates are displayed in any cell by changing the number formatting. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer to your question.

      So when you change the month and year, it will only update the date values. The information that you add in the cells below the dates with remain the same. I'm sorry I don't make that more clear in the video.

      Whenever you change the Year and Month, only the dates will change. Anything you write in as notes will stay in those cells. I'm sorry I did not clarify this in the video.

      Are you asking about the formula that begins at 8:20? If so, you will see that that WEEKDAY function is used several times throughout this formula, but only one argument is entered each time. The outer function in the formula is the IF function, which accepts three arguments. Perhaps this is where the confusion is for you?
