You guys made it look easy and I was super impressed with the whole process. Good equipment and good teamwork. I have done a lot of rigging to move smaller buildings the hard way over the years, and seeing this done by pros on a large scale was impressive. Great work!

Highly motivated and very skilled. They made it look easy! I live in Australia and I've never seen these mobile homes. I've seen houses moved on trucks, usually in the early hours of the morning because they are wide and take up both sides of the road.
Lois you do not have mobile homes in Australia?? The ones that’s really fascinating are the double wides two go down the highway and at the final destination they kind of zipper them together and you have one really large house!!

I think I've seen a double wide maybe on DIYfferent. Houses, timber ones, get moved quite often here. If they are very large, they are cut in half and moved on two trucks and then put back together at the new site. Usually they are moved late at night or very early morning to avoid traffic etc.
Back 30 yrs ago I bought a 1975 mobile home for a rental here in Georgia. Was going to move it to another county nearby but I couldn't get a permit because it was an older trailer. It may be different now I don't know. It does vary from state to state I guess. Congratulations on the move. I know you guys are anxious to get it set up and ready to be moved in.

That’s the equipment they used to pull our daughter’s art studio (1986 Connor single wide) onto our property. It’s amazing to watch. They can turn a 50’ home on a dime. Hope your getting settled isn’t as nerve wracking as the move!! Much love from South Carolina 💗💗

So did I Tommy and O'Leta. My late husband moved Mobile Homes for many many years and I was a dispatcher for (moving Mobile Homes) almost 10 years in NC. I have never seen anything like this move...It was amazing. Happy you finally got it moved.

Wow, these guys make difficult maneuvering look easy. I didn’t expect them to roll it right down the hill but I suppose it was the easiest rather than going round all the twists and turns of the driveway. That was real interesting Sam and Angela. Its amazing how they can move a home with Remote Controlled tractors with special hydraulic lifts. You could tell, they were true professionals with their work.
Holy geemoolie. The house coming down the hill almost gave me a nervous breakdown. I can't imagine how guys were feeling. Not to mention how much of a wreck you must have been when it was all over. You almost had a grown man in tears.

I am so glad they hooked the second machine up to the primary tractor. The whole shebang could easily have slid down the hill on that green grass. I have seen it happen too many times. Very slick operation. Those guys knew what they were doing.

I could tell when they put the blocks underneath and leveled it that it wasn't as high as it was on your other homestead, I like that it isn't as high. This was positively E P I C❗😲 💙 The moving company was SO professional and it looks like they did an excellent job! Such amazing equipment to make the move safer! Top-notch filming, on the ground and in the air! Thanks for the care you took to enable us to live vicariously to experience the historic move! 🥰 My random thoughts as I watched: .. I didn't realize you had neighbors so nearby in NC. I had gotten the impression you were pretty isolated. .. When you hooked up the camera in the boys' room, and I saw the stuff on the floor, I thought, "Oh, no". Then we see and hear that stuff slide across the floor. Sure hope the floors and walls weren't scratched too bad. I thought you had to remove anything that could potentially move inside the house? .. OMG, down the steepest part of the hill, YIKES! ... When they were unloading and the house tipped, OMG, my heart skipped a beat, for sure! I hope nothing got twisted up! 🤞 .. When you got to TN, "excitement over" so Elijah is back to being a kid, mining in the dirt pile. 🥰 .. The new site wasn't as flat as I thought, based on the view of the home on blocks. .. Will it stay on blocks? Seems like I recall you were hoping for something different, but then I heard you say it was "set, anchored, leveled", so I'm unsure. 🤔 .. You mentioned the moving guys working so well as a team that they needed virtually no communication. What you didn't see was their texts to each other, "oh crap, did you see that", "dang, that wasn't supposed to happen", "sh#%, now what are we going to do", etc. 😉 🤣 .. Loved seeing Angela so excited! You 3 boys...WTH⁉️ This isn't something you see every day. It's OK to get a little giddy with excitement! 🙌 🤣 ... Now we start the "installation" process: * Water * electricity * sewer .. THEN you can start the back-and-forth of moving everything from storage. .. THEN you can unpack! 😉 BUT...it's all a labor of love as you settle in to your forever homestead. Congratulations, Sam, Angela, and the feral children! ❤️
What an incredible thing to watch! For a while I thought they were going to loose the house going straight down the incline but thankfully they didn't. I especially enjoyed the videos coming from inside the boy's bedroom. I am elated that your home made it to your new home site and have to admit I was surprised how small your old property was, in your videos it always appeared to be much larger than it was. Thank you for taking us along on your new journey.

