- Getting the buggy ready with redesigned front tube work, new fuel tank, rock sliders, repaired front axle and of course new paint scheme. We had to get the buggy all ready for W.E.ROCK in Farmington New Mexico September 8-10 at Chokecherry Canyon and of course Flex, Rocks, and Rollovers 24 Hell and Back Trail Challenge. Asli Trailhero is coming up soon in St. George, so lots of events we need to have it ready for. So here is the work we did and some testing we have done so far. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Shawn in a loin cloth running through the forest was an image I didn't need, but of course, for some reason, I picture him also giggling while doing that🤣🇺🇲
That part had me laughing also when he says I'm not a real Indian lol. Shawn's laugh cracks me up every time lol
@@bradleymadosh911- he's not lying. He's a Native American; not an Indian.

This channel is so nice to watch, down to earth , no bs , no scripting, real friendship...
Yup
Up LBN
Well said. Amen! And no cheesy music either.
@@desertdog2008 forgot to mention the real noises, crap music definitely ruins content most of the time, . Thanks for bringing it up😃
Well stated!!
Rory, Mike and Shawn. You always brighten the day💚❣️
Well said , they make the shop go well
They're very good at not getting their panties in a wad over too much
no kidding, it's like hanging out with buddies in the garage
@@John-uo1qf
At least what we see on camera! 🙂
All joking aside, these 3 Amigos always make me laugh’n.
Keep us posted on a new engine for TrailMater! I'm sure you've been extremely busy with the shop move and getting ready for the upcoming event.
Keep us posted on the loin cloth too!
Motor swap just dropped
Rory's logic:
Cut the axle tube while still mounted on the buggy? Yes.
Install and weld a truss on top of the axle? Why not...
Cut it up, weld and do everything without removing the axle shaft first? Absolutely!!!
Do all of this and hit it out of the park. That's why you guys are the best!!!🤙
Time to add banana sliders to the top sides of the cage 😊
😂😂😂 you are right tho
Your friend Joe has some awesome driving skills.
What I love most about these guys is that they authentic. Not a one of them could act to save their lives. That is so refreshing to me. I know that nothing truly is as it seems, but I think Mike and Sean really love Rory like family and he, them in return. I can't imagine going to work and my boss treating me like we are just buddies hanging out and having a good time helping folks. Thank you for making me feel blessed, guys!
The buggy looks pretty sharp in green. Sounds like you have some serious rock crawling in your future. You guys are always fun to watch. And no Shawn, no loincloth thank you very much.
🤣Shawn!!! As soon as you said it, the visual🤣
Shawn in a loin cloth.....me eyes are burning now Thank you very much 🤣✌
Who doesn't love the Red Green Show.
we used to double up the pan to be twice as deep then solder or braze a heater core in the lower pan. there are some holes between the pans so fluid can get in the bottom pan and be cooled by the engines coolant. ads volume and 180 degree coolant works great keeping the trans fluid cooler. We learned this from mud trucks. trans get hot mud cakes around them.
Love the paint, the "irish" upgrades, the view on the trail and the skill of the driver on the trails.
It’s great when your boss helps and you are using the shop and tools. Being friends is best.
Why is is so satisfying to watch Rory climb a container to flex the buggy? Doesn't make any sense. Still so much fun.
I love the new color. Yes... Loin cloth for Hell and Back
The best recovery guy in the desert!
Yes rory is 😊
Born in 1956 and this is how I see things.
Top sheet...yes.
Over the top sheet we had a Bedspread usually made of knitted wool yarn. (Thus the need for top sheet. The wool could be scratchy or you could be allergic.) OR you had a Patchwork quilt made by your Great Grandmother or other family member. More modern days came the store bought comforter with fiberfill. As a kid, our house had a coal fired boiler for heat so there could be a 30⁰ difference between night and morning. The top sheet also helped keep in the heat. All of this "stuff" on top of you, combined, we call The covers.
Well I call that a 100% success! You guys constantly amaze me the places that you can go with your buggies! 👍👊👊
Channeling your inner Tim Cameron with the green paint, at least that rock didn't kill the buggy again!
I wish I could go to Rory’s school of welding and fabrication! 🇺🇸💪
lol the red green quote at the end
I find it amusing watching your "minions" joking around. Good luck hunting guys.
Rock crawling is a new world to me, so I appreciate you showing what you do and explaining why you do it. It’s amazing to watch you drive over obstacles on the trail that might even be a bit of a challenge on foot. Great job! Best of luck in the competition🥇
With you in 24Hellandback, and Bleepin on an onX off-road adventure!!! Super stoked! Thanks for being you. Be safe.
