- Customer contacted me about his rolled sxs in the White Wash Sand Dunes. He then told me that his truck and trailer were also stuck. So Mike and I loaded up and went out to help him get all his stuff out of there. Thank you to everyone for watching and supporting us.

FINALLY! I've watched too many recovery videos on Matt, Rory, and other channels of people who were high-centered on the sand with a winch on their Jeep and they had to call for rescue because they had nothing to winch to.
Need to put LAND ANCHOR in the title so it's searcheable.

I like to imagine the emotional roller coaster customers ride when they first hear Trail Mater's low grumble. A dot appears in the distance. Hope soars, salvation is at hand.
Mater, (the Swiss army knife of off-roading) resolves into detail and hope begins to sink.
"This is going to save me and my large inappropriate rig?"

Rory keeps his videos light and entertaining with his infectious laugh and determination. The videos are definitely getting better all the time. The scenery is amazing.

Yes Trail Mater has to be one of the best outfitted recovery vehicles. From straight recovery to tail repairs Trail Mater seems to cover it all.

Jeeps would never understand a land anchor. It's above their pay grade.
Props to the guy getting recovered. He had some common sense on what to do, even grabbing the winch line so Rory didn’t run over it.
Honestly blows my mind when I see people that aren't like that guy.
@@Globbs Ya most people don't know what to do with themselves around actual work.
@@Globbs If they don't know what they're doing, it's often safer for everyone involved if they just stay out of the way. Not everyone who breaks their side-by-side is experienced with off-road recoveries, and being in the wrong place at the wrong time can be very dangerous.
@@KarlEller Agree. Like when he put his hand on the pivot point of the anchor as it was moving. Just got lucky there.

as we speak 200 more land anchors were sold thanks to rory's video.
I thought Jeep was the first with the Liberty.

One thing i will say, the more videos i see of You, Matt, Paul doing recoveries the more respect i have for the outdoors and the build on your vehicles, i am on my first build 1988 K5 Blazer so far is the body with a 6" lift that it came with, and 33" tires on 15" wheels (not alloy) but working on improvements, i see yhe builds on your channel and the other builds and just gets me grooling that some day i can have a capable vehicle, not as much as yours but enough not to get in trouble, better said enough to get me out of trouble,THANK YOU!!!! for the info and the fun of acompanying you on this adventures....

This is what we had many years ago around !ake texoma & the tricky S Canadian river. Rock crawling wasn't a thing yet, so we went & played in the sand. There were 3 things necessary, or a fun day could quickly turn into an afternoon on the end of a shovel, or winch practice. Nice big tires, the perfect gear ratio, & lots of torque from a big block. Happy days!

Man it was cool seeing ole mater get to stretch his legs and play on that hill at the end … for a rig that works so hard a little goofing around once and awhile is well deserved !

The client seemed to have a grasp of the physics involved, enough to at least contribute to his own recovery. Now, as to why he was in that position, in that rig in the first place....?

I just want to compliment you on providing a variety of rescue scenarios and for the editing. As a loyal follower of you and Matt I appreciate that you don't spend much time showing the hook-up process (unless it is unique). Thanks for letting me start Saturday morning watching a pro at work.

i'm imagining something like Grind Hard Plumbing's Ford Ranger with a wrecker on the back....

Dubinki is deep sand, I was surprised how well Trailmater could go in the dunes! The flotation of the duelies must help a bunch, don’t be fooled people, you will be calling Rory if you drive your vehicle out there!
He probably has the off road recovery all to himself, cornered the market so to speak.

I bet that guy looked & said WTF when Mike said " alright we get to use the land anker !" Matt & Paul doesn't have a chance . The question is who is coming in second? Its a crazy world now alot of ugly out there but your videos are very entertaining & make me smile . After I watch your videos over & over I just can't quit smiling. I like the way you don’t exploit your recoveries, you are the same all the time. If you make a miscalculation you admit it. I’ll always be watching your channel. I like Shawn’s dry sense of humor. I know he doubles as a camera, but put him out front more I also like Mike, because of his story telling. Keep up the good work.

I was sitting here chuckling when you were pulling the truck and trailer behind the trail mater. trail mater looked so small pulling such a big load. Just bloody awesome.
Its funny how I associate sand recoveries with MORR and you normally with rock crawling trails. Awesome to get this video to see the versatility of your skill and setups.

Just because you have a vehicle capable of going just about anywhere doesn't mean you can. You need someone with the skill and experience to use that vehicle and you Rory, are just the sort of person that does it so well.
> Try putting a short length of chain or line at the rear of the anchor blades and pull the anchor in reverse to extract it. That works on the old Danforth anchors when they bury in 2 or 3 feet deep in clay way down in deep muddy water. I like the look on your customer's face when they see the battle scarred warrior Trail Mater roll up, You know they are thinking Oh No. And after the extraction, Oh Yeah! Keep doing what you're doing, great entertainment.