Praise the Lord for his goodness to us all. This was amazing. I thought it was something years ago when they used 2 trucks to pull our house up the hill to place it. But this was truly a sight to see. I always wondered how they got some of the houses I saw where they put them. Now I know. Definitely educated about that now. Thank you for sharing. Oh, my goodness, the crew sure did a fantastic job! My husband was getting ready for bed & I told him he just had to watch. He was glad he did, because it reminded him of many times when he was working on locomotive derailments. He said there is very little talking & everyone knows exactly what they have to do. When they got to the ditch, 😳 I just keep thinking how much they will appreciate the new homestead! They really didn't do any damage to the grass on the way to the new property!
I kept thinking, as I watched the whole, tortuous move down that hill, "It's a good thing those floors and walls have been upgraded to stick home standards." I was holding my breath and didn't even realize it!! We live on the knees of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, and it's kind of cool to think y'all will be living not far from that same mountain chain, the Appalachians! That was freaking amazing . To see the house come down the hill like that and to fly the roads liked it was winged. I traveled on those roads in a semi and we passed several of mobile homes being relocated . I am so glad things went well . Just think it was flat with nothing . Look how far the homestead has come . Congratulations!

They sure have changed the moving equipment over the years! I had no idea so much was radio controlled. I still held my breath until it was moving backwards on the road which I'd never seen before either. So happy for you all.
That was absolutely amazing! Pure professionalism on the movers part. I've seen the Rc cats used for shed moving, but not on this scale. I hope your drywall faired well. We had cracks above most of our doorways, and the house was only moved about 20 miles on flat roads. Looking forward to your inspection video.

If the ground is dry, and roomy, will almost always swing around and do a pull in. Easier, cheaper, less damage than backing and turning. I always set it between pins placed at pre site inspection. 2 and 3 units spotted 3 inches apart. Kitchen/heavy half always spotted 1st.

What an incredible thing to watch! For a while I thought they were going to loose the house going straight down the incline but thankfully they didn't. I especially enjoyed the videos coming from inside the boy's bedroom. I am elated that your home made it to your new home site and have to admit I was surprised how small your old property was, in your videos it always appeared to be much larger than it was. Thank you for taking us along on your new journey.
Angela stated exactly what I was thinking about it looking smaller than before, but as your stated about it being lower to the ground, and that adds to the small look. I'm excited about the fact that you are going to get to move in soon... Blessings and I'm expecting the best all around...
Unbelievable! I can just imagine how the adrenaline was pumping through you both. I was a nervous wreck just watching the move even knowing it was already in the past. That crew really knew their stuff and had some neat toys. I can just picture your boys wanting to get their hands on those remote controls. Praise the Lord for his goodness to us all. This was amazing. I thought it was something years ago when they used 2 trucks to pull our house up the hill to place it. But this was truly a sight to see. I always wondered how they got some of the houses I saw where they put them. Now I know. Definitely educated about that now. Thank you for sharing. We really enjoyed seeing this. Pray everything else goes as smoothly for you as this transferring your house has. Know the boys enjoyed all the excitement too. Haha.

Oh, my goodness, the crew sure did a fantastic job! My husband was getting ready for bed & I told him he just had to watch. He was glad he did, because it reminded him of many times when he was working on locomotive derailments. He said there is very little talking & everyone knows exactly what they have to do. I kept thinking, as I watched the whole, tortuous move down that hill, "It's a good thing those floors and walls have been upgraded to stick home standards." I was holding my breath and didn't even realize it!! We live on the knees of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, and it's kind of cool to think y'all will be living not far from that same mountain chain, the Appalachians! That was freaking amazing . To see the house come down the hill like that and to fly the roads liked it was winged. I traveled on those roads in a semi and we passed several of mobile homes being relocated . I am so glad things went well . Just think it was flat with nothing . Look how far the homestead has come . They sure have changed the moving equipment over the years! I had no idea so much was radio controlled. I still held my breath until it was moving backwards on the road which I'd never seen before either. So happy for you all.
That was absolutely amazing! Pure professionalism on the movers part. I've seen the Rc cats used for shed moving, but not on this scale. I hope your drywall faired well. We had cracks above most of our doorways, and the house was only moved about 20 miles on flat roads. Looking forward to your inspection video.

If the ground is dry, and roomy, will almost always swing around and do a pull in. Easier, cheaper, less damage than backing and turning. I always set it between pins placed at pre site inspection. 2 and 3 units spotted 3 inches apart. Kitchen/heavy half always spotted 1st.

Whew! What a relief! We have moved 2 single wide trailer houses (without moving companies) onto new Homesteads. This last one was a doozy. So thankful y'all were able to use a moving company. Looks like they did a great job. Thanks for sharing.