Quite the test drive AND those two at the end...what a couple of CLOWNS!!! 🤣
Now Rory has his very own Green Banana! One cannot overlook the lineage of the original Banana and the infusion of the Banana sliders.
The 24 run is going to be great with you and Fab Rats!!!
Shawn and Mike's "Twig and Berries Club!" No dew rags, just gang color loincloths! 😂😂
All this good content and ppl can't go the extra mile and smash the like button? It's not asking a lot, and makes it to where they can get monetary sponsors to help support the channel so you can keep getting FREE CONTENT. Do better ppl. Love the vids Rory!!
Thanks buddy.
That paint color is called " Shamrocks & Shenanigans " ☘☘☘
Love it.
Maybe Shawn(sp?) could wear a headband with an eagle feather, instead of the loincloth. He should have a home made bow, quiver and arrows also. 🤣🤣🤣
Nice nod to Red Green. Next maybe you can do an installment of The Handyman Corner.
It's the perfect paintjob.
It's going to get scuffed soon anyway, and until it does, it sets Robbie's OCD tingling more than Spider-Man's Spidersense during a crime wave.
I am so happy and grateful you decided to do this challenge! Keep up the amazing work 👏 buggy looks badass!
23:25 haaaha don't forget the ground black pepper haaha can't wait for the 24 hours ordeal
Ohhh daang brother the green is awesome
🗣️ Loin Cloth 🗣️ Loin Cloth 🗣️ Loin Cloth 😂 Do it Shawn 😁
Beeing relaxed, nice, funny and talented. You do that, thanks for filming 😊🎉🥇🍍🧨
Rory you an Shawn and Mike pls bring trailmater back to life. Really sad vid I watched in the last one. Love that ol truck
Loincloth Shawn to the rescue! 🤪🤚 How!
Thumbs up for the paint job
Well look here. This channel is knocking on the door of two hundred thousand subscribers!!! Congrats .
MIGHTY VIDEO ALMOST 200,000 SUBS WELL DONE TO ALL
I really dig this channel. You guys do some pretty amazing things both on the trail and in the shop. And all while having a great time together. Very entertaining and sometimes educational. I have been watching your older videos and besides the better quality video of the newer ones, not much has changed. The Rory in the first videos the exact same Rory we see today. My wife watched the video where you broke the tow truck a few days ago with me. She said well next time he'll know better. He may not do better, but he will know better. She has said that about me a few times too. So I must be in good company,
the buggy got a sweet new paint job, banana sliders, and battle scars. and the crew is being great as always. good video. thanks for uploading.
When you speed up the shop work it looks like your bustin ass when your not. 😂
Maybe let Mike put some banana sliders on the top rails so that they slide off the rocks faster. Great driving Rory. Give Lilli a hug for me please. God Bless you all.
Shawn, you're a real Indian doing what you like to do. I say keep at it. You work with Rory and Mike and they have great attitudes. The Creator put you there fellow Anishinabek.
All 3 of you guys I watch and I enjoy the outstanding work!!
Buenos Freaking Tardes Trail Mater Crew ! Its been a minute since I threw down some comments.
Rory , the buggy looks so epic with the zombie green over black ! I LOVE the upgrades and your dudes shop ingenuity is truly next level !
Kudos to Justin for his ever excellent editing ! The audio is on point and the picture quality is crisp ! I freaking love all of you dudes( Shawn & Mike too.
Make a 2 or 3 hour video. Heck I'd pay $20 bones to watch it. Your channel that A W E S O M E !
LASTLY, CONGRATULATIONS ON SURPASSING 200K SUBS !
YOU DUDES DONT JUST ROCK YOU FREAKING BOULDER !
BIG REGARDS FROM ARIZONA!
The competition better look out on the 24 hr challenge. Rory will kick some ass. 👍🇺🇸
The Buggy did good. Maybe the next time let Shawn drive and Rory spot. But " No Loin Cloth ".
Sorry Shawn. ( Ha Ha )
Buggy looks great in its new colours! I like the choice of the flat-black between the green. It's performing great too.
Thank god you guys came along,
This has been a hell of a week,
Holy shit man. ❤
"In case you need your own banana slider at home"
HAHAHA HAHAHA HAHAHA
Doesn't everyone,
Hahaha 🤣
Matt, I feel your pain. You’re tired and frustrated but worst of all is the feeling of being the leader who got everyone in this mess! Way to maintain your composure, keep moving forward and prove that no situation is insurmountable. You learned a lot along the way and everyone made it home safe 🫡
Buggy looks cool in its new livery, war wounds make it look even cooler.
