Firstly thank you for your excellent video! but i couldn't that 8:40. The circle is not seen when i using "move option". What can i solve this problem?
i can't get the finished screw to have so many vertices, i only have the first one that goes around the side
When i outline my image with the vertices, it will make an odd shape like a bottle, or a bowl. No where near the shape i'm trying to make. am i doing it wrong?
Really good video, you're extremely good at explaining so it's not too complicated.
You earned a sub.
Thank you
Yeah, nice service to make more people to get into blender more easily 👏
If the image Disappears when rotating the View Port
Select the Empty Object (The Image) Go to Data Tab, in the Empty Section enable Perspective in "Show In" Settings
wow thx. was trying to figure out why the hell it kept dissapearing lol :)
thank you so much, happened to me and i just couldn't find out why.
@@perezz76 No problem, we are here to help each other. Happened to me too and had to research why for some hours. So maybe this helps others save that time.
@@gnanlitch9543 it sure as hell did, spared me a lot of time
thank you so much lol, this has changed my whole life (exaggeration but thx so much loll)
2:55 is imposable for me when i do it it just makes a line
Awesome video im trying to get into Character design This video is very informative keep up the Great work
I just started to learn blender and I was searching for this. Good video thanks!
I cant get the extrude to work at all i even clicked on extrude anything with extrude it wont work.
For some reason when I choose screw modifier. It turns into a donut. I extruded so good and shaped the head of Rainbow Dash but when I hit screw modifier it turns into the shape of a donut. I dont know what I am doing wrong.
Make sure to apply the scale by pressing Ctrl + A and click on apply scale
for some reason when i extrude the lines never follow my reference pic, it keeps going behind it, am i doing something wrong?
the screw modifier doesn't works looks nothing like what i drew
How do you do one that isn't shaped like a mushroom?
If you have another character suggestion let me know :)
@@realfaker what if the character isnt symmetrical
I tried adding the image directly from my file explorer to blender. It did work, but for some reason everything disappears and I can't find the image anymore. Someone suggested to use Data tab but i can't find it. Is there any alternative that may work? I am using Blender 4.2
This is perfect, because I see what for keys or mouse using, thx.
I cant find the vertex "g" and "e" funtions in my Mac
how did u stand it up bc im having trouble doing that, my object just disappears, can u help me
Yeah! I am having same problem
Its now working for me with blender 4.1. After deleting object, you need to hit 1 and then import image. Then you can add the mesh plane by hitting shift + a, Mesh -> Plane. Then, you need to hit Tab button which then will select plane and with mouse only select one corner of that plane then hit CTRL + i which select other vertecies and then hit delete button and delete vertecies. Now, we only left 1 verteces that we need to use further.
Can I transfer/import drawings I made in gimp to blender?
Absolutely you can, I do the same
@@realfaker How?
I subscribed to your channel, because I wanna learn how to do this tutorial.
Thank you.. if you have any questions let me know
@@realfaker OK, you're welcome.
I have imported image properly on line. But when I hit mouse middle button to see the image's side view it shows tiny dot with zoom out. Not sure what's the issue. I am using blender 4.2
I have figured it out that blender 4.2 gives unexpected result while hitting mouse middle button. Now its working with blender 4.1
WE APPRECIATE YOU BRO
thx
bro if you could actually explain the steps in between - tell us when to switch between object to edit mode, when to apply etc. skipping some of this shit made this simple tutorial take a lot longer
this is so hard
Which part you find hard, I'll help
I wasted 18 hours to make a single character just to learn i could have done it in just 5-10 clicks -_-