199k subscribers ,,,,,,,,,,,,, stay humble because you guys are fun to watch ,,,,,,,,,, Awesome as always ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Your team is the best and most original by far!!! Rory: It only has to last for 24 hours!!🤣 The buggy looks great with the new paint and sure I'm with Rory behind the wheel, it will be one of the best for 24 Hell & Back!!😎💪
I know it's a old video but really enjoyed it...when you fell in that ravine ,I yelled oohhh and scared my wife your friends Joe and Amanda are really good
Sixtieth from Kentucky 👊🏻💪🏻
Well I'm impressed!!
NICE CLEAN SHOP!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!!
I was thinking the other day when you got the new white wrecker and have ol’ blue. Paint trail mater red-then you got red white and blue. America!
Love the new colors big thumbs up to the peckers. 👍👍👍👍✌✌
shawn in a loin cloth talk about naked and afraid lol nice job on the buggy looks like it works well
Great job putting that buggy together - looks like a winner! Thanks for taking us along......
Totally digging the new buggy paint job!
Like the green on the buggy.
Look at Mike quoting Red Green !
In the buggy... the noise from that cooling fan behind your head would drive me nutz.
I got totally freaked out when you were cutting the axle pipe, without guard on the grinder..
A friend of mine cut a pipe without guard, the pipe caught the wheel and sent the grinder with the wheel first straight *IN* his throat, luckely he wasn't alone in the shop, the ambulance helicopter came and picked him up wich saved his life.
Take care guys.
Cheers from Northern Sweden 🍻
Thanks for making
Love the new colors of the buggy!
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
now I'm picturing all three of them in loin cloth giggling running through the forest... Thanks. didn't need that.
My brother had an old jeep pickup that was very flexible he would take it out in the woods behind his house, these woods had no trails just pot holes as big as cadilac cars and this jeep of his would crawl thoo that crap like it was made for it and it made the same creaking noises as your buggy, these potholes he navigated also had very large rocks at some of them. It was the weirdest looking pickup truck I ever seen. shift to a different vehicle he had a 72 chevy blazer he'd put his B.F.GOODRICH all terrain radial TAs on in the winter and drive thoo and on 3 feet of sno just for grins in peoples fields. You have the same spirit he did or it's brother you will win the great spirit will make it so.
Shawn, running though the forest in a loincloth. Now THAT’s an image I can never unsee! 😳
Kinda mesmerized by the crawling buggies. Pretty dang cool
Great show guys, it’s so cool to be able to find a problem and just fix it yourself, the new shop looks great.
Keep up the great job
I've been waiting for this video.. you have that buggy dialed pretty well, you're gonna do great at 24 hrs!
Here's hoping. Lol.
@@trailmater well you're not gonna twist the axle this time, so you'll be fine 🤣
@@cadilakisrodcustom I 'shouldn't' twist the axle... Don't say I can't... Hahaha.
@trailmater I'll give you that.. but it's a much better show when there's carnage lol
I believe that "Banana Slider" is a registered TM of Matt's Offroad Recovery. Just saying.
Rory, your driving skills are top notch. Stay out if the puddles though. 😮😮
Green is good. (Especially paint code HD, "Gotta Have It Green," like on my Mustang!) 🤘
I love the paint. If I was going to give this buggy a name I’d call it Leap Frog.
Lime green and black. Always a win. I like it.
Ok, the ingenuity you guys have is just amazing. Now I do have a real issue, you guys all know the proper paint prep technique I cannot believe that you are not following. Blow torch, tach and paint, this will also help prevent over spray as well. Dang it! I am just glad that you did not scratch the new paint at all either.
Hell yeah! That buggy is a trooper!
The paint is great color
Great work on the Buggy Rory, Shawn and Mike. Great test run. 🤙😎
I really appreciate the Red Green show reference toward the end…
I’m digging the new color of the buggy. Looks good guys. Don’t scratch it lol
yeh buddy. nice footage. Be well.
That's a cool repair, never seen anyone do that before but it looks stronger than it was that's for sure! Can't wait to watch you guys do the 24 Hell and Back!😎
Awsome
green is a good color
The red green show lol. Come on up moose hunting in Alaska next year. Season starts September 1 🇺🇸💪👍
Okay, after the loin cloth comment, I retract my invention to come moose hunting! No one wants to see that! 😂💀
I swear when I watch this stuff, I can hear the wheel bearings screaming - from Europe!
Thanks for the video guys
Sean, the loin cloth idea, just might start a trend among our people 😅
